Firstly we stay here regularly and love the location and ambience of the hotel. The staff are overall excellent and very helpful.However, we have noticed every time we stay issues that existed before have not been rectified.

The coffee machine at breakfast is constantly out of action due to no milk, no coffee beans or coffee grinds need emptying.

They do not replenish the breakfast juices which again are almost always empty when we have gone for juice.

These issues have occurred on our last three visits. What is management going to do about this!

Finally, we booked our current stay through Qantas which included 2 drinks per adult per day. However on arrival none of the front desk staff understood this even though we showed them the details. The gentleman on the desk finally gave us only vouchers for one drink each and made us feel like we were trying it on. We followed this up further with a more knowledgeable lady on reception who understood the Qantas deal and provided the vouchers.
Management you need to train your staff better on deals you sell through third parties such as Qantas to avoid poor customer service. In addition the gentleman who served us at reception could improve his customer service.

What a beautiful hotel, amongst the more corporate looking buildings around it. The hotels decor captures the history and essence of the building . It is well placed to explore many of Canberras attractions. The staff were lovely and helpful. We did get awoken by the occasional extra noisy vehicle but it didn’t spoil our stay . Thank you 🙏🏽

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kurrajong Canberra. The hotel blends historic charm with modern comfort beautifully. The restaurant was great for dinner and drinks as well as breakfast. The room was stylish and comfortable, the service was warm and professional, and the location was perfect for exploring Canberra. A peaceful, elegant place to stay — I’d happily return!

Hotel Kurrajong was 3 minutes from where we had to be, so we decided to stay there. The room was fresh and modern. Heating/Cooling perfect. The staff kindly gave us a cot for our child and a high chair to eat. They were so helpful. We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was delicious. The bar and grill staff were helpful, friendly and fast. The only thing better than the food was the service. While we did stay during the week, the price was really good for the comfort and quality. Highly recommended.

This hotel is in a quiet area of Canberra, in walking distance to cafes and restaurants, parks, the river walk and some of Canberras important sites, like the old parliament. Staff was lovely and the hotels decor is very appealing. There is a cute beer garden to the front. Rooms are spacious and clean and very quite at night. The bathroom is large and modern.
Great stay in a lovely area of the city.

Our food was terrific and the service was courteous, attentive, and unassuming. Enjoyed our lunch very much in this hidden gem that so few folks know about.

It was 3pm and I was tired of doing the inquisitive and excited touristy thing around the area. And I was hungry and very much in need of a chilled one. So I walked up along the historic national circuit, exchanged a few pleasantries with Chifley and Curtin near Kings Avenue (pic for reference) and headed to Chifley for a guzzle...
What a charm and elegance to the place. It was not pretentious at all, and I could just enjoy my time in it's cool interiors and fill my tummy and spirits up.
The staff was polite and courteous, no judgy looks or anything whatsoever, I even roamed the indoors at my will to get a feel of and read up on the history associated with the place and its people of a time gone by.
The food ( pork belly in plum sauce) was delicious to no end. Overall a very good decision to pop into Chifleys for the food and the atmosphere.

The food is quite nice but severely overpriced. I paid $38 for a piece of salmon and then had to pay $9 for a side. So basically a $47 meal in a pretty ordinary restaurant.

We totally enjoyed our meal here. The steaks were an excellent cut and cooked exactly how we requested. Definitely the best sit- down meal we had on our holiday in Canberra.

The meals themselves are not large, but there is a generous selection of sides available to chose from, and the staff are more than happy to have sides and entrees shared around the table.

Over priced for what you get.

I ordered a prawn laksa - prawns were over cooked so they were rubbery.
Noodles ussd have an odd taste.
You get next to no greens.
Manager has poor customer service. Was tempted to walk out instead of ordering.

Unpretentious little local lunch spot with really tasty food. Don't be fooled by the presentation of the pre-prepared lunch options, they are generally delicious despite their appearance. Made to order food is fast, delicious and good value. Recommended.

Awesome food and incredible cocktails. Staff are attentive but not intrusive and friendly. I have been there for dinner with my husband and with friends. I had my 40th birthday dinner and attended my brother-in-law's birthday party and both occasions, with a packed restaurant, the staff exceeded expectations. Great for couples to groups.

The best Turkish restaurant in Canberra - I brought my whole work team of 30 here, and we enjoyed every dish that was served in our 8-course degustation menu. Beautiful upmarket venue with first class service.

I've eaten here many times and the food and service have never failed to impress. I only hold back a fifth star because, for me, it's too loud (a consequence of popularity), and there are almost no vegetarian options. I also wish the menu would change more often. However if you are looking for excellent non-vegetarian food and great service, and don't mind noise, this is one of Canberra's better options.
