What to say about this hotel? I primarily choose this hotel because of someone complaining that the air-conditioning worked too well. But what I didnt know was how good an experience this was going to be. Starting off the size is quite large compared to other hotels used.,….. seems like the hotel choose for more size / rooms and no onsite parking. There are friendly hotel attendants that take you to the parking lot which is about 1/2 a mile away and bring you back …. Minor inconvenience compared to the property.

This is quite a modern hotel, if you are looking for charm associated with older style hotels, this is not for you. However if you choose it…. You probably will not be disappointed. The welcome centre is large and spacious. We arrived early and the staff kept out luggage in closed off area but not seemingly secure. Nothing happened but a bit disconcerting. We were off to the Schafberg [see my comments on that - not to miss]. the train for Schafberg is right adjacent to the parking lot…. And in any case the hotel attendants were able to drop and pick up from the station within a short time.

When we got back, we got to see our room - in keeping with the modernity - room was spacious and very modern. And yes the air conditioning was marvelous. One thing with the A/C, it needs for the patio doors / windows to be closed. And I thought they were but they were needed to closed. The shower is transparent glass and this also was one of the debates that we had before booking. Wasn’t that much of an issue at the end.

Slept well and next morning we saw the breakfast location and spread. We had had drinks the day before but the location overlooking Wolfgangsee was amazing. Having breakfast from the sumptuous buffet on the patio…. When you think of the Austrian countryside, this is what you get. Breakfast buffet included you being able to make fresh juice, from the fruit and vegetables. A delightful cold cut and cheese buffet, all sorts of coffees, fresh squeezed juice, prosecco besides having your eggs made to order.

Had a great afternoon sitting off the deck… dont forget to pack your swimming gear with you.

Beautiful place. Great for a family with a small kid. We visited with 2,5 months old. Very friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfasts and beautiful swimming.

We spent 3 nights in Scalaria (friday-monday) and I must say that we have been very satisfied with our stay. The location is gorgeous, on the begining of the pedestrian part of Sankt Wolfgang. You can park your car in front of the hotel for check in (then you can park approx 800m on a public parking place for 8€/day, there is a hotel minibus taking you there if necessary). The private beach - and wooden pier - is fantastic, although there is a lot of sunbeds quite close to each other. Despite the fact that some people still put towels in the morning to "reserve" sunbeds (which should be stricly forbidden and controlled by staff members), you can find free sunbeds whenever during the day. There is a stand for paddleboards with lockers so that you can leave yours during the night, which is very convenient (an electric pump to be borrowed would be a top little improvement :-) Only small minus is the size of the rooms (we were on level 15) which is rather smaller, bed is as well a bit tight (i guess this is a 160cm large) and we missed some shelves or closet to put our things. Breakfast is fantastic, served from 7 till 12 so that you can have another round of coffee around 10-11, which is a great plus. Overall feeling is very positive, we are looking forward to coming back !

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. Three nights. Staff are professional, helpful and nice. When the sink got blocked, they immediately resolved the issue. The location of the hotel is perfect. Next to the old town where you can have cafés,restaurants, shops and a grocery store. The hotel gave us free bottled water whenever we need. The room withThe breakfast place is next to the lake where you can eat breakfast while enjoying a panoramic view of the lake. The hotel is also opposite the bus station if you go to Salzburg or Bad Ischl.
