Hotel Pension Baron am Schottentor in Vienna

I didn't like this hotel very much.

I also read the reviews on Ctrip.

To be honest, you still need to take the subway to get to Vienna Main Station, even though it's only about two stops.

After exiting the subway, I followed Google Navigation.

But I couldn't find it when I got there.

Two kind foreign women told me where it was.

The hotel was closed after 7:00 PM.

I didn't arrive until 10:00 PM.

I had to carry my suitcase up several floors.

Luckily, I only had a small 20-inch luggage; a larger one would have been very heavy.

The self-service check-in was quite convenient. You could just enter your passport, reservation, and room card and check in. There was a Chinese option.

The hotel interior was small and not soundproof.

Many hotels in Austria are affordable.

Booked in advance and didn't get a refund, so I could only stay one night.

Austria has beautiful scenery, but I wouldn't stay there again.

The good thing about the hotel was that they agreed to pay the city tax, which I left on the table in my room.

I didn't see any of the hotel staff the entire time. I prefer self-service.

But the hotel room was not good. I was unhappy.

There is no air conditioning. Be careful when going there in the summer! It is very hot!
The room is on the roadside and very noisy
The window cannot be opened too wide for ventilation

The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the city center. It is not too far from the main attractions in the city and there are not many shops nearby. The room was nice and very comfortable when the windows were opened.
