We stayed here for 2 weeks. Our room was equipped well and served our purposes during our stay. There was a shuttle bus to and from Dubrovnik at certain times of the day, at a cost of €4 each way which we thought was reasonable. Great service by the staff, who were attentive to our needs and the maid cleaned our bedroom daily and was always willing to help out. You could walk round the 'cove' to view the surrounding area (which we did a lot) the location was beautiful and relaxing with lovely views. It was a little remote, although we had a FREE shuttle service to the local supermarket daily, which was a great addition, to pick up those essentials as we were self catering (breakfast incl). You could easily book an Uber to explore the local area and a trip to Dubrovnik (depending on the time of day) cost as little as €10 each way which was worth it to see this lovely city. Overall, a great experience for us and we enjoyed our stay, made better by the great staff who made you feel welcome.... Ooh and the breakfast was good, omelettes made to order were delicious and plenty of other continental dishes to set you up for the day..... if you go, make sure you pack a padded cushion for the beaches it's stoney! But lovely all the same.

Our recent stay in this very,very friendly hotel was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them and Igor is an excellent cook and an interesting raconteur.

Overall average rating and a bit disappointed

Lots of reviews said staff very friendly however I didn’t feel the same . I suspect reviewers were taking about different staff.

There was 1 person there to do breakfast and deal with visitors. I think because it was end of season he was exhausted and I personally felt awkward asking for anything .

Beautiful location but need to get taxi euro 35 or uber 20 euro to go anywhere. Room spacious but lots of stairs so don't book if you are not very mobile . Bed changed 1x in a week and room not cleaned except clean towels and bin emptied daily Breakfast very mediocre . Pizza restaurant 5 minute walk excellent Beach very pretty

We've had the best holidays ever (and we travel a lot). It's peaceful, pool and beach on the doorstep and Dubrovnik 10 min drive. If you ask for anything- they always said "no problem " - because it wasn't and they got things ready for us - always! They even take you to the local shop in the morning for free! We do a lot of self catering/podding/air b&b as my son has severe allergies and we had numerous bad experiences with hotels and with travel agencies where they simply could not cater for us despite the initial promise. I thought it will be once again the same for me - cooking every day whilst being on holidays. Not only every meal they made was super delicious, fresh and amazing, it was all safe for my son to eat - to feel as a part of a family being on holidays and I didn't have to prepare his lunch box with his food was something money can't buy! Maybe a little un-British: talk to them. If you know what you want/when etc - they will make it work for you. If you expect 5 star-fake smiles-impersonal polished gold hotel that will get easily forgotten - this is not for you, but for us this was as close to perfect as it gets.

We have just got back from a 7 night, half board stay and what can I say but WOW!! The hosts are fantastic and couldn't do more for us, Nika arranging trips and transport and Igor with his lovely food that was tasty and well presented. Rooms and bedding were checked everyday. This is a gem of a place and we will be returning in 2027

Arrived at the hotel around 10:30 at night in the pitch dark only to find no one there to welcome us or check us in. A note was left on the hotel door with not very clear instructions to find the room which wasn’t too easy humping our cases up several flights of stairs. You need to be pretty fit to stay in the top apartments! It took a while to find it. Not what we wanted after a tiring journey and was not exactly late arrivals. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable if a little basic and old fashioned. We had upgraded to a sea view room but it was just a partial view and not the best to be honest. Was not really worth the upgrade as we didn’t use the balcony as was too overlooked. Staff were all very polite and helpful. Breakfast was disappointing. Particularly as there was only cheap instant coffee available! The waiter would cook eggs if requested but the buffet wasn’t particularly exciting. It would have been more bearable if you could have a decent coffee! The resort itself is very small with just a small beach, restaurant and a pizza place/bar but was fine for us. The swimming pool is not very inviting so we didn’t use it. All in all it was just ok and we still had a great holiday but would definitely not stay there again.

Just got back from a fortnight staying at Villa Lanterna...location is nice but the accommodation is poor...room wasn't cleaned the whole time we were there...only service provided was towels and toilet rolls when we requested them...bedding changed 3 days into holiday then left the rest of the time.
Reception, drivers and kitchen staff were very pleasant and helpful...housekeeping not so much.
