If you have starters and manicourse on your menu. The maincourse CAN NOT come to the table when you’re still eating the starter. We sent it back and the second I took my last bite of the starter. The maincourse came in. The same plate that I sent back. So the sides was a bit cold.
The starter and the maincourse was better that many places we’ve been to. But please have a break between starters and maincourse.
The red wine was a bit too hot. So we asked for a icebucket to chill it a bit. This was no problem and we are very happy about this.
The started we took. Shrimps with butter and garlic, Together with the garlic ciabatta was AMAZING.
The experience from when we booked the table the day before, until we got the maincourse was actually fantastic. As I said. The atmosphere in the outside garden and the interior is fantastic! Unfortunately the service and the way the food came in while eating starters, made it worse.
My tip is to come here. But order starters first, and wait with ordering the maincourse.
Don’t be afraid of asking to cool your wine.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted — or rather not greeted — by a gloomy waitress who didn't bother to say hello. I asked if we could take a seat. "Yes," she replied, without much enthusiasm. I followed up with, "Where can we sit?" She vaguely pointed to a messy table right by the entrance, still covered in dishes from previous guests — a table she was in the middle of cleaning. A charming welcome, really.
We chose a different table ourselves. The “non-smoking” section was so filled with smoke it might as well have been the smoking section. Overhead, flickering ceiling lights gave off a strong haunted-house vibe. They were blinking so erratically that I got a headache. We asked if they could be turned off, and thankfully, that helped a little.
We ordered. The white wine arrived warm. The hot main dish came before the appetizers — first my wife’s, then 10 minutes later her appetizer, then 10 minutes after that my main. The duck was actually tasty, but the burger was disappointing, and the baked camembert was still cold in the middle.
While we were eating, the waitress brought out an enormous trash bin from the kitchen and emptied it right next to our table. That was the final touch.
