This is the place to stay if you visit Plitvice Lakes National Park! I took a Bus from Zadar and the Bus Stop was right above Hotel Plitvice;such a perfect Location! The customer service provided by Lorena was SUPERB! She made sure that my experience in Plitvice was extraordinary AND she assisted me with my travel plans to my next destination! Lorena offered excellent suggestions for dining as well! I even got to go back into the Park the next day because I was staying at Hotel Plitvice; it was so convenient!

Perfect hotel right in the park. Beautiful place to stay to visit the lakes. From check in to having beers with Mirela and Gordana were very friendly and professional. The waterfalls in the parks are worth a visit to see. There are upper and lower lakes we did the whole park in one day absolutely gorgeous

The negatives:
1) NO AIRCON hence the room is hot & stuffy during summer. Could hardly sleep for the 2 nights that I was there in mid June 2022.
2) You couldn’t open the windows else mosquitoes and bees will fly in. There were 4 bees flying in the room when i checked in. The hotel should consider providing a fan during summer as the heat is unbearable.
3) The refrigerator was hardly working, your drinks will not be chilled.
The positives are:
1) friendly & attentive staff
2) package deal with national park
3) clean & spacious room

Terrible breakfast - lousy coffee, poor quality food
No hotel amenities - could not even get a hot water urn for the room
Poor information from front desk (told us we did not need a reservation at a restaurant and we did need one
Room was not cleaned well - toenail clippings left by a previous guest
The only thing to commend this place is its locals near entrance 2 to the lakes.
The lakes are amazing; the hotel was awful and not cheap. We paid 190 euro per night and stayed 3 nights.
The hotel does extend the one day lake entrance ticket you buy if you stay longer
No elevator so you need to haul your bags up the steps (or wait for one of their staff to help).
I would recommend that anyone visiting the Plitvice lakes stay somewhere else.
Even the lobby coffee shop which you pay for served coffee made from old or scorched coffee beans.
We stayed at similar level places in rogaska slatina and the food, service and coffee was far superior. Hotel plitvice is just not trying at all. Stay away.

Beyond close proximity to entrance 2, this hotel has little to offer. Price seemed high for off season (late September ) 190 euro. Breakfast was poor - quality and quantity (eg scrambled eggs not replenished). Coffee at breakfast was horrible ( tasted like old instant). No coffee or tea in the room. Lobby coffee was based on old, sour beans
No on-site restaurant. No health club or any facilities to speak of.
Staff were helpful on questions of routes but better guidance is at the entrances to the lakes.
This place is taking advantage of its location and really just not trying at all to be inviting in any way.
Staff advised us we did not need a reservation at a nearby restaurant and that turned out to be wrong which created a frustrating experience of searching for a place at the end of a long day of hiking. (And an hour wait at an alternative place)
The room itself is ok for a 3 star hotel but the shower is just a hand held and nothing really to shield the rest of the bathroom from getting wet.
All in all a mediocre to poor hotel experience but the plitvice lakes and related hikes are amazing! I would definitely never stay here again and would advise others similarly. My only caveat is that maybe the competition is just as bad! I really don’t know. But again, the lakes are amazing!

Given the mixed reviews, I was a bit apprehensive when booking this hotel. However, given its location, cleanliness, service and price, I found the hotel to be of excellent value.
I liked the retro-design of this hotel - especially, that it's not run down nor with a musty smell. It is spotlessly clean, with a renovated bathroom, ENDLESS HOT water in the shower (I was afraid that given its age it won't be the case).
Clean room and bed with a pieceful view to the park and one of the lakes. Wonderful location - 5 min walk to the bus station, 5 min walk to the entrance of the park.
Excellent breakfast in a stately old-world dining room (look at the chandeliers and other little details from the era!).
Importantly, the hotel employs amazing stuff. Dragana and Marija spent ample time with me answering endless questions, helping to plan the route in the park, and making my stay as comfortable as possible. Thanks!
