Our stay at Sonesta Nouba Aswan Hotel was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The location alone is breathtaking — right on the Nile, with peaceful, quiet surroundings that make you feel instantly relaxed and transported.
The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably clean, with stunning views that made waking up here a joy. Everything about the property feels calm, elegant, and thoughtfully designed for a restful stay.
Dinner was one of the highlights of our trip. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively and fun, and the service was exceptional — especially from our waiter Ahmed, who went above and beyond to make the evening memorable. His warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made us feel truly welcome.
The entire staff at Sonesta Nouba is professional, kind, and eager to help, creating a five-star experience that feels both luxurious and personal.
If you’re visiting Aswan, this hotel is an absolute gem — beautiful, serene, and filled with heart. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable Nile-side experience.

This hotel is a beautiful and magical place, wonderfully located by the Nile and made only better by its kind and attentive staff and excellent facilities. I wish I could have stayed longer but hope to return soon.

Omg, all their staff are very accommodating and nice, their service is above and beyond, very helpful. We had trouble, one of our luggage was missing and none of the airport workers spoke English. We only asked for the number to contact if the luggage arrived later in the evening or the next morning, so we told them the situation and they right away figured it out. They called the number and informed us that we didn’t need to worry, they would pick it up for us. The hotel itself is spectacular, quiet and very stylish, and we relaxed so well.

We had a wonderful stay!

The rooms have such an enchanting Nubian charm.

The pool is just a short stroll from the rooms — perfect for a swim while watching the afternoon drift into evening. So relaxing!

Breakfast by the Nile was absolutely delicious 😍 such a surreal experience.

The room was incredibly small and dated, with outdated furnishings. The water flow for washing and bathing was minimal, and the floor drain was clogged, making it difficult for water to drain. It's not suitable for families. Breakfast wasn't a buffet; each person was served a portion, which was unpalatable. Before check-in, they said children were welcome, but upon check-in, they were told they must be under 6, which wasn't clearly stated. They then forced us to pay a child's fee of over $80 per night. The problem was, even after adding the extra child-friendly service and amenities, they weren't provided. Even after I emphasized the need for an extra child's, none were delivered. Most frustratingly, there was only one complimentary bottle of mineral water; everything else had to be paid for! The staff were all men, so if you're a woman traveling alone or without a male companion, avoid this place. It's also far from the tourist attractions. The only upside is that it's right on the banks of the Nile, allowing for sunset and sunrise viewing. However, the restaurant wasn't very good, and there was no chance to watch the sunset while dining.

On our check-in day, we set off early in the morning and drove from Cairo to Aswan. After checking into the hotel, we had originally planned to have dinner at King Jamaica, but we were too tired to eat, so we opted for dinner at the hotel (our first meal of the day). The hotel dinner was quite expensive. I ordered salmon, but after taking a bite of the diced carrots on the side, I immediately vomited it because it had a sour smell. My boyfriend ordered steak, and that evening, we both suffered from stomach discomfort and diarrhea. My boyfriend ran a high fever the next day, forcing us to cancel our entire trip and stay in the hotel. We called the hotel to explain the situation and requested a thermometer and four bottles of mineral water. When the thermometer arrived, the waiter waited outside for us to return it after we used it. The restaurant waiter also brought the bill when he delivered the four bottles of water. I couldn't help but ask if the hotel had fever-reducing medicine, so they gave us two Panadol tablets. Beyond that, they offered no further explanation, simply saying that the food might have gone bad due to the heat, and that the stay was a poor experience.

The waiter, Mostafa, was very warm and friendly, with a contagious smile and thoughtfulness. We left him a tip.

My stay was wonderful from the first day we arrived.
They greeted us with hibiscus tea, very friendly smile from the staff. The staff was very pleasant and attentive with everything they offered us.
The open-air restaurant near the Nile was spectacular. I spent my birthday there, and they were so kind to share and had a surprise for me. They came to my room with a cake and sang happy birthday songs. They made my day very special. I'll never forget it. The cleaning staff was impressive and very friendly.
Thank you for everything.

Lovely hotel right on the banks of the Nile. The people were nice if a bit awkward. The food menu was tired. The massage is nice but over priced. However, all of Aswan is over priced and it’s hard to find a massage in a Muslim country so we take what we can get. While I think they get a kick out of Crocodile lake it a little sad and serious PETA people could be upset. Gorgeous view though. Great pool and good bar!! Very clean. Comfortable bed and TV has lots of channels. WiFi is not great in your room as it is a brick building but better in lobby. Thanks so much for the boxed breakfasts and ice got our cooler!!
I RECOMMEND to the hotel adding the menus to the google docs QR code. Would alleviate a lot of awkwardness.
