Great location with ocean views. The decor of the room was lovely. A little disappointed with the lack of small details considering the price point, for example the in-shower conditioner and body wash ran out on the first night, no complimentary room servicing / fresh towels (we stayed three nights), and the TV was quite old (could only watch a movie on DVD but who even has those these days?).

Family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with large courtyard/balcony that had a bbq and jacuzzi (not hot) overlooking the ocean. The apartment was modern and spacious with a Hamptons/beach theme. Lots of amenities included. Hand wash, shampoo, lotion etc was provided and toilet paper/tissues to start you off. Wi-fi wasn’t very good, so recommend that you bring your own. Lots of dinner options on the street from level 1 and a variety of shops. It was difficult to find a decent coffee and the food prices are much higher than most places. There is a Coles close by where you can grab all your supplies. We have been staying in Mooloolaba for years now and this apartment is definitely one of our favourites.

Having been going to Zanzibar for over the 20 years. Live this place. Location amazing. Hotel refreshed very well. Sadly this time just a coupke of things. Would have been nice to know about the construction on the beachfront. The noise at times was terrible. The other inconvenience was the internet service. Wifi was non existent. Meaning no streaming television either. Difficult to get some work done. And no tral effort on behalf of managment. Only told when hotel is full its not very good. Consequently had teenagers complaining which I could have lived without in my vacation time. Hopefully these things are addressed for future. An offer of a small discount due to noise currently would also make a nice gesture during the time of construction. .

Save your money! Almost $600 a night and it was dirty. Nothing worked on the tv. Couldn’t even hot spot to it. A tv that did nothing. Wanted to watch a movie and the tv was a box of useless. Dreadful wifi network which was what we suspect the problem was. For $600 a night you should expect reliable wifi, a tv that works, a clean apartment and receptionist that gives a stuff. We’ll go elsewhere.

We originally checked into an apartment with a lovely view but the pervasive smell of mould, particularly in the back bedrooms. After bringing this to the attention of the receptionist/management, we were moved to another apartment for the rest of our stay. This made the world of difference to our experience.
Zanzibar had spacious apartments with world class views and a great position. Was terrific to overlook beautiful Mooloolaba beach. A favourite place!

A wet but pleasant week.
Of course you never know what the weather will be like, we got rain every day and grey skies and grey seas. So the view was a bit dismal, but with cafes and shops just downstairs , we could still enjoy some holiday vibes without getting too wet. The warm spa is a must or wet weeks.

This was our 7th extended stay at Zanzibar and again enjoyed all aspects of our stay. Our 2 br apartment had been recently refurbished and had all new appliances. Air con was very effective and apartment had all the facilities one wants for an extended stay. Booking, checking in & checking out was seamless and undercover secured parking is a big plus, as parking around The Esplanade is very restricted. Cyclone Alfred was approaching over our last few days there. Communications & preparations from Zanzibar Management was exceptionally good. Our only disappointment was the wifi. Reception was very weak & could only connect if sitting at the table in the middle of the apartment. IN previous stays, we have not experienced any issue with wifi. We have flagged this to management in our feedback to them. We highly recommend Mantra Zanzibar ..excellent location, excellent service, well priced and very clean & well equipped apartments to stay in

Overall, a great place to stay. Position was fabulous, view amazing, unit was spacious and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. Only real issue was the room was not ready for checkin on time (no explanation, apology or compensation).

Fantastic Location! We chose a 3 bedroom penthouse to enable us to have plenty of space and enjoy the roof top area. Unfortunately the stair case to the roof top area was quite precarious and as such we found ourselves not wishing to ascend and descend the stair case very often. The main pool area is located at the back of the building and lacked any resort feel. Ok if you just wanted a dip to cool down but not a great place to relax. The building is quite old but the unit we had did have renovations completed and it was quite nice.

Teriaki chicken was great my gf said the tofu was also great been there 3 times never encountered any problems listed in the other reviews. Nothing amazing but good food and enjoyable

Beef was raw and still had a pulse (was not advertised as Sashimi), karage was a piece of coles crumbed chicken. Tuna and avocado was good. Price was outrageous.

OMG - anticipated great meal for 10people and totally ruined by owners attitude to wine serving. TRUST ME - AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU APPRECIATE AND PAY FOR GOOD WINE..... Food was great and our waiter, Serge was attentive. HOWEVER, whilst wine list was great (extensive); after 1st bottle of red ~$250, we requested a 2nd. "Sorry, we don't have a second bottle". OK - nominate another from the wine list ~$275; waiter opened it at table and cork broke; took it over to manager at bar where they extracted it, then sieved into decanter and both tasted it. By the delay and consternation, something wasn't right. First, couldn't believe they were still pushing the wine on us. Waiter then poured wine taste; it was clearly corked and off; waiter seemed to agree with us ! However manager didn't. By this time, we'd finished our meal and declined the bottle. Had enough, when bill was sent it included the bottle after being told it wouldn't be ! Pity - great food however stingy manager behind bar totally ruined the experience, and now I'm telling you ! Oh, and they charged us for a small portion of extra parmesan to go with our pasta ?!!....

Great food, wine and service. Took us in at 9:00pm when everywhere else was fully booked along the Esplanade. Ordered 5 main dishes plus entrees, all the food was great, Tiramisu was the best I've ever had. Will be coming back soon.

Food was Devine, we had a pizza, a salad and a pasta all was great. Good customer service. Nice setting, is somewhat noisy inside and some seats are facing into the kitchen only. Overall good experience.

I was pleasantly surprised just how good the food was here. I had crispy skin pork belly and it was delicious. The chocolate dessert was amazing too. Great service and great food.
I will definitely be back.
