Paco Hotel Jiangtai Lu Metro Guangzhou in Guangzhou

This was my first time visiting china for the canton fair and i was lost not knowing the language. My flight landed at 6am early morning and my check in was at 2pm so i thought i would leave my luggage at the hotel and go sightseeing or shopping, so i took a taxi from the airport to the hotel but when we reached the hotel the taxi driver told me to pay 860 RMB($120). I thought this price was very high but because i did not know the language I had no way of discussing it with driver because he did not know english. So i went to the hotel and explained my situation to kakie(hotel staff) who later i got to know was like an intern for the canton fair. She and some other staff from the hotel helped me talk with the taxi driver as it was usually only 150 RMB(21$) from the airport to the hotel. After what seemed like an hour of them disscusing it with driver he finally agreed to go as low as RMB 370 ($51) which we agreed to as we were tired and didn't want to waste more time. We could have made an official complaint to the authorities but that would mean wasting more time so we didn't opt for that. After all this they let us check in early and we finally reached our room which felt like heaven after a late night flight and taxi trouble. The hotel was clean, the Rooms were good and even though all the staff in the hotel did not know english we were added to a wechat group where we could ask anything and most of the time someone who knew english was available at the lobby. The staff were friendly specially kakie, the breakfast was very good, the rooms were clean, they helped us with booking cabs, a map of the metro, tickets to sightseeing places like the canton tower and the pearl river cruise and also accepting our package deliveries. This is all we were looking for from a good hotel and we stayed there for around 9 days total.

Nice hotel, though the Wi-Fi is very slow. Location is perfect with lots of shopping malls, restaurants and massage salons around. Right beside the Jiangtai Road metro station of Line 2, so you can directly reach Guangzhou South railway station without changing lines. Breakfast is good too with selection of European and Chinese dishes. The hotel is definitely worth its money.

Excellent service, the hotel is very well-equipped with everything you need. It has free personal laundry facilities (you wash and dry your clothes), water in the room every day, breakfast included, and free round-trip transportation to the Canton Fair!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Super important! Plus, they gave you a free lunch box. They also have free package reception. Realistically, it's very good service in relation to the price of the room. 🫶🏻 10⭐️ 🫶🏻
Aside from the fact that it shares an entrance with another business.

An ideal hotel for anyone who wants to explore the city from a central location. Plenty of dining options are just around the corner, and metro line 2 is just 100 meters away.

Comfortable bed, good shower, and breakfast were okay. The only downside was that there was no refrigerator in the room to keep your water cold.

June 13-17 (4 nights)... It rained heavily for all 5 days. The lobby is located at one end of the building. Cold water and hot tea were provided... I asked if they had coffee, and they immediately got it out from the office and served it. I took Line 3 from Baiyun Airport at 12:20 for 8 yuan (one machine accepts Alipay, 5 and 10 yuan bills, and 1 yuan coins), transferred to Line 2 at Jihuawanggang, got off at Jiangtailu, and arrived at the hotel at 1:30. Sharing the elevator with the restaurant was neither inconvenient, nor unpleasant, nor dangerous(?), and I didn't really mind it for the entire 5 days. It wasn't outstanding, but I judged it to be sufficient. It is a private bathroom without a bidet. It would be nice if there were a shelf in the shower room for razors or toothbrushes. The hot water pressure was sufficient. There was nothing lacking in the various amenities provided. It was very nice that 10 bottles of water were always stocked on the tables in front of the elevators on each floor. The curtains are double-layered, consisting of blackout and mesh curtains, with both automatic and button controls. The table chairs were too high and uncomfortable; the egg chairs weren't strictly necessary, but a small dining table with two chairs in their place would have been extremely useful. Humidity was unavoidable due to the rainy season. The sink drain plug closed while in use, making it a bit inconvenient to use the sink with the water running. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic... Please take a good look at the photos below and evaluate this hotel... The egg tarts are by no means inferior to those in Lisbon; in fact, they are even tastier... The boiled eggs were cooked for too long, so the shells were difficult to peel... On my next visit to Guangzhou, I will choose this hotel without hesitation... The restaurant across from Yanhui Plaza that I added is cheaper than the famous pho place in Saigon, has larger portions, tastes great, and has no unpleasant smell... I visited it twice during my 5-day stay, and it was a shame I couldn't visit more due to lack of time.

Excellent service, extremely helpful, my only gripe is that if you want international guests please install either an international news channel or change your tv service provider, apart from that I'd like to award 9.99/10 😀

All good except there was no chiller bar .

Not the best but not the worst. Value for money but wouldnt stay again.
