Very good.
Simple but efficient. Very quiet, good shower, bed ok. Old and charming furniture, they should improve the bedding. Very attentive and helpful staff.

Hotel Castelar was a good experience for me. Hotel location is central in the city and you can approach most of the places easily. Hotel stuff were friendly and helpful all the time. I had a good breakfast there as well. Interior architecture is very good in this hotel. Wooden table, wooden bed frame and lamination and also a beatufily wooden chair helped me feel I was in a superb hotel. The console to manage lights and calls also looked very unique and made me feel good about environment. I recommend this place to anybody want to have good experience for their stay.

The hotel's facilities and service were good. However, what made it a little fearful were the recommendations from drivers that the surrounding area was becoming dangerous, due to the dismantling of Cracolândia, causing them to migrate to other locations. In addition to this, it seems to me that almost the entire area around Avenida Paulista has problems with homeless people. However, I believe that the local government should be taking measures to contain this social and criminal issue that affects the city's economy and health. The hotel is good.

The staff were helpful and there's a staff guarding the door all the time. I arrived at 6am and they allowed me into my room at that hour, which was a really nice thing that I really appreciated about the hotel. Wifi works perfectly. Not a single problem with my room. Breakfast was alright but there are other really cheap options around the corner. They stored my bags after checkout until the evening and overall very professional staff. The building is a bit old and I know they are in the process of renovating a few rooms to update the amenities. And for the price, it does its job and I even had a conference call in my room, so no complaints.
