Four Points by Sheraton Calgary Airport in Calgary

The first time I stayed here, it felt okay. Even though the facilities were old, it was generally acceptable. The second time, I lifted the duvet and clearly saw that the sheets hadn't been changed. Upon inspection, there were a lot of hairs. I requested a change of sheets, and it took a full half hour for them to bring new ones. Even then, the new sheets also had a lot of hairs in them, and I ended up changing them myself. How can a hotel like this, with such poor hygiene, be listed on Trip.com and ensure the health of its guests?

I wrote an email at the day I arrived to ask for the schedule of the airport shuttle. Didn’t got any reply. So I used the free phone call from Calgary airport. They ask me to wait for the driver in hotel shuttle 16. Then, after a long wait, I have to call them again. This time, they ask me to wait in hotel shuttle 37. But when I got there, the bus driver was already leave. They said the driver spent too much time on waiting 🙄 Do you know how long the distance it is to walk from shuttle 16 to 37? Not to mention I spent almost 2 hours to wait for the shuttle driver. Why didn’t you just give me the right pick up spot at the first time then I don’t need to walk back and through several times?!
Then, I ordered a shuttle to the airport on the next day. The front desk ask me to attend at 11:40. But on the date I left, the other front desk said the driver would come at 12:00. But my airplane leave at 14:00!!! They didn’t even show up on time!!! I do have to ask the front desk several times that they can finally find a shuttle driver for me. I can’t barely attend the deadline of checkin time. Seriously, if you don’t have enough employees for the airport shuttle, you should cancel the service.

The breakfast is à la carte, the hash browns were hard, and the bacon was low quality. The shuttle runs once an hour which isn't frequent enough; there were too many guests at 9 am and we couldn't all fit.

The facilities are a bit old, but it's very convenient for the airport, only about a fifteen-minute drive. There's a little noise though. Overall, it's decent value for money. The front desk was quite strict; they wouldn't allow check-in before 3:00 PM, though you could pay an extra 15 CAD for early check-in. The housekeeping staff were excellent! Parking is free.

The environment is very clean. There's a McDonald's right next door, which is great for breakfast or lunch. The cleanliness, service, and staff attitude were all very friendly. Plus, there's a free shuttle bus to the airport, which takes about 20 minutes. It's amazing that it's free!

I booked this hotel for my trip to Banff! It took a little under 2.5 hours to drive to Lake Louise, leaving at 5 AM. Since I rented a car, I was very satisfied with the accommodation. However, I don't think it would feel close to the airport without a rental car. It was great that I could walk to McDonald's and Tim Hortons, and there was also a swimming pool!

The room was clean and comfortable. The airport transfer was also very convenient and helpful; they picked me up right away after I contacted them.

On the other hand, it was a bit disappointing that I had trouble sleeping due to footsteps echoing from the room above until around 1 AM. I understand that this can depend on the other guests, but I felt that if the soundproofing could be improved a bit more, the stay would be even more comfortable.

The hotel is about 10 kilometers from the airport and has a large, free parking lot. There are supermarkets and fast-food restaurants nearby, making dining convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and tidy. The front desk staff are friendly and address guest feedback promptly. Breakfast is simple but the food quality is good.

The location is great! They offer private airport transfers and it's a popular base for tour groups, which is super convenient as you don't have to constantly move around. There are also supermarkets nearby for easy shopping. For those planning a self-drive trip, it's not far from Highway 1, so everything is just perfect. My only slight disappointment was the lack of a hot water kettle in the room, which isn't ideal for us Asians who prefer hot drinks. Also, even though I only stayed one night, I was bothered by two Western girls. First, they were laughing loudly outside my door, then they knocked and ran away, only for me to open the door and see them laughing elsewhere with a phone propped up on the floor filming my doorway. Maybe it was some kind of YouTube prank! Anyway, I felt disturbed by them! I didn't feel comfortable filming them, but I hope the hotel takes this seriously.
