BreakFree Grand Pacific Resort in Caloundra

Having dined at multiple thai restraunts around the coast, multiple times, as it is a favourite cuisine, i was utterly disappointed.
The prices are exuberant, yet the food quality is BARELY passable, just. $17.90 for 4, SMALL, coconut deep friend king prawns for example is beyond a rip off. Having grown up in a trawling family, i'm aware of market pricing of that grade. Then i ordered chicken satay as my main. It was one chicken breast cut into 4 pieces, served with a bowl, of the most un loved, bland stay sauce i have tasted, anywhere, this cost me 28.90. My partner got the Chicken larb, which was ok, and bbq chicken wings for free on the 2 for 1 antree. They where dry, tiny, and bland again. Luckily, they where free.
Formerly a restaurant manager myself, i was hard pressed to continue being there, but it was my date night with my mrs.
The cocktails where nice, but lacked the fundamental ingredients of a good portion of alcohol.
The staff where great. The young lady that served us, was well mannered, prompt, and professional.
Having paid what we did, for the heartless, unpassionate food we recieved, we will not return. There needs to be a compromise.
Reduce cost of food, or increase quantity, and definitely, DEFINITELY find more passionate chefs.
The price you pay, really is just for their real estate, not quality food.

Very disappointing, we brought two mains and an entree. One dish was a simple Beef Thai fried rice, it was flavourless and tasted like it had been reheated. Costing $20 for such a simple meal this was very disappointing it tasted so bad. The other dish we ordered was the Seafood satay, this meal did not reflect the description in their menu. Ingredients were missing and again the meal was flavourless. The entree costed $9 for the chicken wings, we received 4 pieces. We have eaten a lot of Thai all across Australia. We usually at least get 6 pieces of chicken wings for that price. In conclusion, the meals are overpriced, bland and I wouldn't recommend their takeaway menu. We have tried other dishes but this was the final nail in the coffin. Will not be ordering takeaway from them again.

Slow to get seated from bar (had to ask a second time). Slow to get our order taken. Slow to get our food. Food comes cold.

The worst part. I thought I'd give hogs breath another go after 2 previous 1 star reviews of other stores.

DON'T DO IT!! Hands down one of the worst restaurants and dining experiences on the coast. Over rated and over priced. All four of us ordered the slow cooked prime rib and they were the saddest and thinnest pieces of prime rib I have seen in my life. Three of the four steaks served to our table were stone cold and the salads were so wet the plate was swimming. The steaks were sent back and they had the hide to return the same steaks to the table after they'd slapped them back on the grill to warm them back up, $40+ for a reheated steak they took two goes to get warm. Service was terrible and they took forever.
