Sun Moon Lake Hotel in Dalian

Traveling to Dalian, I specifically looked for hotels around the train station and finally chose this one. My stay completely exceeded expectations and offered great value for money! I'm extremely satisfied!

Although the hotel building is a bit old, the interior is very well-maintained. The room was neat and clean, with absolutely no musty smell typical of older rooms. The air inside was fresh and well-ventilated, and the furniture looked high-quality, all solid wood, making for a very comfortable stay.

The front desk service was also exceptionally thoughtful. The lady proactively offered a free room upgrade and even kindly provided complimentary breakfast. Service was top-notch, truly heartwarming!

The biggest bonus was that all the toiletries were individually sealed and sterilized, clearly clean and hygienic, showing great attention to detail, which made for a particularly reassuring stay.

The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around and sightseeing. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great value for money. I'll definitely prioritize choosing this hotel again next time I visit Dalian!

The room was spotless and well-equipped with high-end amenities. The staff were very welcoming, and the hotel even thoughtfully provided bread and milk for guests who didn't have time for breakfast.

Very close to Dalian Station, about a 10-minute walk. The room's cleanliness was satisfactory, though the windows were a bit dirty. The area around the hotel is very quiet. Breakfast offered a great variety, and overall, I was satisfied.

Once again, for a short transit stay in Dalian, I chose Sun Moon Lake Hotel. It is not only because of its very convenient location near Dalian Railway Station, but more importantly because of the consistently excellent service that I have experienced here with my family over time.

I am truly impressed that the hotel has maintained its high standard of service. Everything still reflects a genuine 5-star level experience.

I would like to give special thanks to Ms. 徐堃意 from the night shift. She handled my check-in with sincere hospitality and kindly upgraded my short stay to a king-size room/suite with breakfast included. Her professionalism and warmth made a great difference to my stay.

The breakfast was excellent as well. I would gladly give 5 stars to the food, the service, and the restaurant staff.

Although the hotel is officially rated as a 4-star property, the level of service easily matches or even exceeds many 5-star hotels. At the same time, the pricing is very reasonable, even comparable to some 3-star hotels, which makes it an exceptional value.

It is also worth noting that airlines such as China Eastern Airlines and Spring Airlines choose this hotel for their cabin crew, which clearly reflects industry recognition and trust in the hotel and its team.

Personally, I would definitely choose this hotel again over others, even those located near the airport.

This additional day at Sun Moon Lake Hotel, Dalian turned out to be deeply meaningful for me and my family.

The hotel’s location is extremely convenient, very close to Dalian Railway Station. At noon, I went to the station to purchase train tickets and, as I walked out, I was struck by a familiar view—the exact same scene I remembered from decades ago, when I first came here as a three-year-old child with my father, who was at a nearby university. Even after all these years, the memory of that trip and the name of the place remained vivid. We had our meals at a nearby shopping mall, which was also very convenient thanks to the hotel’s central location.

I would also like to sincerely thank the reception team, who kindly helped us with transportation arrangements and luggage on their own initiative. Their support made everything—especially our short tour—smooth and stress-free, and gave us a strong sense of warmth and home, even though I had been away from Dalian for over 25 years.

I am not certain whether Sun Moon Lake Hotel is officially rated as a 3- or 4-star hotel today, but in my heart, it will always be a 5-star hotel.

The front desk manager, Xu Kunyi, was very warm and professional, providing excellent service. I also want to thank the other front desk staff for their enthusiastic service; they were very helpful during my business trip to Dalian, asking me many questions. They made me feel at home. A special thank you to the floor attendant on the 17th floor; the room was impeccably clean. They greeted me with a smile, a very friendly one. Thumbs up!!! I'll be traveling to Dalian again after the New Year and have decided to stay here again. The location is convenient; the subway, light rail, and the famous 201 bus line are all within a kilometer of the building. The breakfast is also delicious.

The hotel is clean, good service provide, the breasfast is not bad, and the room check out can extended to 2pm

The hotel's location in an alleyway made it a bit hard to find, and crossing the road was quite dangerous.

Facilities: The amenities and equipment felt outdated.

Cleanliness: Acceptable.

Environment: Both the 'sea view' and 'city view' rooms were pretty mediocre.

Service: You have to pick up your own food delivery, or pay for room service. Extra water bottles also cost money. The Wi-Fi was unstable, which is really inconvenient and unfriendly for young people! The front desk and room service staff were very warm and friendly, but the hardware facilities are definitely a bit behind the times.

The service was really nice, the hotel front desk gave us a free upgrade with hugeeee room! The breakfast was really delicious too with a lot of options, definitely recommended!
