Hotel Monika is delightful! The staff are welcoming and fun! Jaco makes the check-in process lighthearted with jokes and he’s very efficient! The rooms are comfortable and it’s right in the middle of everything! We loved relaxing with drinks on the private terrace! It’s the perfect place to stay if you’re flying into Split as the airport is just a couple miles away. We will definitely stay here again!

Very helpful staff. Arranged an early morning taxi to shuttle and gave us breakfast boxes to go. Quiet area but close to everything. Cold breakfast was included and was good.

Charming hotel, fantastic location. The entire staff was super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

Well this was a treat. Hotel Monika is a little oasis right in the heart of the old town. Very friendly and customer service oriented staff. Super helpful. Our bedroom was spacious, as was the bathroom. There was a communal balcony overlooking the courtyard, which was a great place to relax. We had dinner in the courtyard and it was a fantastic experience with a chef working the outdoor grill. Hotel Monika is highly recommended for overnight and dinner.

Stayed there 8 days. Enjoyed Trogir, but used this location as a base for traveling the whole area. Since Trogir is smaller it is easier to get in and out versus Split. You can’t drive up to the hotel but drop off and public parking is very close buy. Along with a grocery store, fruit markets, restaurants, and sites. Wonderful location. A tour office with GrayLine is at the drop off spot so it was easy to book trips to Dubrovnik and the Krk waterfalls. We went to a lot of restaurants in the area which were SoSo. Finally tried the hotels restaurant and it was one of the best meals and started going there versus the tourist restaurants.
Some of the best lamb chops ever.
Great service. Bought bottles of red wine as gifts for them. Truly enjoyed our stay at Monika.

Hotel Monika was the perfect place to stay! The location was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit special. They even prepared a to-go lunch for us since we had an early flight and would miss breakfast. The night before our departure, they ensured staff was available to serve us drinks on the beautiful terrace, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this hotel for both the service and the atmosphere!

28.09.2025 Heather

Limited breakfast and a little disorganized, more continental breakfast.

25.09.2025 Deirdre

Lovely hotel with welcoming and efficient staff. Wish we could have stayed longer

11.08.2025 Lida

Amazing hotel that was very family friendly. Short walk to the north gate and lots of food and shopping options. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Hotel Monika was a wonderful home base for an amazing time in Trogir and Split. Very central location to all that we wanted to do and experience yet off the 'main drag' so quiet and peaceful to come back to! The staff was amazing! Helpful, kind and very responsive. Highly recommend! Thank you Hotel Monika!

The location is nice but they do not declare cash only and the nearest atm takes 5 euro fee so you cannot enjoy drinking have to worry about how to pay

We stopped for a cold drink and we were amazed with cocktail, Piña colada was top notch👌🏼

28.05.2026 Giles

I had a very nice stay here. Yes, the rooms are relatively modest but the location is wonderful. The Staff deserve very special mention: I found them all extremely kind, welcoming and helpful. I thought there was a good selection at breakfast, including cooked food. This can be enjoyed outdoors with a wonderful view of the fortress and quayside. I would happily stay again.

21.04.2026 MG

Very convenient, nice and well located (directly on the promenade) accommodation.
Room, bed were rather small but comfortable, bathroom had however a particularly small shower tub.
At the time we stayed there, the reception was not staffed in the afternoon but mobile phones were clearly mentioned, in case of need.
Only con was the breakfast, good, sufficient, but exactly the same day after day, without a touch of local freshness.
Personnel was kind, very helpful, thank you

Excellent hotel, well positioned on the quieter end of the Riva esplanade, close to the castle and local island ferries. Simple room, with excellent air conditioning and sound proof windows. Buffet breakfast with eggs included, eaten on the open air bar area in front.
