The Cliff Beach & Spa Resort in Obzor

For starter, the price per night is too high compared to the quality of what you get. The rooms desperately need cleanup and some renovation because they are not well maintained. The walls were dirty and the curtains ripped, the bathroom wasn't well cleaned. The breakfast was good but not something exceptional for the money you pay. The staff was very passive and at times even grumpy. On the top of that, we recommend to take with you shower gel and shampoo because they never recharge the ones in the bathroom. Also the hotel restaurant doesn't work for lunch and the only option is to order a sandwich. During our stay in the beginning of September the hotel was empty, the beach bar and drink lounge were closed, so a lot of the commodities that they suppose to offer were not available. To reach "the beach at first line" is quite extreme adventure, because you need to walk trough unstable pathway with lots of stairs which are dangerous and not safe. We don't recommend to take the risk, especially with little kids and even if you reach it its not safe guarded. No lounge chairs or lifeguards.

The hotel will put you out of the way, rooms fine, clean. Food served as a menu - small portions, long waiting time. Wooden stairs of death lead to the beach, it's scary to walk on them because they are rotten. The service at the reception leaves much to be desired. I wanted to rest but couldn't as there was a wedding at the hotel which disturbed my peace. For the money this hotel did not meet my expectations. I highly do not recommend this hotel!

We wanted to organize our wedding there and we had an offer for one night stay and event in August 2022. The hotel manager changed four times the conditions in a period of three months, even though we stick with the same date. They were so unethical that during our last call on which he told me “we can not rent stay for less that three nights during August”, that two hours later in the mail communication the conditions have changed again, this time “we can not stay for less than four nights, during August”. And what was more hilarious the food was going to be two times more expensive because the wedding is in August, even though the fist offer was for the same date. I can not even imagine what was going to happen if we have continued our communication.

Although it is announced that the hotel is first line on the beach you have to go down by wooden stairs 10 minutes! Not first line for me. It is also announced that it's 15-20 minutes to the town centre - it's 40 minutes and you have to go through the sand until you reach the beach alley, at least you don't have to swim in the sea to reach the town. The hotel manager suggested to walk more QUICKLY. He is soooo polite with hotel guests. I cannot be sure if he is the hotel manager, as such unprofessional behaviour l've never seen - arguing and offending hotel guests. Probably is owner or co-owner because he was interested only in the money. He told me that the first thing that I have to learn for this hotel is to "pay immediately" for a service. To receive the service is obviously up to him. I wanted towels for the swimming pool and it was hard to get them.
The advertised " very good breakfast" in booking is so miserable, poor that is everything rather even "good breakfast". Most of the staff is rude, exception - the guy on the pool bar.
I would never book this hotel if I knew the reality.
But the nature around the hotel is nice and the apartment is spacious with nice view (additional cost).
Still to come how they'll treat us.

Update: After sharing my experience online I received a call from a lady who introduced herself as a manager. She apologized and agreed to refund me 50% of the amount which was charged from my card. I appreciate her call and eager to help and offer a resolution, but still I am more than disappointed from the rest of the staff and their arrogant attitude.
I would never recommend this hotel to a friend.

Avoid at all cost!
1. We didnt have hot water in the room and when informed the staff they offered us the room next to ours. The other room did not have hot water as well. We decided to leave the hotel since we were not okay with that. We informed the receptionist that we refuse to pay for the room and he said "okay". Then another lady came without an uniform and also was okay when we stated again that we will leave and pay just for the food which we ate. (That lady was the hotel manager but she didnt introduce herself as a manager, she didnt actually ask us what was the problem and why we are leaving).On the next day I realized that they charged my card even though I refused to pay and they were "okay". When called to complain a really rude guy from their reservations department said that people only said "it's okay to leave" just because they didn't want us to complain more and to make a scandal and they didnt want to call the police (if we know, we would have been actually fine with that). The guy also claimed that since we didnt inform them about that when we checked in it is not their fault... I dont think that it's necessary to check the water temperature immediately after the check in...
This is absolutely unacceptable way to deal with complaining clients. They didnt even send me the receipt for the transaction...I found out that my card was charged from my online banking!!!

2. Initially, we were told that the room service is working, but when we called to order food no one answered. After calling the reception and they checked it turned out that room service is not actually available. At the end we had to bring the food we ordered to the room by ourselves. Why do you say that you offer room service when you dont?

3. SPA center working hours were different than the announced in one of their brochures.

I would strongly recommend you to find another hotel where staff treat their clients better!!

IT'S A TRAP! The location is great. However, the rooms are dirty, the staff is absolutely ridiculous, the food from the menu is delicious, but the serving is a DISASTER. Would never visit again! Do not waste your money! It is very expensive for what it is.
