Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai, Shanghai1 / 30
9.4
Shanghai, 33 Fu Cheng Road (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We’ve enjoyed the stay in Shangri-La. The hotel was a bit overcrowded (the dates we’ve checked in was also the dates of APEC forum), but we didn’t feel it overall. Great tennis court and very friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Hope to come back soon!
Everything was absolutely wonderful, the environment is truly beyond words! It was stunning! On our way out, after checking out, as we were driving off, there was a puddle in the basement parking lot. I stepped in it, and it was sticky! Something fell to the ground, and it was yellow... I was so shocked at the time that I didn't take a picture! Despite that, everything else was beautiful, and that...
Revisiting this place, I was most worried about my child's disrupted routine and picky eating. However, this hotel truly embodies 'child-friendly' in every detail. From the ready-to-use children's slippers and toothbrushes to the adorable yellow duck decorations, my baby absolutely loved watching the boats come and go on the river from behind the large French windows. A good night's sleep for the whole...
I visited during the May Day holiday. The front desk service was good, and the room was clean. The cleaning staff were friendly and thorough. I loved the beautiful view from the room, especially the night view. It's close to the Pudong Art Museum, and it was lovely to take a walk downstairs in the morning or go for a bike ride. There are also many Western restaurants downstairs, which was very convenient...
A very satisfying stay! The view was fantastic, with unbeatable river scenery. The room was incredibly comfortable and the service was attentive and spot-on. My husband forgot his charger at another hotel the day before, and after calling customer service, a replacement charger was delivered very quickly. We really appreciate that! For families with children, the sofa bed can be opened, making it very...
The location is superb, and the river view from the room is breathtaking. The bedding is comfortable, and the service is incredibly responsive. The breakfast is rich and varied, catering to both Western and Chinese tastes. Although the room's decor and facilities are a bit dated, it's understandable for a hotel that's been open for decades. Overall, it was a perfect stay.

I can’t recommend Shanghai Marriott Marquis City Centre enough, largely thanks to Cora, the Guest Service Manager. She went above and beyond to make our family’s stay special. Knowing it was my husband’s birthday month, Cora surprised us with a beautiful plate of complimentary welcome fruits and a delicious birthday cake. She also helped us confirm a dinner reservation, taking the stress out of our...
Great stay! The rooms are spacious and clean, with expansive river views. The executive lounge offers high-quality food and quick service. The hotel is conveniently located with excellent facilities and professional service, making it suitable for both business and leisure travelers. Highly recommended.
Good location close to Nanjing pedestrian street with many great food places nearby. Very friendly staff and comfortable beds.
Daisy is the best receptionist ever! Helped with everything! The place is nice and clear, I love it.
The room was clean and large. However, the check-in process time took quite long. Most of the staff do not speak English --- only the check-in counters staff can. Anyway, the location is superb!
Maria Hou is very helpful and friendly, the view from the room is fantastic. Everything was perfect!

Extremely satisfied. The service was excellent. All requests were handled promptly, and the hotel's location is superb with convenient transportation. I'll definitely stay at the Kempinski again next time.
Stayed at this hotel for a two-night, three-day trip during the May Day holiday. The service was pretty good, and check-in went smoothly. However, the soundproofing is terrible. Doors slamming shut are incredibly loud – 'bang, bang, bang' – and you can hear every word clearly when people are talking in the hallway. On top of that, I lost some valuables in the hotel. When I went to the front desk to...
A truly excellent stay! The hotel's decor is luxurious and elegant, making a grand impression. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and the children's amenities they provided were fantastic, even including a small toy. Our room was well-equipped and spotlessly clean, and the view from the window was beautiful. Overall, it was superb, and we'd definitely come back again if we have...
I booked a deluxe river-view room. While the decor was a bit old-fashioned, the view from the window was truly beautiful. When we first arrived, our room wasn't ready, but after lunch, we were able to check in smoothly. The next day, I wanted to request a late checkout until 2 PM, and the hotel quickly approved it. The location was very convenient, and the stay was pleasant. The breakfast had a good...
This is my third time staying at the Kempinski, and I once again chose the Business River View Room. I made a note in advance and called to confirm, and I'm grateful to the hotel for arranging a room on the 20th floor with an excellent river view. This time I was traveling with my mother, who loves river views, so every detail was important. A special shout-out to the hotel's room service – the staff...
The environment is great, the service is excellent, and the location is very close to the Oriental Pearl Tower, within walking distance. My kids loved it, thumbs up! 👍 The only thing is there weren't many snacks for the holidays.

Good hotel. Good service. Thanks to Ivy, Thena for helping me during my stay and Red who help me check in smoothly.
I highly recommend Conrad Shanghai for first-time visitors to the city. The neon lights nearby are incredibly cinematic, and besides the great location, the hotel staff are fantastic, especially Ivy, Evelyn, and Thena, who provided very attentive service.
Overall, pretty good! For those driving, make sure to go to the first counter at the front desk to register your license plate and get a parking voucher. The location is very convenient, and the staff, Freya, CICI, and IVY, are very responsible. Freya, in particular, made a great impression during check-in.
The hotel is clean and tidy with excellent facilities. Daisy at the front desk upgraded our room, and Diana and Quan-G provided wonderful service. IVY and Evelyn were also very patient. The room was quiet and comfortable, offering good value for money, making our stay very relaxing. We would definitely consider staying at the Conrad again on our next visit to Shanghai.
What a unique stay! The staff were especially warm and patient, and the room was really nice. I loved the shampoo, and they even give out welcome gifts. I really love Conrad! Diana Lily Quain G provided excellent service.
Excellent location with stunning high-floor views. The room was clean and spacious, and the amenities were comprehensive. Evelyn, Kylie, and Ivy provided attentive and friendly service. The dining quality was also top-notch. Overall, a superb stay perfect for both travel and vacation. Highly recommend!

Stayed there for my kid’s early morning flight. I was going to leave luggage to go to suburban city, but hotel does not keep luggage overnight nor refused receive business parcel for me. Lots of eateries at airport...
I would only recommend this hotel if you want to stay ONE night only due to an early flight. It’s perfect for that as it’s in the airport.
Stayed at Da Zhong Airport Hotel for a layover, and it’s a solid pick for convenience! Super close to the airport—perfect for short stays. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and staff helpful with quick check-in/out. Would stay again for its proximity and reliability!
We chose the hotel because of its convenience. It’s perfectly situated in the airport for quick and convenient access to departure and arrival gates. However, the cleanliness of the north side is horrendous. The carpeting in the hotel seems like it hasn’t been changed nor cleaned since the hotels opening. There are stains and what looked like mold all over the carpets. It was truly quite appalling...
Amazing architecture ( but the most interesting part is closed to the public), wonderful location, mediocre rooms, the website promises: Breakfast type: Buffet (western, Chinese). This is a lie. When I asked for the Western breakast, I was told "no western breakfast". Considering that the airport is in the middle of one of the world's busiest international airports, the level of English is abysmal...
Good location for transit passengers. Spacious room with extra wide window for a family with two kids. ‘No toilet door at all’ is a bit problematic. Communication between reception and guests can be improved.

My recent stay at the Shanghai Fuyue Hotel in Songjiang New City exceeded my expectations. It's a high-value luxury hotel. Upon arrival, the grand, high-ceilinged lobby immediately caught my eye. Perfect score! The room was clean and odor-free, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The bedding was super comfortable, and it offered excellent value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time! ✨ The hotel also has a lovely inner courtyard with great views, perfect for taking beautiful photos.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Shanghai Fuyue Hotel; my stay was absolutely five-star! The hotel boasts an incredibly spacious and impressive lobby, very popular on social media, with a grand design and a pleasant fragrance – it feels high-end and luxurious. We stayed at Fuyue with our child, and mealtime was completely stress-free! We bought the buffet dinner on-site, which had steak, desserts, and ice cream that kids love. For breakfast the next day, there were soup dumplings, steamed buns, desserts, and fruits that my child enjoyed, all varied and fresh...
The hotel lobby is grand and bright. The front desk and butler service were very attentive and responsive. The main thing is they have a gym, a pool, and a kids' club, which was great for my child. My kid was in a super good mood all day long, so I genuinely recommend it. Thumbs up!

Had a fantastic stay! The room offered an unobstructed, front-row view and was very clean and comfortable. The indoor heated pool was large, with crystal-clear water at a perfect temperature. When I checked in, I asked the front desk for a room with a better view, and the staff member immediately rearranged it for me.
The room was great with a lovely view, clean and comfortable. Special thanks to Anisa for arranging our room in advance, which made our check-in super smooth without any waiting.
Returned to Grand Hyatt again~ This stay was great, the service was superb! Anisa was very patient and helped us arrange rooms in advance. Both rooms were on the same floor with nice views. The rooms were clean and tidy. Will definitely come back if I have the chance.
I frequently visit the bar upstairs, and this time I booked a stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, and the view from the window was fantastic. It was clean and comfortable, and I was very pleased with the river view this time. Next time, I'd like to book a room with a Bund view.

Had a wonderful trip! We were celebrating a 70th birthday, and the hotel arranged room decorations, welcome fruits, a cake, and a birthday card. The attention to detail was exceptional. I've been coming here since it opened in 1998, and I've always trusted The Ritz's service – it truly feels like a home away from home every time.
This is an older hotel, and the lobby entrance still looks grand. However, I noticed there aren't any doormen or staff assisting with the elevators anymore. Perhaps they're short-staffed. This time, there were a lot of foreigners staying here. The couple across the hall even went out at 4 AM, and the sound of their door opening was quite loud – really something else!
The location is very convenient, not to mention its service and the cleanliness is out of 10. We really enjoy stayed at The Portman Ritz-Carlton. The breakfast Buffet is great as well ! Overall, we had great time stay at the hotel.
The environment is good, and the hygiene is clean. The front desk guy, Jack, is really enthusiastic and provides excellent service. I'll definitely be staying at this hotel again in the future.
The location is great, near Jing'an Temple. I've been to Shanghai many times but never visited Jing'an Temple before. This Ritz-Carlton is the first one in China, and although it's older, the facilities are very well-maintained. The room size is smaller than other Ritz-Carltons, but 38 square meters is still perfectly adequate. Personally, I feel the overall style is different from other Ritz-Carltons...

The hotel's location is fantastic! Even though it's an older property, it's very clean, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. After experiencing other places, this one truly stands out and is just perfect!
The room design is a bit dated. The hotel's name is 'New Jinjiang,' which is quite a misnomer, as it's not new at all! 😄 It's conveniently located near the business district with easy access to transportation. The environment is beautiful, tidy, clean, comfortable, and well-ventilated. The service attitude is excellent.
Outstanding stay at Jin Jiang Tower. Exceeded expectations in every way. Excellent location, elegant atmosphere, spacious and comfortable room, and truly impeccable service. We stayed on the 12th floor, in a room close to the elevator. The room was spotless and the bedding smelled fresh and clean, not damp at all. The hotel's location is excellent, close to everything. The decor and design are luxurious and grand. Upon check-in, we were charged a small upgrade fee and received a spacious suite, which made us feel right at home. The executive lounge offered plenty of food and drinks in an elegant setting. Plus, the hotel's prices were very reasonable.
Overall the hotel is ok but nothing to shout about. The hotel is located at a walkable distance to the Bund, Nanjing rood and Yuyuan Garden.Lobby is grand and the breakfast is slightly above average. The mattress in the room was too soft; I completely sank into it when lying down, offering no support whatsoever. After waking up, my back would often ache. The hotel room was quite spacious and well-equipped. This time, I also enjoyed the afternoon tea buffet, which you can have in the roomy cafe or the beautiful outdoor garden. It was definitely great value for money and I'd recommend it to everyone.
The room was very comfortable, clean and tidy, and the bedding was excellent. All services were good. I needed to iron some clothes, and the front desk promptly had a staff member bring an iron and ironing board, which was super helpful. It was still very good, and the hotel management should really thank their frontline staff. This 5-star review is purely for them! The room was clean and I even got an upgrade, highly recommend! The butler service was excellent, special thanks to Echo. After a city walk, I returned to the lobby to rest, and the lobby bar attendant even brought me hot tea – fantastic service!
The environment: The smell in the lobby when you first walk in is too strong and quite unpleasant. Service: Lacks attention to detail. The server led me to my breakfast table and even poured me coffee, yet didn't notice that the napkin holder on that table was nearly empty and needed refilling. Facilities: The curtains were broken as soon as I checked in, and I had to call engineering late at night...

I stayed at the Garden Hotel again during the May Golden Week holiday to watch the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai. My first stay at the Garden Hotel was 30 years ago. The marble in the lobby, the Rose restaurant, and the small mosaic tiles in the corridors still maintain their grand and elegant style. That's why I always come back to this familiar place whenever I return to China. It...
This is an established five-star hotel, and overall, everything is still great. The breakfast is decent, with a slight Japanese influence. The location is excellent, and you can get a late check-out, plus parking is free. However, the afternoon tea at the cafe was a bit disappointing.
It's a bit like a Japanese Okura Hotel – classic but very clean. The location is super convenient, and it offers great value for money. The cakes and black tea at the lobby bar were delicious, and the public areas are beautiful and very well-maintained.
The room was really clean, you wouldn't even guess it's an old building. The environment was also great, and I even saw two weddings!
[Great review! One of my top hotel choices when visiting Shanghai] My stay here was once again fantastic. First, let's talk about the location: the hotel is very close to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. For anyone visiting Shanghai, it's definitely a preferred option. I especially want to commend the airport transfer service. Both my arrival and departure were...
This is a wonderful place! The location is perfect. It’s close to the metro. Quiet streets. There’s a lovely garden. The staff are very caring, breakfast is excellent. I especially recommend the mochi — I’ve attached a photo, be sure to try it!

Stayed at the Swissotel many times while traveling to Shanghai . Excellent location in the middle of JingAn. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Hotel has been around for years but overall maintained good condition. The room is reasonably spacious for 2- sufficient walking and luggage space. Didn’t use any facilities.
Easy access hotel to these Michelin restaurant and best cafe. Walking distance. Shopping and restaurants opp hotel. Metro next door.
The hotel was in a very good location near Jing’an temple, but a little old and outdated compared to other hotels around the area. However, overall they are good for the money.
The location is superb, convenient for everything. The room was cleaned meticulously every day, and the front desk staff were polite and helpful. The doormen were also very attentive and tried their best. Many thanks. The only thing that truly surprised me was how poor the breakfast was for a 5-star hotel. I'm not even talking about the variety of food, but rather the quality of the ingredients themselves...
The location is unbeatable—super convenient and right in the heart of everything. The rooms here are impressively spacious and spotlessly clean, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring.
The room was very satisfying. The lobby had a subtle and pleasant scent, and the breakfast was abundant.

Huge thanks to Elio for the warm and thoughtful service! I rarely leave reviews, but I absolutely have to commend Kerry Hotel and Elio this time. I booked a family room, and Elio proactively reached out before our stay to discuss our needs. I mentioned we had a young baby and safety was a priority, especially regarding glass items and bed rails. Upon check-in, we were so pleasantly surprised! Elio...
Great location, right next to a shopping mall. Overall good, with comfortable bedding. Thumbs up! The front desk service is also excellent. Century Park is right by the hotel, so you can take some time to explore it. Highly recommend!
This hotel is great for both business and families. It's conveniently located near the Science and Technology Museum, and Kerry Parkside offers plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby. The kids' club is excellent; my child absolutely loved it. I accidentally fell, and the staff and manager immediately brought me several ice packs and even called to check on me the next day. The executive...
The hotel's location is excellent. The playground and pool are perfect for tiring out the kids. There's a shopping mall and a park nearby, which is very convenient. My children had a great time. The hotel's three restaurants offer good quality and value for money. The only minor drawback is that children's bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries were not provided.
This time I brought my child to Shanghai and stayed at the Shangri-La, Kerry, and Melia hotels. Traveling with a child, I really have to give Kerry a 10/10 – it's truly the ultimate hotel for family travel! We had a 1.5-year-old toddler, and the room was incredibly clean (my little one ran around barefoot/in white socks, and they stayed spotless, which shows how clean it was!). Daily housekeeping...
The family room was so much fun for kids, as soon as we entered, my child was drawn to all the 'Jiajia the Kangaroo' themed elements! The room was spacious and thoughtfully equipped with a tent, toys, and kids' toiletries. The welcome gift at check-in made it feel really special. Downstairs is Shanghai's largest indoor children's playground, and my child played there all day long, not wanting to leave...
