I recently stayed here with my boyfriend during our visit to Copenhagen and the location was excellent. It was about a 6-minute walk to the nearest metro station and very close to most of the sights in the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. They were able to get a room ready for us during check in even though we arrived well before check in time which was much appreciated. The decor and layout was stunning. Very modern design. I loved the Dyson hairdryer in the room as well as the custom amenities (shampoo, soap etc). The bed was very comfortable. We didn't have much of a view due to the outdoor metal scaffolding but it wasn't a big deal. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

Never normally write reviews but have to share what an amazing experience we had! Stayed at The Socialist a few weeks ago with my husband and a group of friends! Perfect place to stay with friends for the weekend! Perfect for a romantic getaway as the scene is so friendly and fun. The location is I think the best in town, we were close to all the main attractions, shops and restaurants so walked around all the time when we were there. The goodness is crazy, it's worth the trip! Freshly baked bread for breakfast, chef's table dining at Bobo Food Studio - all with creative dishes, quality ingredients and super friendly service. The bar is where it all happens in the evenings, we were there when there was a DJ, creating super vibes. Even when we went out we wanted to go back to the hotel for a nightcap! The rooms are cozy and clean, decorated in a Danish style with art pieces. The mattress was so good I asked the front desk for the brand! Overall a super stay with a real sense of immersion in the Copenhagen atmosphere. Will definitely be back and I'm sure it will become a place for young trendy hedonists! Thanks Socialist

Absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful and charming staff who really made my business trip to Copenhagen wonderful. The airline lost my luggage and the front desk staff helped me find a nice suit and continually checked on me throughout my stay. The aesthetic of the hotel is simple and elegant - minimalist in design but with dramatic lighting throughout. The restaurant/bar had amazing food but again - the highlight was the staff. The hospitality in this hotel was like the air around you. My room was typical of upscale European standards. I had a room on the 5th floor with gabled windows making it difficult to see outside and enjoy the view of the city. That being said, the room was spotlessly clean and made the most of the space. The only issue I had was that the incredibly luxurious shower, which was huge and completely covered in marble, had almost no water pressure and the water was not warm enough. This may just be a subjective expectation compared to the skin-burning, high-pressure showers I'm used to in the US. Overall, my experience was incredible, and I'll be returning to The Socialist Hotel in Copenhagen on my next trip to Denmark.

Cool place, absolutely raw in a "cool" way, mega good beds and really cool design! At the same time very quiet, although it is ideally located in the city center. Mega good breakfast from the restaurant Bobo. Be sure to visit everyone!

Truly Danish minimalism but with exceptional design, although the rooms did have awesome speakers. Was concerned about noise but that wasn't an issue at all. Impossible to beat the location.

Much more authentic, truly Copenhagen experience than the Marriott on the water

This hotel is not up to par with other Tribute Portfolio hotels from Marriott. The hotel needs work to meet the standards.

Pros - good location, bartenders are super nice.

Cons -
1. Rooms and filthy. They used high pile, light grey carpets and they’re totally stained. Its a party hotel, this was a bad design choice. I wouldn’t walk barefoot in my room.

2. LOUD - this is a party hotel and no room is immune to the noise. I was given a room that has a balcony over the bar (its weird) and i asked if this would be a loud room knowing it was the weekend. The ‘green’ front desk person assured me it was quiet and wouldn’t be a problem. This was completely false.

3. Their front desk staff aside from 1 person are extremely junior and need training.

I wouldn’t recommend this place unless it improves the above.

The concept of the institution is very interesting. Refined interior and flawless artistic filling. At the entrance you are greeted by a 3D model of tree branches. Each hall is decorated with original paintings and photos, each of which has its own artistic and social value.
The hotel is small and cozy. The rooms are not small at all, by Copenhagen standards. And what is generally exceptional for Denmark, the toilet and shower are separated. Special attention was paid to soundproofing the rooms. The excellent location in the city center provides walking distance to all must see places.
The bar and restaurant, where there are drinks and dishes for every taste, deserve special attention. The restaurant premises occupy 2 floors, there is also a picturesque terrace. The friendly staff only reinforces the pleasant impression of this establishment.

I had the best stay at this little magical oasis in the middle of the city center.
The staff was so friendly and helpful and made us feel so comfortable.
The breakfast was on point and we had dinner at the hotel one night, which was outstanding and the best truffle pasta I’ve ever had.
I would definitely go back

The food was good, the service was good and the location was very good, close to the Metro station, Stroget and a big mall.

Definitely recommend a stay in The Socialist. Modern hotel, centrally located.
Stayed there for 4 nights with 3 months old baby. Staff arranged crib for the baby and were very helpful throughout our stay.
