Room was quite nice and spacious, a little dated and perhaps not value for money. Also, didn’t appear to be anyway to lock the sliding balcony door and not really a fan of just a metal shutter window beside the bed, as opposed to a sealed window.

We only stayed one night after cutting our visit short due to the cyclone brewing off coast. Despite several conversations with the hotel and *******, we were not able to negotiate any refund from either, so I would consider whether it’s worth booking this hotel (or using ******* to do so?) at the of year where cyclones/ severe storms may come in, or at very least consider booking a flexible rate in case, like us, you wish to move to avoid any incoming cyclones. Port Douglas I’m sure is a beautiful place when it’s not raining cats and dogs! We may return at some point but we may choose a larger hotel chain where there flexibility is available in case plans change. I’m also not sure what value ******* brought to this as they didn’t appear to have any weight in conversation with the hotel.

Spotless room had everything you needed. Friendly helpful staff. Had little touches like umbrellas in the room (wet season) & bath robes. Fresh fruit plate with breakfast. Pool area was absolutely gorgeous. 10/10

Super helpful and friendly staff. Good relaxing vibes, with washing machines and other necessary supplies in room that you can use. Cafe area is just next to 4 mile beach.Recommend all to come and experience a peaceful stay here!

Cool and peaceful hotel by the 4 miles beach. Very spacious, for adults only. But the breakfast is open to all public. Very delicious and healthy breakfast with fruit platter and fruit juice. The staff are very prompt in replying emails/enquires. They can help to book airport shuttle and tours too. Nice swimming pools. Recommend to all adults who will like to have a peaceful stay in Port Douglas. Walking distance to cafes, marina, park, shops!

Our room was looking out at the beach. The whole hotel was beautiful with a nice pool, a jacuzzi, a large tub with jets, a shower, a stove top, a nice dining area, a microwave and a fridge. We had a wonderful time. The wait for the complimentary breakfast at the restaurant was sometimes long but the food was wonderful.

Lovely little hotel, perfectly positioned between the main street and the beach.
Lovely pool with lots of semi private areas for couples to relax.
Lovely staff, nice breakfast, didn't turn a hair when we arrived 1 minute late for the designated breakfast window.
I would not even look at other options next time - would be v happy to come here again.

Could be cleaner, room was ok, the location was very good

Excellent position overlooking Four Mile Beach, while being an easy walk to the shopping area. Good size 1 bedroom suite with a great balcony. The swimming pool area is very good. Just a couple of things that could be improved - the floors needed a really good clean and there were quite a few cobwebs around the ceiling and entry doorway. We would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Fabulous location right on the beach, we had a beachfront room & could hear the waves from the ocean at night.
Room was tired, small and smells musty. We were right next to the restaurant & reception so quite noisy (could hear staff cleaning glasses in the bar) until ~9:30pm.
Breakfast in the restaurant was lovely & all staff friendly.

Nice venue, friendly staff, very average and limited food menu. Go if desperate.

Good atmosphere and service, but the food was very average. I had a beef and reef - tough overcooked pan fried piece of meat. One of the worst ones I ever had.

So good to have a Vegan pizza option in Port Douglas! The pizza was absolutely delicious. Great dough/base and quality toppings. Keep up the good work!

The pizza was under cooked and for the money i expected more ingredients. We just didn't enjoy it
25.04.2017 Daniel
Very tasty pizza. Delicious authentic bases. Highly recommend. When we went the service was quick and very friendly.

I am surprised to see the previous reviews. My family and I loved the pizza, especially the base, which was thin, crispy and tasty, just like in Italy. We wanted the deal with the 2 for 1 homemade tiramisu but there was only one tiramisu left, so the chef gave us the tiramisu plus a desert pizza with nutella, bananas and walnuts, my kids loved it and asked for more. If you want an authentic pizza in Port Douglas, go to Portico!

The place advertizes vegan options but does not actually offer them giving the excuse that the suoermarket was out of stock. That would be the same supermarket we went to and bought all vegan ingrediants including vegan cheese and made our own pizza. The attittude of the sales girl was very poor and it seemed that out business was not wanted and that was before we asked for the vegan options. The pizzas are quite small for the price and will not fill a hungry large adult. Much improvemement required.
