Apartments Ivana in Baska Voda

Ivan and his family were excellent hosts and the apartment, whilst relatively small, had everything that we required for our week long stay. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were functionable and clean, with a change of towels every 3days. The main point worthy of note - for those less energetic or mobile - is that the apartments are located at the very top of a very long steady-climb hill, I guess 1/2 mile from the seafront. Not for the faint hearted, as you’ll potentially need to encounter it twice daily. In summary - a lovely apartment, but be aware of its location. Ivan … if you replaced your front garden with a small pool and sundeck I’m sure you’d be on to an even bigger winner 😉 Save us 2 sunbeds 👍🏻☀️

We had a marvellous 11 days in Basca Voda staying at the Apartments Ivana. The family run business gives it a warm, friendly feel, and all the information we were given helped to make our stay problem free. The apartments are in a quiet location at the top of the hill, so as others have said, walking back in the heat is quite challenging. We did this 3 times a day! The apartments are very well equipped for self-catering, the aircon was a god send, and we found the beds really comfortable. We used Tommy's supermarket, which is found by going to the road at the top of the hill, turning right and following the road down to Basca voda. They have a great selection of fresh food, and the fruit was great value. Basca Voda is a busy family resort popular with Croatian families, especially at the weekends and during their school holidays. We liked that there are very few Brits here behaving badly as they often do. The mountains and coastline are stunning, and we enjoyed lots of coastal walks, popping in for a swim in the sea along the way. I recommend bringing swimming shoes as the beach is very pebbley. There are lots of restaurants to choose from, though the menus are all quite similar. The tuna salads were amazing as you got a fresh tuna steak cooked to perfection. Our favourite place was Mars Fish Restaurant. The seared fish plater was amazing. We would definitely return and explore more of this beautiful area, and Apartments Ivana would be our choice. I also liked the house rules. It's important to me to treat people's property with respect and be considerate to other guests.

My friends booked this as a surprise for me & honestly it ticked all the boxes. The apartments were very clean, perfect location for us. A warm welcome from Ivan upon arrival. Thank you for the water & beer in fridge lovely touch. Even though our visit was a short 5 day stay the Apartment was cleaned & toilet/ towels replaced. It does has slight noise from roadside but it didn't disturb us. The walk up the hill back is a stroll, as long as your fit this is no problem. Baska Voda, is quaint, charming, clean & a perfect location to visit Makarska especially if you take the scenic route & walk. We visited Krka National Park which was an excursion booked locally. Clean Town/Harbour & friendly people.

We had a two bedroomed apartment for a week booked through Jet2. Our apartment was facing the back and had a view of the mountain through the trees, no sea view, just a 'glimpse' of the sea. Unfortunately the road noise was relentless all week and really affected the quality of our holiday, although it did ease off at night and we could sleep. If we were booking a city break I would expect noise but not from a small sea side town in a 'quiet' area. I did ask if we could change the apartment straight away but they were full and no offer of a move at a later date. On a positive note, the apartment was spacious and very clean. The kitchen was basically equipped, the bed extremely comfortable and the shower was excellent. The wifi was also very good. I'd imagine if you had a front facing apartment with a sea view away from the road noise, you'd have a great time. Baska Voda is a lovely sea side town with walks along the promenade/paths in both directions for miles. The sea is crystal clear and beautiful to swim in and very safe. There are plenty of eating out opportunities along the sea front and everywhere is reasonably priced.

My friend & I stayed at Ivana apartments earlier this month, we would both highly recommend. Our host was very helpful & friendly.. met us at our drop off & put us at ease immediately. The apartment was great, very clean & well equipped, 5mins from bus stop & although quite a steep hill only 10mins walk to the harbour. Baska Voda is a beautiful place as is Croatia. We would definitely return

Stayed here May 2023 & had a very wet week so decided to come in June this year, the weather was beautiful 😍. Again we had a lovely apartment very clean & had a sea & mountain view. Very nice, friendly & helpful Family what have the apartments. Hopefully we'll return next year & definitely stay here again

Perfect accommodation for a family of 4 for a week’s holiday in Baška Voda. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The walk into Baska Voda and back up the hill was very pleasant, and the view of the mountains on the way back up is lovely. The main reason I wanted to leave this review however, was to highlight the amazing hospitality of the owner-managers of Ivana apartments. We had booked a scuba diving course in Makarska one morning, but the pre booked Uber didn’t show up and we found out about the cancellation at short notice. The owner rang around taxi companies for us and found someone who could pick us up and take us to Makarska in the nick of time. And then I stupidly left a small handbag in a drawer and didn’t realise until we were on the flight home. Again, the owners came to our rescue and advised us how to book a collection to return the items back to the UK. They packaged the items and messaged me to confirm when they had been collected. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great holiday, and I can’t thank them enough. Brilliant hosts. Lovely accommodation. And Baška Voda was beautiful, chilled and welcoming. We would love to visit again and would definitely return to Apartments Ivana.

Just spent a lovely week at these apartments. Owners are very nice & helpful. The hill which leads to the beach is fine going down but some people may have difficulty walking back up. Close to bus stops if you want to visit other locations. We would reccomend these apartments.
