We had a great stay. Rooms were spacious and clean. The management was very friendly, and a great location. Many things within walking distance in each direction!

Clean room, efficient checkin, older quaint room but well cared for.
Walking distance to some of Montréals best shops, Mount Royal, and of course Schwartzs deli. Thinner older doors let sound travel so keep that in mind as i saw complaints in other reviews. All in all it was my little home away from home for 2 days and i liked it

No heat other than a space heater in the room. Lobby was a mess. It was being painted, which could be understandable but there was no signage, warning or any measure at all. Worth spending a little more to find a better spot if you can.

Getting into the hotel, I felt like I was deceived by ******* listing this as a hotel. It's just like a mere bread and breakfast (even though no breakfast was provided) type of accommodation. The condition of the room was terrible, and the elevator was very scary - each stop felt like a sudden drop from a height. A terrible smell was coming from the washroom when we arrived in the room. A lot was wrong with this place.

The entrance/hallways are not indicative of the rooms themselves (old and rundown) but the room itself was clean and updated it was an old rooming house I believe . Great air conditioning and decent space. Asked for and received a mini fridge and kettle. No room service or cleaning between nights unless you pay extra. Overall the location was perfect. Walking distance to many restaurants and the metro. Would stay again as price and location (and cleanliness) was sufficient.

The a/c wasn’t strong enough. But the room was tidy and clean. The rooms don’t get replenished/cleaned daily.

We didn’t even check in. That’s how bad it was once we walked inside the doors. We even got a bad vibe from outside. Nothing like the pictures. Terrible do not recommend

When we asked for a refund/solution we were given none except for « new pillows »… I tried to explain that we just lost trust in this hotel and that it would not change anything but we were then told to « go write a review » and left hanging. We had to leave, finding us in the middle of montreal with nowhere to go at 9pm.
Save yourself time, energy and frustration and avoid that place.

This is a very proper bar.
They are brewing their own beer - it's good. Really good complicated subtle and not obsessed with comedy names or excessive strength.
There is a really nice sound system - balanced so you can talk but also so it's hi-fi if you listen and nice music.
Steel bar 50's neon clock charming staff. Go.

Delicious selection of craft beers. Food options are somewhat lacking, but the service makes up for it.

Sat there for nearly twenty minutes without someone even looking at me. When I was visibly outraged they finally served me and offered in a rude tone to pay for the beer which I refused. The bartender than came over and tried to intimidate me. The selection of beer is very unimpressive, lots of "session" beers (Read watery trash). Staff are generally impolite and unprofessional and sloppy looking. Plenty of better brewpubs to spend your hard earned money in. Avoid.
