XII Century Heritage Hotel in Trogir

A nice boutique hotel located along the waterfront in the Old Town section of Trogir Croatia.
Vehicle traffic is banned from the sidewalks and narrow, winding streets and alleyways that makeup the core of this Unesco World Heritage city.
Our room was clean and the a/c worked great! Not an unimportant thing during these warm Mediterranean September days and evenings.
Our breakfast was complimentary and was up to today's general American fare standards. ( vs Continental breakfast fare)
The hotel itself had a couple of quirks. Thus the near-five star rating.
Most visitors are not going to Croatia to sit in their room and watch television. However, if you do want to view; the DirectTV hardware could use an upgrade. The picture was one constant source of constant pixilation. Others in our group had the same issue. And then there was the tub/shower enclosure. Definitely not one for those with limited mobility. It's difficult to explain the setup as I have never seen this before. There are two large glass doors that are hinged in the middle. The problem is that they fold inward with a more or less stationary panel mounted closest to the shower head wall. There is no easy way to enter the tub to take a shower. And the tub itself is deep! I found myself reaching for the the small grab bar that is mounted too low and too far forward from the point of entry to be of much assistance...
I am spending a lot of time on this issue because I truly believe it is a potential safety issue. I had one incident where I nearly went down after slipping on the tub floor upon entry.
So, just be safe when taking a shower.
I gave the rest of this hotel solid 5 stars. It's in the heart of the outdoor café action. A great place to people watch. And a short walk to the ancient fortress and across the bridge to the less developed residential areas and marinas.
A very helpful staff. You will appreciate that when one of the young men comes out to greet your transportation at the bridge to pick up hour luggage on his golf cart. And then carried to your room. (As this is a historic building, elevators are not permitted)

Hotel was excellent, Daniella at front desk was wonderful. The only concern is that the internet was very poor. Apparently it was “ being worked on “ it did not improve during our stay

The XII Century hotel in Trogir is a great spot to feel like you're staying in history. Located inside the tiny walled island on the edge of town you're immersed in history once you step over the bridge. Our room was unique as it worked with the ancient architecture of the hotel. Pitched ceilings and views of the marina made it special.

Great place to stay in the middle of the old town, right on the waterfront. For travellers with heavy luggage, this is a historic building has no lift which can be a challenge when your room is on the 4th floor.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Trogirs old town. Perfect waterfront location with historic charm and modern rooms. Staff were warm and helpful from the beginning to the end. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel! The location is excellent, we had beautiful seaview. The staff was very helpfull before and during the trip. No elevator but staff helped us with the luggage and we were allowed to leave our baby strollers into the lobby. Would definately recommend!
