Cozy and nice looking hotel near the center of Bruges. Nice location - near the center of Bruges but at the same time quiet and right next to the canal and bus stop. Lobby, halls and stairs areas look just gorgeous! Cool old furniture, paintings, statues etc. The stairs themselves are wooden and beatifully made. My room (number 2) had tall ceilings and huge windows facing the canal. Only wish it would...
This hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The biggest compliment I can pay it is that it felt like home. The staff were all outstanding and helped with places to visit and getting around. The room was superb, huge bed and so comfortable and clean. Stunning hotel with real character. Loved every second of our stay.
Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, delicious breakfast .. top location!
Extra comfortable room and beds. Quiet and beautiful area, but only 5 minutes walk to the main attractions of the city. Kind and helpful staff
Everything. Amazing stay! Best of our Europe Christmas markets trip. Would definitely stay there again & recommend.
The room is very retro and located in the center of the old town. It feels like every piece of furniture is an antique, but the bathroom facilities are modern enough, and the restaurant and corridors are very stylish. I thought that the sound insulation would be poor in such an old house, but it was actually okay. There were some minor floor noises that didn't bother me.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it did not live up to its advertised four-star rating. The location is excellent — very central and close to everything, which was incredibly convenient. However, the positives end there. The room was disappointing from the moment I walked in. It was not properly cleaned, the bed sheets were dirty and even torn, and the towels didn’t seem fresh at...
The location is great and the place is clean! The staff are very friendly! The city center is just a 3-minute walk away! There's also a supermarket nearby!
The location is in the center, the hotel is good, it takes 25 minutes to get to the hotel from the Flixbus stop on foot.
Very lovely hotel great location …..beautifully clean. But drinks in bar very very expensive xGin&Tonic£15 each.I
The room is quite big for Belgium, and the service is good. The advantage is that the wet and dry rooms are separated, but the only drawback is that there is no sink in the bathroom, so you have to go to the shower room to wash your hands. But this can be overcome. Everything else is good, the name is a bit strange from the Chinese perspective, but it doesn't matter.

Located right in the Grand Place of Bruges, it's a great place for a weekend getaway or short stay; the rooms are also quite spacious.
Very good location and hotel staff Mathius is very friendly and helpful.
The location is excellent, very convenient for shopping, and the service was great. They checked me in early in the morning, the breakfast was good, and the room was spacious! A very comfortable stay, highly recommended, very satisfied.
The hotel has a fantastic location, the service and breakfast were excellent, and the capsule coffee in the room was delicious.
Facilities: The room was very comfortable and spacious; two large suitcases could easily fit. The bed was also large enough for a child. Cleanliness: The room was very clean and comfortable from the lobby onwards. Environment: The hotel's interior environment was fantastic; the children loved the chess table in the lobby. The hotel is located right next to a plaza, making it a very convenient location...
The servers were all very professional, their movements were quick and efficient, and the customer experience was fantastic! 👍 It was so delicious, I finished it all in no time and even forgot to take pictures, hahaha.

The rooms were cleaned daily and the location was very good - we were within short walking distance of all the sights, food, and attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
the location was fine - close enough to get to some of the main attractions/canals with a short walk. NOT on a main drag, which we prefer for quiet. The property has apparently won some awards in the past, and had a nice dining room area, bar area, outside courtyard, but it didn't sweep me away for whatever reason. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient but not effusive - not that I need...
Very relaxing hotel with great ambiance being surrounded by many period features. Our room at the top was very clean and tidy and worked very well. The breakfast was great with plenty of fruit, fresh orange juice and includes a cooked breakfast if you wanted. The gentleman looking after the breakfast supply was very attentive, thanks. The check in was easy and explained the special parking and where...
The staff was friendly. I enjoyed my room. They have screens on their windows to protect from mosquitoes and bugs!!!!! Which really made my life easier and I have noticed that a lot of hotels don’t do this. I would come back just for this comfort! 💖 But they also have great customer service. I have a lot of allergies, especially to pets and feathers. As a pet friendly hotel, I was nervous about staying...
Bruges trip We were given a room upgrade, it was very peaceful looking out onto the courtyard. The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom and massive bed! The hotel was perfect for walking into the main city area. The staff were very helpful. My only minor criticism was the breakfast didn't open until 0800hrs and i needed an early start for business so we did not sample the breakfast. My fault...

Breakfast was not free. Not sure why it’s advertised as free but we had to pay for it.
Room was very clean and spacious. Lovely shower. Would have been nice to have had a coffee/tea machine in the room rather than just a kettle. All of the Staff were extremely helpfull and cheery. Perfect location. Very convenient to access the public car park although we found it difficult to find the entrance initially.
We stayed at this hotel recently and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent—close to many attractions and surrounded by plenty of restaurants, so getting around was very convenient. The room itself is a decent size with lots of cupboards for storage, which I really appreciated. The staff were also very helpful and friendly throughout my stay, which made a positive difference....
Bed in our initial room was extremely firm, but we asked at the front desk & the lady there very kindly moved us to a new room with a mattress topper. Was apparently the only one in the hotel, so I think we got pretty lucky there but the front desk lady was extremely understanding and friendly about it all. Cleaners were also lovely the one time I met them & room was always very clean.
Great place! Very clean and wonderful staff. Great location near train station too.
Overall, it was a wonderful three nights stay. We were able to relax the first night to ease our jet lag and rest of the stays were perfect.

Hotel de Orangerie is beautifully located, making it easy to enjoy the charm of the city. The room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing stay. While the bathroom layout was a bit unconventional and took some getting used to, everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was a delightful start to the day.
The staff couldn't have been more attentive, the entrance, common area with the lounge and dining room spectacular. The views from the antique windows were magical. Honestly, the common areas are as you would hope for such a magical historical place, the location was excellent, very walkable but quiet on a side street with the patio along the canal. It was really just our room - and not that the...
Wonderful, location and staff! Breakfast was one of the best on our trip. All restaurants they recommended and reserved for us were amazing! Only drawback is older age people have a problem getting into out of their high tubs, and very low ceiling in the room downstairs-so would not recommend for people over 5’11
The hotel is beautiful, there is no doubt about that! It’s designed perfectly and it feels very luxurious. We were disappointed, however; to stay in a room that had quite a serious mould issue in the bathroom. It covered the walls and the ceiling and caused a very musty smell when the shower was on. We didn't spot this until later in the evening as we had dropped our bags and left earlier in the day...
This hotel is quaint and charming. The staff are accommodating and polite. I booked the basic room without fully reading that it’s at the entrance of the hotel. Still a charming room but the noise from the street and sliding doors kept me up. They were able to upgrade me for a small fee. Both rooms were clean, comfy and had everything you’d need. Highly recommend this hotel.
Really lovely hotel and amazing staff. I did ask for a little something to be put in the room for my partners birthday, which they confirmed there would be but unfortunately nothing was which was a shame!

The location is nice , the room we were in was quite spacious. Employees were friendly. These are the nice points. But I wouldn't book here again ( another Brugge trip in 3 months) as the mattresses were really worn out and extremely soft. We woke up with back pain. The breakfast was nothing special , average. Beautiful hotel with amazing staff and food. Location is ideal. Only negative was the restricted access to the toilet. In order to fit a more luxurious jacuzzi bath, space was sacrificed for the toilet which was wedged in a small space with high sides on either side. Having said that, I would absolutely stay there again.
What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. The location could not be any more central, the staff are wonderful and the breakfasts are without the doubt the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. (Including the Waldorf Astoria and the Dorchester) We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Bruges.
Small hotel with a personal touch. Breakfast was lovely and hospitality brilliant. Steps to suite not for anyone with walking difficulties or poor eyesight ( lift only stops one floor above). Would have been a five star review had it not been for the really bad smell in our bathroom that we reported on arrival but remained the same throughout our stay.
I have to say that this is quite possibly the loveliest hotel we have ever stayed in over all. The staff was outstanding. I wish I could tell you their names. We call them "Mr & Mrs Incredible Breakfast", "Lovely Young Lady who checked us on

Exceptional! Hotel Van Cleef is pure magic. The divine hotel itself, the amazing staff, the location. Everything was perfect. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bruges is a magnificent town, and this hotel is the perfect place to stay there.

Fantastic Find!! This place was an incredible find! The whole family made us feel right at home and took every opportunity to ensure we had a fabulous stay. From the welcome glass of champagne to the delicious breakfast, everything at this hotel was extraordinary!
What an amazing hotel experience! From check in to departure, we felt completely looked after. The service was generous and the attention they gave to ensuring guests have an excellent stay is bar none. I would head back to this hotel in a heart beat. Thank you Frederick and Ben for the hospitality.

Stayed here for two nights at the end of October, one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Spotless clean, excellent service and great amenities. Location was perfect for us.
Apartment was very comfortable and clean and a decent size for two of us sharing. It was nice to have a table inside to sit at. The only very small thing, was there didn't seem to be a working air vent in the bathroom so it got quite steamy, but we just kept the door open after a shower.
Liked everything in this hotel. From the reception which was a very friendly and helpful lady (think she's the owner) to the location and accommodation. Room was perfectly clean and comfortable. Super recommend!
I loved the hotel's spacious courtyard; it truly gave off a vacation vibe. I'd seen previous negative reviews mentioning the reception staff's indifference, and I certainly experienced it firsthand. During check-in, the manager practically sprinted ahead, leaving us to struggle with our heavy luggage on the cobblestone path – what an 'interesting' display of hotel service! We stayed for four nights...
A tranquil heaven in a vibrant city. You are only a stones throw from the bustling center of Bruges. The garden offers a tranquil spot. Beds were comfortable and all the amenities you need. We stayed in a garden room looking directly out on the garden.

Superb! Althea took excellent care of us at check in, staff was very helpful, friendly and so hard working. Delicious breakfast in cozy dining room. Great location too. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Our room was very dirty. A lot of dust and spiderwebs but also stains on the bedding and radiotor. Our room was next to the laundry-room making it very humid and loud during the time the dryer was on. Check-in was very slow. The location is good and breakfast was fine. The cleanliness was really under par for a four star hotel. Would not recommend staying here.

Great hotel. Very small, somewhat dated room. The signs of wear and tear are a bit too obvious, in my opinion. It was lovely during the Christmas holidays. We received excellent service at the reception. Very friendly!! Bruges makes up for everything!! What a beautiful city. Wintergloed was also very beautiful.
The hotel's location was excellent; I'd say it offered great value for money. It was a 7-minute walk from the train station and a 10-minute walk from the main squares. What I didn't like about the hotel was that there was a smell similar to a toilet immediately after getting into the elevator. Fantastic location for our vacation in Bruges. Hotel owners were very courteous and helpful with everything. We’ll be back.
We had a very good stay here and Stephen is a great host. The location is ideal with a short walk to the centre but far enough away to be quiet at night. The car park is about 6 min walk away. The rooms are very tired and they are doing a refit early next year which will do it wonders. Would visit again!

Such a charming hotel! The room was immaculate, with a super comfortable bed and pillows. The free breakfast was yummy with lots of options. The staff was incredibly friendly. I would recommend this establishment to anyone traveling to Bruges, and would love go back.
Very thin walls, otherwise ok Basic nice hotel with the nice view and location. Walls are very thin though. You can hear everything, including the alarm of your room neighbor which they did not turn off fand it was ringing for many minuts and waking us up too. Also we could hear them having sex at 4.00 am.. Don't expect much from the breakfast- it does not have fresh fruits, mostly bread and cheese
Great location and the comfiest of beds! Our room was basic, no tea/coffee or fridge etc but that was fine for us, there was water though. Like others have said, there are areas that are in need of some tidying up but none of it would affect your stay.
