Boutique Hotel Elysium in Baku

The worst hotel I have ever been. Since we arrived we are listening construction noises. There was a construction(not a small fix) going on and yet they let us book and didn’t even bother to mention about what is going on at the hotel. We listened 7 hours constant noises of drills, hammers etc. Even tho I was very patient, listening this for hours they kept saying in 5 min it will end which of course didn’t happen. When I wrote the owner he said we didn’t know you are at the hotel. It’s like a joke, assuming guests wouldn’t be at the hotel and thinking they can work from the noon until late evening without even bothering themselves to let guests know about the situation neither checking if guests are ok with that. If you want to stay somewhere who doesn’t value their guests, allow bookings even though the place isn’t in the right conditions, if you prefer getting headaches instead of peace of mind this is the place you should stay. Simply if your hotel is not ready for guests don’t take any reservations. Have some dignity.

It looks like a haunted place. Broken. Stairs. No lift. Hotel is on 2nd floor. From ground there is only 1 glass door and then stairs.

Stairs broken and so many repair items are scattered.

Lobby is unlike one can expect from the name.

Was worst mitake to book and waste miney. However i didnt stayed for a while.

Dont be fooled with name and location.

Do not go to this hotel unless you want to be scammed out of money and left to sleep on the Baku city streets. If I could leave zero stars I would. Booked this hotel multiple months ago for the Formula one race. Today (one month before the race), I was contacted today to cancel my booking because of 'technical issues' and was just told to cancel my booking. After contacting the hotel to double check what was going on and whether our booking was still confirmed, the man that answered the phone told me I had to cancel because they wanted to raise the price we paid (which was going up 10 fold). This is not only the most overpriced hotel ever but completely unfair. we were quoted and paid a price via Expedia and they decided one month prior to my booking that I had to cancel and rebook with the new price and unless I did that I did not have a room!. Not to mention the man that answered my call from the hotel was rude and unhelpful.I was left to rebook everything before the event when everything is now overpriced and most things are booked up.

The best thing is the helpful staff.

The hotel has no elevator and its on the 3rd floor. I dont recommend for old people or disabled.

They served fixed breakfast.

No bellboy

No car parking

Some staff not speaking english.

Excellent night rate
