Almayer Art & Heritage Adults Only Hotel & Dépendance Rooms in Zadar

My stay at the Almayer Art & Heritage Hotel in Zadar fulfilled my long-held wish to finally spend some time in this beautiful hotel – and the experience exceeded all expectations. The manager, Elena, truly stood out with her exceptional dedication to details and genuine care for the hotel and overall guest experience.

The room was beautifully designed, and I was especially impressed by the exceptionally high-quality and comfortable bedding and new towels.

The hotel radiates elegance, a peaceful atmosphere, and top-level service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special stay in Zadar. I will gladly return!

This is the best place to stay in Zadar and Hir, so 1. The location is in the heart of the old town, and if you are traveling back in time for the first time in Zadar, this is the best place for 2. It is a historical building, if you love architecture and want to stay in a building with charm and history, this is for you 3. The quality of this place will surprise you with high-quality materials and design, which I almost don’t remember in mi live 5 start hotels, which were built with high-quality materials. 4. It is not a children's hotel for adults only. 5. The location, location and another temporary location, 6. The hotel offers accommodation in the hotel building in a room or they have a building with apartments next to them. I stay in an apartment with a balcony. Amazing style and rich life in the bourgeoisie style.

Almayer Art & Heritage Hotel is a stylish place to stay in a quiet and cozy spot minutes from the center of Zadar Old Town. Breakfast was great and set in a cute courtyard.

What made it special is the exceptional service received — the staff were very friendly, helpful, and always went the extra mile, whether it’s sorting parking, sharing great local tips, or just making sure we felt at home. Made our stay special. We would definitely book again. Thanks!

We ate dinner in the courtyard restaurant. It was good, though a little difficult due to the falling seeds from the plants. One strange feature was that we called by late in the afternoon and we were told the restaurant was fully booked that night. Walking past later, we saw several empty tables and were seated. Maybe there were just cancellations or no shows, but I hope they don't tell lies to potential customers they think are not going to spend enough...

We stayed at Almayer at the beginning of our Croatia trip, and it was perfect! Very good location (just a minute walk to the old town, the sea and passenger harbour ⛵️🛟). Very nice and clean room with a little balcony (annexe building), comfy bed. Also the breakfast was great (in the little garden), no buffet and very nice options to choose from. I loved the granola with fresh fruits. No question, we would book Almayer anytime again!

PS: Hotel takes care of car parking (eur 15 per night)

Thank you for hosting my weekend getaway. Elena was our go to for all questions related to Zadar. Super knowledgeable, fast, and lovely to speak with.

Mateo was our host at breakfast in the most lovely hidden garden spot in all of Zadar, and yet so close to everything in the Old Town.

Our room was in the annex across the street from the main building. Traditional building, super high ceiling, with nice small balcony (for smoking as I did not permit it in the room). The colors were soothing and very elegant.

Two small hiccups. First, the closet space is sized for very tall people. I had to stretch to hang up dresses and then it did not have enough space to hang straight due to shelving. Second, was the semi-open shower. The drain was very slow and I did not realize until practically half the bathroom floor was wet.

All was taken care of promptly including finding my missing linen shirt (gift from Mom).

Simply perfect!

The hotel is new and everything is beautiful. The rooms are beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff came out of the hotel and helped me find parking, which can be difficult in this very busy city. The art on the hotel walls is very nice and it is all available for purchase form local artists.

I rated this place based on the breakfast only as I didn't stay there. I was desperate for decent breakfast and I wasn't disappointed at all. The fruit bowl and yoghurt was amazing. Everything I ordered was superb. Love the space :). Well done
