Friendly and helpful staff. Young and vibrant atmosphere 24 hour bar which is good considering most things **** early.

Cozy stay in a perfect location, with amazing vibe, special thanks to Jing Ze Li and all the staff for the truly outstanding service — 10/10.

Very clean hostel, cleaners were constantly in the bathrooms. very good location, rooms were slightly small as bags/suitcases didn’t fit in them and took up the floor space. plenty of food available nearby

I had the most wonderful stay at this hostel! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the staff — they were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. It truly felt like they cared about every guest’s experience, and that made all the difference.

The entire place was spotless. My room was clean, fresh, and cozy, and even the shared areas were maintained perfectly. You could tell they put a lot of thought and effort into keeping everything comfortable and hygienic.

What I loved most was the atmosphere. There was such a lovely and peaceful vibe throughout the hostel — charming details, cozy lighting, and a homey feeling that made me feel safe and cared for. It wasn’t just a place to sleep; it felt like a little haven in the middle of the city.

The location is great, very close to Shanghai Railway Station, with convenient transportation. There's also a convenience store downstairs, and there's a place to rest in the lobby as well as a bar, making it very relaxing. The service by niu jing is excellent.

I stayed at the Dajin Youth Hostel for 1 month during my language exchange in Shanghai. Normally, staying at a hostel for that long wouldn’t be possible for me—at some point, you just need a bit more comfort. That’s also why I didn’t pre-book everything in advance.
Nevertheless, I ended up staying a full month and never once felt like I was missing out on much luxury. The rooms and the bathroom were quite nice and cleaned several times a day. I also had normal roommates—no weirdos at all.
What made the stay really special was the people. Everyone I met there was super friendly. During my month-long stay, I never felt alone. Whenever I felt like socializing, I just went to the lobby, and within 5 minutes I’d be chatting with five new people.
If you ever need some quiet time, there’s a really nice working area on the third floor—perfect for getting things done or just having a bit of "me time."
The hostel’s infrastructure was also great. They have a clean, well-equipped gym (I mean its a free gym in a hostel), working zones on both the 3rd and 2th floors, a makeup room, a call room, and a free laundry room with plenty of space to hang your clothes. And of course, the lobby has a great bar with every kind of beer you can imagine.
The staff were amazing—young adults who are always ready to help and also just super chill to talk to. Big shoutout to Jing, Ze, Zhu, and Niu! Hope I’ll see you again when I come back.
