Furama Hotel Dalian

The price was a bit high since we went during the May Day holiday. We stayed in the West building, which is newer than the East building, but the soundproofing wasn't great. The swimming pool is on the small side, good for kids though. Breakfast was very crowded, so we had to queue. We tried the Japanese restaurant on the fourth floor, and the food was delicious.

Hotel Furama is still a solid choice. Both the facilities and service are excellent. The location is super convenient, making it easy to get around. I'd definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

This is a pretty standard, older hotel. The East Wing is a bit older and cheaper than the West Wing. The rooms are spacious. It's about a 10-minute walk from Zhongshan Square. There's a Dalian seafood BBQ place nearby called 'He Diu Yi Zhi Xie' (Lost One Shoe) that I went to three times – I just couldn't help myself! 😂

One of the oldest 5* hotel in that area. The location is good with the metro station (ZhongShan) just 5min walk. There are also plenty eatery and convenience store within the 5min walk range (McDonald's, Lawson, Mixue etc). 2 metro stations away is the Qingniwa shopping area and the Dalian Train Station. The room is spacious, though the facilities are a bit dated. However, the service is excellent and the location is great.

Booked the East Building. The room had a retro vibe, but the TV was really old and didn't have many channels. However, the hotel's facilities were comprehensive. The gym was huge and well-equipped. Since it was during Chinese New Year, there was no one around, so we had the pool all to ourselves. They also had a sauna and bath facilities, which was a nice touch.

The hotel's location is excellent; there's a subway station right outside, and it's close to Zhongshan Square. It's also very convenient to take the subway or a taxi to other attractions. During holidays, breakfast can get a bit crowded, requiring a queue, but the variety and taste are great. The family suite is very good, convenient for multiple people, and offers good privacy.

The room was a bit dated. Service was just okay; the reception wasn't very welcoming, and the front desk staff seemed inexplicably rude. During check-in, they didn't clearly explain the room benefits, which was confusing. The breakfast plates were dirty and not properly cleaned. The concierge spoke in a stiff, unwelcoming tone. The family came to Dalian to visit and stayed in this hotel which was really nice. The taxi driver started to introduce us to swimming in Xiajiahe. Fortunately, the front desk told us that it was very far away, and recommended us the Shicao Beach, which is very close. The beach is very good and very close. The hotel room is also large and fully equipped, which is quite good.

The room is clean, tidy and bright. The service is also very warm. There is a swimming pool on the sixth floor of the hotel and a children's pool for children to play in, which is very good. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel itself has good food, but is a bit expensive. There is a restaurant across the road from the hotel, and the price/performance ratio is pretty good.

The room is clean, especially the cartoon floor mat, which is like new. The parent-child room has a slide and a tent, which is very suitable for babies. The waiter is enthusiastic and the experience is good. I will come again when I come to Dalian.

There was no air conditioning on May Day, the indoor temperature was nearly 30 degrees, and the temperature could not be lowered even if the windows were opened at night. I woke up many times due to the heat.

Comments are about authenticity. The hotel's facilities and decoration are indeed a bit old, and cannot be compared with many similar hotels.
