White Beach Bungalows in Koh Rong Island

This hotel is fantastic. It seems to be relatively new, and everything is immaculately clean. The location is fantastic, it’s right on the beach and there are plenty of lounges etc available for guests along with a little beach bar. The beach is also cleaned every morning so it’s quite pristine. The food here is REALLY excellent and reasonably priced. The rooms are large, beds are comfy and we loved the little balcony to sit on at night. The staff are also lovely and very helpful. Location is great - easy walking distance to plenty of restaurants and beach bars. We’d definitely stay here again!
Only downside - There seems to be parties most nights down the other side of the beach and you can hear the doof doof music late into the night - this resort is the furthest away from them at longset beach so not this hotels fault at all, but something to be aware of if you want an early night and need silence to sleep.

Solid 4/5. Brand new bungalows — spacious, nicely designed, and very homely. The service is okay, but it felt a bit odd to see the same person cleaning the garden and then serving food.

We did have some stomach issues and really appreciated the support we received from the cleaning staff.

The beach facilities aren’t great, so we preferred to move to a different part of the island for the beach. However, we would stay here again. The place is still developing.

A great place to stay on the quiet end of Long Set Beach.

The rooms are newly renovated and have ocean views over the lake. Nice balcony to sit on. The bathroom was lovely but the shower water drained very slowly.

White Beach does not have a pool, which was unfortunate. However the beach was right there, so it's easy to swim in the calm waters.

There is a beach bar as part of the resort, which played chilled music. This section of the footpath is not blocked off to scooters, so wasn't as quiet as you would have liked.

We weren't offered the service of having our bags transported to the pier, like other places offer. Our rate didn't include breakfast.

A good stay.

Great location at the quiet end of the beach.
From Google, it doesn't look like there is access from the beach but there is via a couple of bridges.
Bungalows are new (opened Sept 25) and very nicely fitted out. Excellent views.
Beach is kept clean and has plenty of hammocks and places to sit and a bar.
Didn't eat at tge restaurant as Barracuda was next door.
Only downside is that we weren't offered bag collection on arrival or drop off to the pier on departure.

What can we say?

My wife and I absolutely adored our stay. So much so that we extended and very heavily considered forgoing future travel plans to stay an additional week.

Matteo was a significant contributor to our experience bringing his charm, warmth and personal touch (nothing was too hard).

The room is brand new, clean and peaceful with the shortest of strolls to what feels like a private beach. All the local food we tried was excellent quality.

We will absolutely be back and certainly be staying longer. A sincere thank you Matteo and to your team, we will cherish this experience.

Each bungalow is on stilts and has a little balcony with a hammock and a couple of chairs. The double room I was in had just the bed, a chair and a set of shelves to put items on. The bed had a mosquito net and I also paid for air-con. There was an adjoining bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. A couple of soaps and shampoo sachets were provided which helped me out as I forgot to take mine. The place has a very rustic feel, and is not the best display of craftsmanship. But remembering this is on a desert island I can be forgiving of that. I started two nights and I had to ask to have my sheets changed, but this was then done promptly. The biggest issue I had was getting the temp in the room right overnight, the first night was a constant battle between too hot and too cold. I found turning the ceiling fan completely off remedied the problem.
Overall I would definitely recommend it, it's a great location, just a short walk to the shops and bars, but far enough away that you're not disturbed by it later in the evening! And the little bar/reception they have is very convenient for an afternoon drink.

We had an amazing stay in these bungalows. Right at the beach with great service and clean well maintained bungalows. Your bungalow will be visited by monkeys too!! Would recommend anyway!
