Best Western Airport 85 Motel in Brisbane

Accidentally left some belongings there and emailed straight away to request they be put aside. The email was never replied to. Called as soon as I was back in the country and able to call (a week later). The receptionist was very unhelpful and said that they had probably thrown my belongings out.

The beds are also hard and location was a $30 uber from the airport. For the price, not worth it!

The room did not look like the photos as advertises on webpage.
It was dirty, I wouldn't sit on the chair in the room as it was so grubby, the carpet was dirty it made our feet black! The shower door was broken and dangerous, the toilet seat was loose and back of toilet was cracked. There was dirt in the wardrobe and when I shifted the chair the dust was built up all around the skirting board and obviously had not seen a vacuum in quite some time, there was one window high up in the room. Certainly not good enough and if I had realized when I checked in what it was like I would not have stayed. I did not expect 5 star but I did expect it to be clean. I did speak to the staff when checking out but the manager was not available. She did say she would tell the manager and I asked for an email with an explanation. I flew home to NZ and still have had no email. The staff also told me the motor inn was fully booked for the night we stayed. This was not a last minute booking. We have made contact with Best Western Head office. They were nice to deal with and tried to get a refund for us, but the operator of the hotel said we still used the room. Well we didn't go into the room to 9.30pm, and departing 7.15a, - what can you do. a very bad experience and disappointment that this lowers the Best Western chain of hotels if this is acceptable to them. DONT BOOK HERE,
