Opal in Sunny Beach

My family and I recently spent two days at the Opal Hotel in Sunny Beach. Overall, it was a decent stay, and I would rate it 4 stars, but with a few significant caveats for anyone traveling with small children.

The best part of our experience was undoubtedly the staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, which we really appreciated.

Our room was also quite satisfactory—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained for the duration of our stay.

However, the location wasn't ideal for our needs. It wasn't particularly convenient for exploring with two small children, and we found ourselves having to walk a bit more than we would have liked to get to the main attractions.

My biggest disappointment, however, was the food. As a family with young kids, we are very conscious of healthy eating. Unfortunately, the food at the hotel's restaurant consisted primarily of processed items, with very few fresh or healthy options. This was a major drawback for us and made meal times a bit of a challenge.

Additionally, the hotel didn't seem to have many facilities or activities geared towards children, which made it less suitable for a family vacation.

In summary, the Opal Hotel is an okay option for a short stay, especially if you value friendly staff and a clean room. However, if you are traveling with small children and are looking for healthy food choices and kid-friendly amenities, this might not be the best fit for you.

We had a great stay here. The receptionists were very kind and knew english very well. The rooms were very clean when we arrived.
We had 5 rooms reserved and the only problems in some were things like the hair dryer not working, the tv remote not having batteries or the shower head detaching from water pressure. All were resolved quickly with the help of the staff and weren't a problem.
We had the breakfast only option, the food was very tasty and you had were to choose from.
The pool is clean and the sun beds also.

The hotel is not very new or luxurious, but the rooms are very clean and well-maintained, the pool is large enough, the bathrooms and toilets are clean, towels are changed daily, the breakfast variety is sufficient. It is about 7-8 minutes walking distance to the city center and the beach. The air conditioning was working great. There is no music at the poolside bar, it would be better if it played soft music and was a little more active. Finally, it would be great if there was a coffee machine or a kettle in the rooms to have coffee in the evenings or an option to drink something :)

It is a standard 3-star hotel with many facilities but non-functional right in the middle of the season. The staff is kind, some only speak Bulgarian and it's harder to understand each other. It is clean, the towels are changed about every 2 days, the beds are made every day. The furniture and installations started to deteriorate in some places. The breakfast was unsatisfying but perfectly identical every day. There is parking and two not very large outdoor swimming pools. It is located quite far from the beach, about 1 km, and the access is through narrow and very crowded streets.

Everything was excellent, the stuff ,the breakfast, the room , is a really clean place and also quiet . We really want to come back . Keep going like this !
