Hotel Olympia in Vodice

We stayed at Hotel Olympia in a Superior Double Room with a sea-view balcony on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately, our experience was a bit mixed. The room had a constant unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, which lasted throughout our stay. The room itself felt very small and cramped. The bathroom was so narrow that two people couldn’t be inside at the same time. The shower had weak water pressure, and the temperature kept changing on its own during use. The bed was also disappointing – I’m 188 cm tall, and my feet were hanging off the edge. The bed wasn’t wide enough either, which made it uncomfortable. The Smart TV was essentially unusable, as all functions were blocked – no internet connection, no phone pairing, no Netflix or YouTube, only basic TV channels. Another downside: only two sockets in the entire room, both inconveniently located above the minibar and below the mirror, not near the bed. On the positive side, the balcony view was beautiful, overlooking the sea and Olympia Sky from the third floor. Breakfast and dinner were excellent – a wide variety of tasty options, and everyone can find something for themselves. The poolside food and drink selection was also great. The outdoor pools are large, very clean, and always at a refreshing temperature, with plenty of available sunbeds. We also appreciated the two tennis courts and two padel courts within the complex, as well as the lovely beach located just below the hotel. The whole resort area is very neat, well maintained, and feels very luxurious. One downside that really stood out was the parking fee – €12/night for outdoor parking and €20/night for the garage. For a hotel of this category, parking should definitely be complimentary for guests. Overall, while the hotel facilities, food, and location were excellent, the room quality was disappointing, and the paid parking felt unreasonable. We expected a higher standard for a hotel like this.

Breakfast, pool area and the playground for kids are fantastic. All in all we had a great time, but the shower is extremly small in the room, the coffee is instant (not grounded, as you expect it), and every night you could choose between the same two soups for dinner. Our biggest problem was, that drinks are not included with dinner, and there are not enough waiters to serve you drinks, so it can easily happen, that you won't get anything to drink during your dinner

First time here but I will NOT be returning! The islands are absolutely stunning.. like picturesque scenery. The food is average..they just like their pastries. They are a very religious country and especially where i was staying they judge anyone who is different. They treat tourists different how they treat their own. They seem very laid back, so laid back like they don't care. Yet the locals and people who live there are complete an utter rude and abrupt Here are a few bad things I experienced on my trip. [ ] No tea bags or kettle in room and when asked they told me they don't supply tea in rooms and I have to pay for it. [ ] Location is in the middle of nowhere (10mins to the latest bustop) [ ] Bus driver when I went to get the bus slammed his door in my face twice. [ ] A nightmare around the hotel when they had conferences on which in winter term off season was mostly evey few days. [ ] Denied water unless you pay for it. Complimentary water is a one time thing. [ ] Ordered drink and food at the sky bar (aria bar) and took 45 mins to arrive. Had to wait around and didn't take payment. Delay with everything. No rush for anything. Too laid back [ ] Last night of my stay I came down for dinner as I had a massage late at the spa which to say the least was an €84 of disappointment. I arrived at the restaurant 10 mins before they were closing and tried to grab the food that is left. I grabbed only 1 plate as by the time I sat down they took all the hot food off as it was 9pm. Yet at breakfast when people arrive past the closing time they allow the guests to eat the food and keep the hot food buffet out longer. I was rushed to have my dinner which I was not happy about and not 1 server came to ask my drinks order...I had to go up and ask which is still poor customer service. Last thing I needed after a relaxing spa massage was to be rushed. Not my best first time experience of croatia. Hope this helped
