I highly recommend Conrad Shanghai for first-time visitors to the city. The neon lights nearby are incredibly cinematic, and besides the great location, the hotel staff are fantastic, especially Ivy, Evelyn, and Thena, who provided very attentive service.

For a Radisson brand hotel with those prices, the room is VERY poorly appointed, even though I was assigned the cheapest room. Old carpets, a TV the size of a computer monitor, and an incredibly old and dirty curtain. The only good thing is its proximity to the Metro station, but I’d rather walk two blocks and stay at the Conrad, Holiday Inn, or Crowne Plaza for a similar price. I travel every year...

The Radisson's location is super convenient for getting around. This hotel is like a time capsule from the 90s. The carpets, decor, colours, everything has been meticulously maintained over the years.
