I stayed 3 days at More Ipanema Hostel and had a great experience. The place is clean, organized, and has a really good vibe, perfect for both relaxing and meeting people. I’d like to highlight Gustavo’s service, he was very attentive, polite, and always willing to help with anything I needed. It really made a difference in my stay. I also really enjoyed the parties at Ipanema Beach Hostel, great atmosphere and fun people! The location is excellent, close to everything in Ipanema. I would definitely come back!

Great if you are a solo traveller. The stuff is amazing and there are full of free activities to enjoy. Definitely recommend Dalia was amazing!!

All the staff at this hostel are simply amazing, every single one of them. They’re so kind, caring, loving, and fun and it truly made my whole solo travel experience so much better. The manager Meli , I honestly don’t even have words to describe how much she helped me. Also Nana that was with me at the hospital for almost 6 hours because of my injury, giving up her personal time to support me, help me emotionally, and translate. This was truly the best choice I made. Thank you so much It definitely felt like a family I will definitely come back soon ️️️

Great atmosphere, staff, and location. Overall a very fun place to stay for weekdays or weekends, even as a solo traveler. Some of the other guests tracked a significant amount of sand into the room, but Flavia quickly removed it so it wouldn’t get into our belongings. Definitely a place to return to!

I stayed here from February 12–20 and had a really lovely experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately made me feel comfortable. I especially appreciated the excursions and activities offered for guests — it was such a great way to meet people and connect with others. The overall vibe was relaxed, and everyone was very respectful. The location is fantastic, just a short 3-minute walk to the beach, which was a huge plus. I also liked that housekeeping came by daily to refresh the space, something I really valued while staying in a shared room. The rooms have AC, and fresh linens are provided for your stay, with the option to request new ones if needed. Towels are available for a small fee (R10). There’s also filtered water available, which was both convenient and budget-friendly. Overall, the atmosphere was wonderful — comfortable, social, and relaxing. I would happily stay here again.

Great hostel with a lot of social activities - through out the whole week. You have option of shared and individual rooms. You can easily upgrade to individual room if you need to.

This bar is a great way to quickly feel at home for people of English speaking cultures! The menu is in English, the TV's have on American sports and the music is also in English. I had a great time here with friends! The only downside was when the live band started to play it was very loud and making it hard to have conversations with anyone.
