Good service and delicious food. Had a lot of breakfasts here for two weeks and all really good

been here many of times Good food Friendly staff , sometimes quite but after reading some of the responces and talking with the owners gee some of the things they have to put up with. Firstly while asking about some of the reviews , I figured there had to be 2 sides to every story .
the Owners said because they are a restaurant in a Hotel that they see and get evey type of customers , Buisiness girls that have many phones for business prurposes of course , wanting or needing to charge their phone , well this could be done in their room instead. also people that write complaints after the fact but never gave the restaurant a chance to correct a problem with their food , but instead vent on review sites . There are certain standards and policies that every business has and I suppose some guests just dont like the word I sorry but that is not possible . One Story the owners told me was of some guest that were haveing a gathering in their room for 20ppl . and orderd food form a competitor pizza place and already had thier beverages of choice , but procedded to the restaurant to ask for cutlery and plates and wine and bar ware and ice as well as lemons and limes ...... and the guest just assumed that the owners should give it to them for free as they were guests of the hotel .... When I heard this story I thought really !!!! but they say they get it all the time and when they say no I m sorry well this is how we read about some comments on these review sites ..... Very sad. Every time I have been there for business or pleasure I have enjoyed and will continue to do so .....

This place is amazing! Great food for small or large event with everything fresh and healthy and very very tasty. I would recommend them for all your catering needs in Barrie. You will be impressed with the quality of the food and service.

Fantastic experience! We visited today and both Kelsey and Jordan served us.
We had apps, salad and STKs and crab.The wine was delicious as was everything.
We have a yearly family outing and we choose the Barrie Keg as it’s our favourite!

Prime Rib all the way. Keep in mind that the Caesar salad is not being offered during the romaine crisis of 2017-2018. The horseradish was unbearably hot this time. The au jus with prime rib is incredible. Order medium at most. I usually do medium well, I'm not big on really red meat but anything more than medium is a waste of this delicious meat. Don't even think about anything except the prime rib (the meal one with a side). Twice baked potatoes are incredible.

Excellent experience here every time. Good cocktails, good wine, good steak, good service... Decent selection, price isn't obscene, but it is a steakhouse, so don't expect a cheap dinner. You should expect to enjoy your meal though. I'm only not rating five stars because I'm hard to get a perfect score out of, this really is a great restaurant.

All aspects of dining at The Keg are wonderful. Even if you're not in to steak, there are delicious salads, apps, and chicken dishes. The atmosphere is fine and the lighting is very dim. The dining room features pot lights that cast harsh shadows, so it isn't perfectly romantic, but the garlic mashed potatoes make up for the lighting. The service is always great - perfectly timed and just enough. The wine menu features a fantastic selection, even by the glass. I would recommend The Keg for mature birthdays and business celebrations. There are not many options for vegetarians.

Service is always wonderful. The restaurant is sort of dark, dimly lit, and romantic in decor, but is usually packed and pretty loud. Expensive, but the food is great. I've never had a disappointing meal here, and love the bacon and blue cheese filet. Great selection of appetizers and desserts too. Wish there were more gluten-free options.
