Hotel Dominic in Solden

Location is great. Hotel room was decent. Service was really bad. The food was underwhelming. The main waitor was a bit rude.

The only reason they get a star, was the actual star of the the hotel, Carolina. She was very sweet.

UNSAFE HOTEL
My husband and I arrived in Belgrade from Istanbul on September 11, 2021 by 7.35 a.m. flight. We came to Dominic Luxury Suites Parliament by Aleksandar Limo Taxi (the taxi service Dominic works with) from the airport. While we were at the airport, my husband took out his wallet to buy foreign currency, but the taxi driver Luka said that the exchange rate was better in the city and we should exchange it in the city, so my husband put the wallet back in the backpack and we got in the car.
When we arrived at the hotel, the room was not ready, so we left the small suitcase and the backpack with Jelena Ristic at the concierge desk without opening any of them. Later, we remembered that we left the wallet at the hotel and my husband returned to the hotel to get the wallet. Bags were moved to the room, but there was no wallet in the backpack.
When we saw Jelena again on September 13, we asked her if she had been in the lobby for about half an hour, as she stated, when our bags were left in the lobby. “I'm not quite sure,” she said. Then we asked if it was possible to see the camera recordings of the half an hour period while our bags were waiting in the lobby. Jelena said she asked the manager, but due to a password issue, the manager was unable to access the records. Meanwhile, she called the taxi driver to check if we had left a wallet in the car, she got a negative answer. We then said that we wanted to talk to the manager. She replied that the manager was on vacation, but she would try to reach him. The next morning, on the morning of September 14, Jelena told us that, thinking over it again, she was sure that she did not leave the lobby while our bags stayed there, adding that she was not able to reach the manager. Thus, we kindly requested Jelena, when she got in touch with any of the managers, to ask him/her to call us. But no hotel representative has given a call to us during the days we stayed at the hotel.
Back home, we sent three e-mails dated 16, 20 and 21 September to the hotel requesting them to forward us the hotel camera /video record of the half an hour period during which our two bags were in the lobby.
Mr. Aleksandar Mojovic, founder and CEO of the hotel, replied on October 3 saying that “We cannot share surveillance footage, unless there is a report to the police. If you did report this case to the police, I would kindly ask you to send us report document attached, and with this we can ask that certain footage is sent to you,” adding that “videos are saved for 30 days.”
The combined evaluation of events puts the hotel in a dubious position. I wanted to bring this to the attention of those who are considering staying at this hotel.
