Lijiang Houfu Inn in Lijiang

This stay was absolutely terrible. First of all, the room was located in an alley inside Lijiang Old Town, and after arriving, you had to climb a lot of stairs to get there, which was exhausting. Imagine how it must have been for anyone carrying luggage! Then, upon checking into the room, I immediately noticed a large puddle of yellow urine and bloodstains on the toilet. I called the owner right away, and they said they'd hired someone temporarily to clean it. Don't they check the cleanliness? Then the owner cleaned it himself. After that, when I went to the toilet that night, I found another puddle of yellow urine under the toilet bowl. Can't they even clean properly? It looked disgusting! When I showered that night, the water temperature was uncontrollable; it was scalding hot. I asked the owner how to adjust it, but it was still uncontrollable. I booked a two-night stay, and on the second night, there was no hot water at all. In 6-degree weather, I could only shower with cold water. How can anyone stay like this? I'm really furious. The hygiene is terrible, the facilities are terrible, and the dogs in the guesthouse bark incessantly at night, making a huge racket. The soundproofing is also poor, with people coming and going all the time. If you're thinking of staying here, think carefully before you decide if you can handle it.
