Yihe Hotel in Guangzhou

The environment is terrible, and the air conditioner isn't even cooling!

We arrived late with our child for a competition, and initially thought we'd gone to the wrong place. The hotel was completely different from the pictures. There was no outdoor swimming pool, just dark streetlights and an older woman in the lobby. After checking in, we carried our luggage up the dimly lit stairs for ages trying to find our room 🙀. Finally, a staff member led us up! (The photos were taken during the day; I didn't take any at night because I was in a rush to find the room, but it was quite scary at night.)

Upon entering the room, we saw several dead flying insects on the floor, which terrified my daughter so much she wouldn't go inside! 😱 The toilet was broken, constantly flushing, and the shower and bathtub faucets were also broken, leaking from both sides when turned on! The refrigerator in the room was very noisy, and to make matters worse, there was a mirror next to the bed. The whole environment was so scary that my daughter and I were too afraid to sleep. Because it was so late, we had to switch hotels and risk missing the competition the next day, so we just left the lobby lights on and forced ourselves to rest. The air conditioner was also very old; the overall facilities were outdated!

Hygiene: There were many flying insects and mosquitoes on the floor, and the sink was covered in sticky water stains 😖

Service: There was only one staff member at the front desk, and the phone in the room was broken and couldn't make calls! I had to find the merchant's number on the platform to call them! Luckily, a staff member came up! Otherwise, it would have been really frustrating 😭😭

Overall, I would never stay here again 😅

It was under renovation and there was nothing in the room, not even hot water! That’s too bad!
