Hotel Aazaert by WP Hotels in Blankenberge

Where do I begin, we arrived in the middle of a heat wave and although spending time on the beach was wonderful ,spending time and trying to sleep in our room was terrible .There is no air con and although we had a fan in the room sleeping at night was bad. This is meant to be a 4 star hotel, but there were so many things missing No beach towels Spa water only given on arrival No slippers or bath robes No pen or paper in the room No toiletries in the room, just a soap dispenser on the wall No restaurant in the hotel only open for breakfast You cannot phone other guest rooms in the hotel Beach discount given for only 1 day The small room safe was not bolted down and could be carried away But the best was the reception staff, they did not greet us on arrival and when we checked out we were not asked how was our stay. I know we are English and for the 4 days we stayed in Blankenberge we did not hear another English voice but my friend speaks fluent French so language is not a problem. The good things about the hotel is the indoor pool and the breakfast offering. Would we stay there again NO. After we checked out we went to see the Beach Palace Hotel, far superior and cheaper and air con throughout the hotel

Overpriced. Not value for the money. Very old furniture in the room. Breakfast is good. Wellness is pathetic. Haven't seen worse. 30€ extra for parking. 5€ extra for bathrobe. I felt lucky that we weren't charged for the bed once again at the checkout.

Room: Bathroom cleaned. However, Bed has double sheet and first mattress sheet were dirty and full of other people hairs. Looks like unwashed for very long time. Breakfast: Delicious food, various options. Service: Nice and very helpful stuff.
