Pudong Shangri-La, Hotel, Shanghai1 / 30
9.3
Shanghai, No. 33 Fucheng Road, Pudong New Area (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Great! The Bund, Lujiazui, and the Huangpu River are right outside the window – what a superb view. The weather forecast said it would be below zero at night, but the entire building felt like summer with its excellent air conditioning, much better than many local hotels; a shirt was perfectly fine. The buffet restaurant downstairs was decent, and there were quite a few foreign chefs. In the room,...
Check-in was smooth and effortless. The hotel already had a festive Chinese New Year atmosphere. From here, you get an unobstructed view of the subway, shopping malls, art museums, and the beautiful scenery along both banks of the Huangpu River. Special thanks to the guest relations team: Lynn, Minnie, Vivian, Lucki, and Lily, for their excellent service and warm greetings. Also, a big thank you to...
Huge thanks for the free room upgrade! The breakfast buffet was okay, but there's definitely room for improvement. The bed was super comfy, and at 1.98m, it was big enough for one adult and two kids. The only downside was that there was no window. Overall, it was pretty good, and the service was excellent. The lady who brought the extra duvet was particularly polite.
The room was spotless, and being on a high floor, we had a beautiful view of the riverfront. The breakfast was incredibly fresh and delicious. The service was professional and attentive. I'll definitely choose Shangri-La again for my next trip.
I spent half a month looking for a hotel before coming to Shanghai and finally chose this one. I was really worried that the hotel's age might mean disappointing hygiene and facilities, but from the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was incredibly impressed with both the environment and the service. We stayed in the Zijin building, facing the Huangpu River, and the view was absolutely stunning. The...
The environment and service are impeccable, and the location is fantastic. For dining, IFC Mall and Super Brand Mall are right outside. In the evening, it was a short taxi ride to Mercedes-Benz Arena for a concert. The kids stayed at the hotel with my mom and could easily explore the Oriental Pearl Tower and滨江公园 (Riverside Park) nearby. Very nice!

Shanghai, No. 889 Yanggao South Road, Pudong New Area (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Upon check-in, I was warmly welcomed by a kind receptionist (from Shanghai) with fair skin and large eyes, who was very responsive to guest needs. I also went downstairs to inquire with other front desk staff during my stay, and they were all very nice. Although the guest rooms are a bit dated, they are generally clean, well-equipped, and the environment is quiet. My baby had a great time at the kids...
Choosing the Executive Room at the DoubleTree by Hilton Shanghai Jingjiang was absolutely the right decision for my business trip to Shanghai. The breakfast was perfectly to my taste, and the lobby offered thoughtful little snacks and hot tea. HEIDI's service, in particular, was incredibly warm and attentive. I had such a good experience that I ended up extending my stay for a few extra days.
Double Tree was very professional. They offered us parking space for our scooters and spoke really good English. Our room was clean and the water pressure was great. The AC was also working perfectly. One thing that was a bit of a bummer was that the plug in our bathtub was broken and could not let the water run out. It might be time to check on all the features of the bathrooms and fix or upgrade...
Facilities: Excellent Cleanliness: Spotless Environment: Very good Service: Incredibly warm and welcoming This hotel truly lives up to its five-star standard. We ended up having all three meals here every day! It was a perfect place to relax during our vacation, complete with a swimming pool and fitness center. My only slight regret is not being able to book a room with the 'three-piece suite' setup...
The hotel lobby is decorated very warmly, and the front desk staff (Heidi, Kitty, Ava) provided excellent service. The room decor was also very cozy, and my child loved it. Ms. Huang, who assisted us, was incredibly kind and made our stay truly heartwarming. I would definitely stay here again. I really appreciate their help when I spent a long time looking for my ID during my stay. It would be even...
A big thank you to Daria and Heidi at the front desk for their efficient check-in service. They were warm, thoughtful, and clearly explained the breakfast times. Their excellent service made my stay very pleasant!

Shanghai, No. 789 Nanjing East Road, Huangpu District (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location of the hotel is right next to Nanjing road which is easily accessible to everything you need. One of the staff, Dylan, was amazing! Dylan was very helpful once we arrived at the hotel with our luggages an helped making sure our check in was done smoothly. He even helped me to make lunch and dinner reservations at a few places, which was very kind and helpful despite the difficulty in...
The hotel staff were very attentive, friendly, proactive, and efficient. The rooms were clean and bright, and the hotel's basic facilities were well-equipped. There was also plenty of parking available. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. Special thanks to Ivy, Quain-G, and Echo.
The hotel is right next to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, making it super convenient for sightseeing. Its excellent location means there are plenty of malls and convenience stores nearby for shopping and exploring, and the Bund is also very close. The room was clean and tidy, and the overall environment was elegant. Shout out to Ivy, Quain-G, and Echo!
A truly excellent stay. First off, the hotel's location is fantastic, very close to Exit 5 of People's Square Station, and right by Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, which is bustling with people and vibrant. The room design is quite distinctive, with a lovely Chinese aesthetic. What I enjoyed most was the breakfast – I recommend going early! The buffet offers a huge variety, from Chinese to Western...
I chose the Conrad hotel because of its excellent location, which makes getting around by taxi incredibly convenient. It's also super practical if you're driving to Shanghai, as guests get free parking during their stay. IVY, Quain-G, Echo
This hotel has a wide variety of restaurants, including Western, buffet, Chinese, and afternoon tea options, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel's location is excellent, and Jeffrey at the front desk was very professional. Definitely worth staying here again.
The front desk service was incredibly attentive. Check-in was efficient and welcoming, and they proactively provided a super detailed introduction to all the facilities. The gym had a full range of equipment and was clean, making for a perfect workout experience.
The location is fantastic, super convenient for dining out and shopping. The room decor is quite new, and cleanliness is not an issue. The service was excellent; KOI at the front desk saw I was with elderly parents and upgraded us to a room with a better view, and even gave us complimentary welcome fruits. Among the many older hotels in Puxi, this one offers great value for money. Highly recommend
The front desk staff were warm and helpful during check-in and check-out, making for a pleasant experience. The room cards have a sleek design with a matte, non-slip backing that feels good to the touch. We were given two cards, which was convenient for separate entry and exit, and the power-saving card was already inserted in the room, so no extra steps were needed. Breakfast offered a wide variety...
A very satisfying stay. The lobby is grand and impressive. The front desk staff saw we had a child and kindly upgraded our room type. I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.
The hotel is ideally located near People's Square Metro Station, making it super convenient for shopping. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby like Lai Lai, Nanxiang, Shu Cai, Jia Jia, and Huchun... You can even get food delivered, saving you the hassle of travel and waiting in lines. The Xin Jin Jiang isn't exactly new anymore, but it's generally still good, especially considering the great value for money. The breakfast could use some improvement, though. I actually stayed here right after it was built, and it was truly impressive back then.
The lady at the front desk was very accommodating and granted my request for an east-facing room. The room was spacious, and the window was incredibly wide, offering a great view! The weather was perfect – cold but sunny, with the rising sun casting brilliant rays, a beautiful omen! The revolving restaurant had delicious food, and the seating arrangement was very comfortable. All the male staff provided...
This is an old, well-established five-star hotel in Shanghai. The environment and cleanliness are top-notch, and the service is absolutely impeccable. The facilities are more comprehensive and well-maintained than your average hotel, and the price is quite reasonable. Compared to other newer hotels, I definitely recommend staying here.
This is a five-star hotel with a budget hotel experience. The towels were frayed, the curtains wrinkled, and the sofa untidy. The elevator noise kept me from sleeping. Personally, I wouldn't stay here a second time.
The room was clean and offered city views. However, the assigned room wasn't facing the direction shown in the pictures, even though it was on a higher floor. You need to book the rooftop restaurant a day in advance for dinner and afternoon tea, but you can just walk in for drinks. The room temperature and water pressure were excellent. The Shanghai restaurant around the corner downstairs also had...
Nice location, decent hotel, big cues for breakfast. Not enough breakfast space. On the positive side there were good views from the Blue Sky roatating restaurant up on the 41st and 42 floors. The room was Ok, it came with a TV a bed and small couch on the side and a bathtub. The hotel also came with a sauna, a giant pool and a hot jacuzzi. A bit outdated feel and service good but not excellent.

Shanghai, Lane 208, Rongyue Road (across the road from Wanda Plaza), Songjiang District (30 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Should be one of the best hotel at the region.
Facilities: It's considered a decent option in Songjiang District, suitable for business trips. The location is good, though the facilities are a bit older. Hygiene: The room was quite clean. Environment: Recommended for business stays.
The rooms at Fuyue Hotel are large, well-equipped, clean and sanitary. The room was filled with extra water and paper towels, and high-quality fruits were provided. When you come to Songjiang, staying at Fuyue Hotel is the best choice. The breakfast is very rich, especially mung bean soup, millet porridge, red date water, seasonal vegetables, wide noodles, rice noodles, Shanghai noodles, etc. Jerry...
An old hotel with good service. The guy at the door saw that we had a lot of things and helped us carry them. We booked a 2.5-meter bed for 2 adults and 2 children. It was OK for 4 people to sleep. There is a bathtub for children to take a bath; there are welcome fruits; the breakfast buffet is also good, convenient and with a lot of variety. The main reason for choosing this place is that it is opposite...
Typical CN 5star hotel, service just so so, room was fine and clean, breakfast was almost no western food, toast bread was all you could get, for 1x night okay but not worse the price
Great hotel to stay for both business and family. Has everything you need inside, also the surrounding is great, very close to the Wanda plaza. Will book again for sure.

This is a true five-star hotel. Though a bit old, it still retains its charm. Parking is convenient, with both above-ground and underground options, but having to input the car number every time you leave could be improved. Seriously one of the most satisfying stays I've ever had! From the moment I walked in, the service felt professional yet incredibly warm. The room had great natural light, was spotless, and had no strange odors. The bedding was comfortable, and all the toiletries were well-stocked. The hotel was quiet, not noisy at all, and it was easy to get around from there. They really pay attention to the details...
They were very thoughtful and upgraded our room to a higher floor. The room was spacious and bright, offering panoramic views of both sides of the Huangpu River. The breakfast buffet in the morning was quite rich. The pool on the 30th floor was at a perfect temperature, and the distant views from there were particularly stunning.
As expected of a premium class hotel. Paid a little for do a room with a view - so my room was on the 27th floor (executive floors), overlooking the orientalist pearl tower and DBS building next door. Very convenient location if on business and to the river. Bathrooms a bit dated (beige and brown marble) but not too badly. Had a fantastic stay! The room offered an unobstructed, front-row view and was very clean and comfortable. The indoor heated pool was large, with crystal-clear water at a perfect temperature. When I checked in, I asked the front desk for a room with a better view, and the staff member immediately rearranged it for me.
The room was great with a lovely view, clean and comfortable. Special thanks to Anisa for arranging our room in advance, which made our check-in super smooth without any waiting.
Returned to Grand Hyatt again~ This stay was great, the service was superb! Anisa was very patient and helped us arrange rooms in advance. Both rooms were on the same floor with nice views. The rooms were clean and tidy. Will definitely come back if I have the chance.
I frequently visit the bar upstairs, and this time I booked a stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, and the view from the window was fantastic. It was clean and comfortable, and I was very pleased with the river view this time. Next time, I'd like to book a room with a Bund view.

As a hotel management professional, I found the rooms to be clean, tidy, and comfortable, making this my top choice for business trips to Shanghai. I'll definitely be staying here again.
The hotel rooms are very quiet and big. They offer amenities and the facilities within the hotel are great. The sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are well kept and worth using. The breakfast offers a wide selection of Western and Asian food.

The hotel's service consistently maintains a high standard. The room decor is exquisitely designed, very upscale yet highly practical. The breakfast is superb and incredibly delicious. Next time I'm in Shanghai, I'll definitely stay at the JW Marriott again!

I have a strong attachment to Puming Road and Shangcheng Road, spanning over 20 years, so I've been keeping an eye on this Marriott hotel. I stayed here for one night during my four-day, three-night trip, and it was the happiest stay. The hotel's lion mascot is adorable, the room is spacious and very clean, and the service was super good. The breakfast was also very rich and delicious. Overall, a great experience!
Nice, clean and hygienic with great service. The scenery is also good, and it's very convenient for dining, shopping, and transportation.
The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai has a great overall ambiance and a very convenient location, just a short walk from the metro station. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel was a huge disappointment, to say the least. Not only are the rooms old and dated, but when I checked in, there was some kind of corporate event going on, and it was utter chaos – worse than a marketplace! Breakfast is served in two restaurants; the one on the 80-something floor had fewer options, but the taste was good, leaning Western with many cold dishes. I heard the one...
Experience the classic service of Grand Hyatt Jinmao, and overall, I'm extremely satisfied! The room was clean and bright, meticulously tidied up. The location is absolutely superb, right in the heart of Lujiazui, connecting to major business districts. The night view from the scenic room was stunning, with brilliant lights creating a wonderful ambiance. The service was professional and attentive.
Choosing the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao in Lujiazui is definitely the right call. The rooms are spotless, and the amenities are high-quality. The location is incredibly convenient for getting around, and the views from the high-floor river view rooms are breathtaking, offering a panoramic sweep of the Huangpu River. The staff are also super friendly and warm.
This hotel is located in the Jin Mao Tower, one of Shanghai's 'Three Sisters' skyscrapers, which gives it an excellent location. Overall, I was quite satisfied with my experience. It was a busy weekend, and check-in was on the 54th floor. Because I had booked an Executive Club room, I was upgraded to check-in on the 83rd floor. There was a bit of a wait for the river-view suite, but the customer experience...
Our stay at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless and very comfortable, giving us great peace of mind. Its prime location in Lujiazui meant easy access to transport and shopping. Pulling back the curtains revealed a stunning city view. The staff provided attentive and prompt service; any request was handled immediately, which made everything super convenient.

Radisson Collection Hotel, Yangtze, Shanghai1 / 30

The service is excellent, thanks to Angela. This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in town for work. I choose this place specifically for the great service, it's consistently good. They've made some noticeable improvements too – before, there were often many people at the entrance without a doorman, but now they have one. Even the elevator entrances are staffed, which is a nice touch, haha!
Huge thanks to Yangtze River Hotel for such a warm and top-notch experience! I booked two deluxe king rooms and was initially a bit worried after seeing some negative reviews. However, upon check-in, everything exceeded my expectations. The hotel is grand and has a rich, classic feel. The rooms were spotless and tidy. Special thanks to the duty manager on the day of my arrival; their service was incredibly...
This is my go-to hotel when I'm on a business trip to Hongqiao! As soon as I entered the lobby, the New Year's atmosphere was right there! Great service, wonderful ambiance, delicious food, a good night's sleep, and a happy mood – even sealed the deal! Thanks to Yangtze River for bringing such good luck! What a great start to the New Year!
The hotel facilities are a bit old, but thankfully the room was clean and the hygiene was good! The front desk, concierge, and doormen were all very helpful. They've already started decorating for Chinese New Year; you could see the big red lanterns at the entrance from a distance, really setting a festive mood!
A standout among old-school hotels. Excellent location, well-maintained facilities, and a professional welcome at the front desk. I even hit the gym in the morning; the east-facing view really helped start the day energized. Definitely worth revisiting.
I'm planning a full buyout of a hotel for a family trip later, so I wanted to compare the Hongqiao and Yangtze River hotels. This time I stayed at the Yangtze River first. As I expected, it's a classic old-school hotel, which is perfectly acceptable.

The location is great, with easy access to the subway, making getting around very convenient. The breakfast was also quite substantial, but for a Crowne Plaza hotel of this caliber, that's pretty much what you'd expect — decent, but nothing extraordinary.
This isn't my first business trip to Shanghai, but it's my first time staying at the Grand Park City Hotel. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund. Transportation is also very accessible. Manager Sunny at the front desk provided incredibly professional service, explaining everything we needed with great detail and patience. My friends...
Had a fantastic stay in the room! Starry's service was truly commendable – so warm and attentive. I'll definitely stay here again next time. Very satisfied! 👍 Environment: Excellent Cleanliness: Spotless Facilities: Comprehensive
This time the room (and bath) were clean. The staff were friendly enough and some spoke English really well. Overall a good experience and it’s the second stay in a month and third stay overall. You can walk out of the hotel straight onto the Nanjing road.
What an amazing experience at this hotel. Everything was perfect, I would like to thank every staff member. The politeness the help from everyone was incredible. I was feeling at home thanks for this amazing stay at your hotel. I recommend you this hotel if you want to feel home
Great as always! Excellent location and service, it's my top choice for business trips or holidays. My kids love it too, and it offers great value for money. They usually upgrade my room, and my small requests are almost always met.

My friends came to visit Shanghai, and we booked the Marriott Executive Apartments Pudong, Hongqiao (Jingqiao) on a whim, just to try it out. It turned out to be an incredibly wise decision! The hotel is conveniently located in the elegant Biyun area, surrounded by a mature commercial district with numerous restaurants. Jingqiao Office Park is right nearby, offering a pleasant view from the guest rooms...
Friendly and happy service, arrived slightly early but had no problem with check in. Enjoyed a great tasting Lasagna and service in the Casalingo Italian restaurant. Overall a lovely hotel experience, will use again when in the area.
