Urbanhof in Solden

Stayed here for one night as we were passing through. I'm not as impressed as everyone else seems to be. They really have to step up and provide more information on their website, where no relevant info, like opening hours can be found. Also, they only provide one parking lot per room. I get it - we're probably not their regular customer, three guys with three cars, but this is highly relevant information. We were shown to park our cars in a public garage for 14 € per car and night instead. The total cost for the night thus increased significantly. If this were known before hand, we probably would have looked somewhere else. This is the only time we had this issue on our visit in the Alps.

The rooms are newly renovated, clean and fresh. However, there's a major construction flaw: The toilet/bathroom is not soundproofed at all. The glass doors sure looks good, but are useless at being an actual door. If you are ok with hearing exactly what your parner/friend is doing on the toilet, sure, go ahead. If you're not, go somewhere else. Furthermore, the toilet itself tends to splash it's content on to the seat when flushing (with the lid closed), which is quite nasty.

We didn't eat any breakfast, so I've nothing to say about it.

clean, modern, good location - quiet yet only 5 minutes walk to the ski lift and ski shops. Marion who greeted us and was there everyday couldn’t have been more welcoming and charming. excellent housekeeping. room spotless everyday. Breakfast delicious with good coffee.
