Beautiful hotel in a quiet village on Brac. Excellent location for exploring the rest of the island by public transport, bus stop being only a 3 minute walk away. The hotel is very peaceful, and the staff extremely helpful and attentive. The bed is large and very comfortable, and the separate seating area in the deluxe room is very welcome. Breakfast choice is superb, and the restaurant is of a very high standard. Totally recommend staying here!

We booked for 2 nights but loved this superb hotel so much that we stayed an extra night!
Fantastic food at breakfast, lunch and dinner with excellent friendly service. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely view.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting but sadly falls short of its 5 stars. The building itself is a beautiful restored 18th century palace with traditional white stone and lots of traditional features. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly reception who took details and showed us to our room. There was no welcoming touches such as a welcome drink etc which we have received in other 5 star hotels. The room was generous enough in size but fairly minimal and was let down by some cheap furniture which did not match the traditional look of the hotel. The bathroom was a huge let down. The shower was over bath which was small and the shower head did not even go high enough to go over my husbands head. The shower screen leaked and the floor got very wet. The bathroom was also cheapened with Ikea type cupboards. There were no suitable towel rails and therefore it was difficult to get towels dried and also nowhere to properly hang swimwear where it would dry sufficiently. Towels were changed only on request daily which needed to be done considering they never dried. There was also no turn down service in the evening which is something we have always received in other 5 star hotels. We were told that towels were available on request to visit the beach as they didn't want us hanging our own towels out of windows as it was a heritage hotel. When we planned a full day away at the beach we requested 4 towels from reception staff so that we could have clean towels after sunbathing to shower with before going for a meal. This was met with a tutt and and a raise of eyebrows and we had to settle for 3 towels instead. Another day a different member of staff offered us 4. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful and the evening meals which we had twice were both very good. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and helpful with recommendations. At times i felt the restaurant was a bit understaffed, particularly at breakfast where new guests were standing about not quite sure where to go. All in all we had a good holiday and Pucisca is definitely worth a visit, particularly if you like a quiet place. Its just unfortunate that this hotel lacks the extra luxury touches that other 5 star hotels offer.

This hotel is a special place to stay. It has 15 rooms which are all different and have an historic feel. The hotel is located in the centre of the village,next to the harbour and everything is within walking distance. The gardens and pool area are beautifully kept and provide a tranquil place to relax. We loved our 11 night stay. It provided a fabulous base from which to explore this beautiful island. The staff were friendly and accommodating and were keen to ensure that we enjoyed our time with them. The breakfasts were delicious and the evening meals were of the highest quality. We would highly recommend.

This is the best hotel we’ve stayed in for a long time, simply incredible in every way! The staff are so lovely, can’t do enough for you, their friendliness and efficiency creates a wonderful atmosphere! The Palace itself is stunning and the courtyard, gardens and pool are absolutely stunning! The restaurant food is also incredible, hard to beat, we enjoyed every single meal! Thank you for a fabulous week!!!

Fab spot to do nothing in!
The area is lovely, very quiet so make sure this is what you want. Only a handful of restaurants in the town but the one in this hotel is very good as are the restaurant staff who are super friendly and helpful. Disappointed that the reception staff misled us on the latest return bus times for the beach. They also charge thru the nose for a late checkout which we decided against. The rooms were fine but an outdoor space for drying wet beach clothes would have been a lot better.

First the good stuff. This is a beautiful hotel, with lovely gardens, and all built from that gorgeous gleaming white Brac stone which dazzles in the sunshine. It sits bang next to the harbour, and everything is within walking distance. Pucisca itself is a delight. Breakfasts are superb, taken on the terrace in our case, and with a fantastic selection of yummy stuff - part waitress service for eggy things, part a buffet groaning with goodies in the elegant downstairs restaurant. The staff are one and all polite and welcoming and will go out of their way to help and accommodate your needs. There's also a very useful parking spot right opposite the entrance. Two things only impacted our experience negatively. One - which the hotel is not responsible for - are the bells which clang out from the church right next to the hotel. The clanging is certainly picturesque, but you have to ask yourself if that's OK for you at 6 am when they start with a two-minute wake-up peal, clanging every hour from then on and ending at midnight. For me, a light sleeper, it was a problem. Others will take a different view. But the bells won't be going away anytime soon. The hotel did try their very best by putting us in a room which was as far from the campanile as possible, but maybe I'm just too light a sleeper because it made little difference. The other issue - again very subjective - is the music which is pumped put of speakers all over the gardens and the swimming pool area. The volume is not too loud, but the music is (almost) always there, usually a relentless cacophony of love songs which I found disturbed the peace and quiet and bird chatter and all the other good stuff that you naturally find in such a lovely garden. I wish they'd just turn it off. I did ask - and they did, briefly, at breakfast, but sure enough it wasn't too long before it was back. To me this non-stop background noise cheapens the hotel and makes it feel more of a resort rather than what it truly is and, more to the point, what it could so easily be - an oasis of delight to soothe and restore the soul.

We were given a room right next to the church tower, maybe 10 meters away. The church bells ring every hour. It feels like the bells are in room 9.
Furthermore, the Wi-Fi pointer is installed directly at the head of the bed. Sleeping there is impossible, even when you're tired!
So we asked for a different room the next day that wasn't as exposed.
Unfortunately, that wasn't possible. So we checked out after one night, even though we had paid for
three nights including breakfast.
When we asked for a reduction or credit for the additional unacceptable nights, we were told it wasn't possible because we had booked through a booking platform and we should contact them. We did so. The platform contacted the hotel to see if a refund was possible.
The hotel's response was prompt. They had tried to help us. But that's not true at all! The hotel also claims that we didn't want to pay for dinner or the taxes for that one night.

It's astonishing that hotel management would justify itself on the booking platform with such lies for a 5-star hotel!

I was somewhat taken aback by your email. I will address your points below.

1. This room has two windows, one is in the bedroom and this one is on your picture, Second window is
In living room and has a direct sea view, no wall view.

- This is not a sea view. This is a view with a little bit of water in it. I ask you to visit rooms with true sea views and you will notice the difference. The people viewing reviews online can judge for themselves.

2. We are suprised by your claim about constant noise during the night because of cleaning activites and general foot traffic in the reception area. First because you didn't mentioned it during your stay and during check-out, and second reason is because we never clean during the night and only one receptionist is in the reception area in this time and there is no possibility of any traffic on the reception.

- There are c. Four rooms next to reception. The halls echo. To us it sounded like cleaning. If it was not cleaning, then I advise your staff to be more quiet at night.

3. Puteus Palace is situated near the main church and as Croatia is catholic country so the local habit is that church bell are ringing every hour from 6 am – 11 pm to present time of the day and on Sudays they ring longer to celebrate mass.
As you came on Sunday evening to the reception and claimed about bell ringing it was explained it to you that on Sunday the bells ring a bit longer during the day.

- I use these words cautiously - whoever informed you of this has lied to you. We were not offered ear plugs. In any case ear plugs would have made no difference. I advise you make this clearer on your website.

5. Our receptionist offered you twice assistance with the luggage wich you refused as well.

- I would not have provided this feedback if it was not true. It appears that you are calling me a liar which I take great offence to. No assistance was offered. I am appalled that this is your reply. I would have been fine to carry my luggage but you let my girlfriend carry her luggage alone without assistance.

I do not expect any compensation for what was a hugely disappointing stay. Your email has magnified what are glaring inadequacies in your offering.
