Much better than expected! The Nile view is stunning. Breakfast wasn't really suited for Chinese tastes, but the front desk lady was super nice. She even helped our friends, who were staying at another hotel, store their luggage.
This was my favorite hotel! The views were absolutely stunning, and we were incredibly satisfied with every service, from the boatman who picked us up to the moment we checked out. The only minor thing was that the breakfast wasn't quite to our taste, but everything else gets a five-star rating!
The hotel is located on the island, which is accessible by a complimentary hotel boat running every 20 minutes. The views are breathtaking and the overall atmosphere of the island is beautiful.
The staff were very helpful and provided excellent service. However, the rooms are quite dated and not very clean. The bathroom doesn't have separate wet and dry zones, so water splashes everywhere when showering...
Overall, the experience was just okay. We could take the complimentary boat shuttle between the dock and the hotel every day, which was a nice little Nile River cruise. The room facilities were a bit old but clean enough. The pool staff were quite enthusiastic. The only downside was breakfast. Perhaps because it was close to Ramadan, the dining area was overflowing with people. The food selection wasn...
The room decor feels a bit dated, but it was incredibly clean, which made for a great stay! The shuttle boat runs frequently, and there's parking at the dock, making arrivals and departures very convenient. Breakfast and dinner options were fairly standard, but sufficient. Our room, 506, had a balcony facing the east bank of the Nile, which was not sunny and offered a fantastic view. Overall, highly...
The location is super convenient, directly accessible by boat, making it easy to catch both sunrise and sunset. The hotel's facilities are a bit dated, and the service could be a bit warmer. However, the overall environment of the hotel is excellent, and the restaurant is great with delicious food.

Although the hotel is a bit old, the environment is great. You can take a boat on the Nile right outside, which is always convenient. It's also very close to the Old Cataract Hotel.
Amazing location in the middle of the river nile.
Hotel a bit old or outdated. However location was very central and high security. Got to leave rather early for excursion and requested breakfast to go service and was told it not possible. You will have to bring your own bag/box to pack your own breakfast box.
The hotel and service were excellent. We rented 3 rooms while visiting the Aga Khan Mausoleum in Aswan. However, I must say that in Egypt, the porters and waiters are overly pushy and constantly focused on getting tips, which becomes very annoying.”
We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful and couldn't be more safe if you had little ones who needed to run around. We had absolutely fantastic massages. The spa is not large, but very nice. There is also a gym, heated pool, very large indoor jacuzzi, saunas in the spa restrooms. My mom and I had a great experience. Our only disappointment was that we ordered a Caesar salad at the bar...
The hotel is located on a small island Elephantine island on the Nile River in the middle of Aswan. The hotel is very nice, modern and safe. There is also a high tower in the area, the service is at a high level and the food is very tasty. You can spend the day sailing on a small boat around the hotel, or you can spend time lying on a deck chair and enjoying the atmosphere and pleasant views of palm...

Nice stay. Good location, people are nice and helpful
The hotel was great. When we checked in, they upgraded us to a large suite. It was too hot, so we didn't explore the city much. It was very pleasant to stay in the hotel, enjoy the Nile River view, and have some tea.
The room was very spacious and the view was great. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and couldn't enjoy it in detail. If I could stay a few more days, it would definitely be one of the most cost-effective options.
We were arranged to stay in a river view suite in a small house across the road from the hotel (in fact, there is no river view on the first floor). The room was relatively damp. We paid the price of a five-star hotel but lived in a county guesthouse with decoration standards. The overall feeling was that the premium was very high and there was no cost-effectiveness.
The hotel is close to the Nile River, the swimming pool in front of the house is very clean, the environment and scenery are first-class, and it is very enjoyable. The room is very large, the bedroom, living room, and bathroom are all large and clean. The hotel yard is large, parking is convenient, and the service staff is very friendly. I booked a three-day chartered boat tour of Abu Simbel Temple...
Excellent room, and very friendly and sincerely caring staff. The Nile view from the balcony is amazing. Monica the Guest relation manager went above and beyond to ensure our stay is at its best. Ibrahim from the breakfast restaurant always prepare our breakfast to go as our excursions were very early. Thank you Tolip staff for making our stay memories unforgettable. THANK YOU.

Had a great massage during this stay, as well as well priced food and drinks at the hotel restaurant.
Seeing the low rating, I expected the place to be quite run-down, but it was actually very good. The room wasn't new but it was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with a nice view. The restaurant, in particular, was excellent value for money; definitely order à la carte instead of the buffet.
Our room was on the first floor and had some mosquitoes, but the surroundings were beautiful, located on a hillside overlooking the Nile. The facilities were comprehensive, and the front desk service was very warm and welcoming. Watching the sunset here was particularly stunning.
The room facilities are very old, and some are broken. When I reported issues to maintenance, their service was pretty hit-or-miss. They didn't seem to pay much attention to some safety-related problems either. They were quick to respond when I asked for repairs, but either didn't fix them properly or didn't consider them actual problems.
Nice location with a good view. Received a free upgrade at check-in.
Out of the five hotels I stayed at in Egypt, this one wasn't cheap, but the experience was just okay. The photos made it look great, but the hotel itself isn't that big. It's located on a hill next to the Old Cataract, so walking back means a steep climb. I even had an unreliable driver try to charge extra just because of the hill – unbelievable! 😓 The front desk staff's attitude was so-so, and they...

Our stay at Sonesta Nouba Aswan Hotel was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The location alone is breathtaking — right on the Nile, with peaceful, quiet surroundings that make you feel instantly relaxed and transported.

This hotel is a beautiful and magical place, wonderfully located by the Nile and made only better by its kind and attentive staff and excellent facilities. I wish I could have stayed longer but hope to return soon.
Omg, all their staff are very accommodating and nice, their service is above and beyond, very helpful. We had trouble, one of our luggage was missing and none of the airport workers spoke English. We only asked for the number to contact if the luggage arrived later in the evening or the next morning, so we told them the situation and they right away figured it out. They called the number and informed...
We had a wonderful stay!
The rooms have such an enchanting Nubian charm.
The pool is just a short stroll from the rooms — perfect for a swim while watching the afternoon drift into evening. So relaxing!
Breakfast by the Nile was absolutely delicious 😍 such a surreal experience.
The room was incredibly small and dated, with outdated furnishings. The water flow for washing and bathing was minimal, and the floor drain was clogged, making it difficult for water to drain. It's not suitable for families. Breakfast wasn't a buffet; each person was served a portion, which was unpalatable. Best view of the Nile, excellent service. Kudos to the staff in particular.
The stretch of the Nile in Aswan is arguably the most beautiful, and the hotel's legendary status goes without saying, having inspired both the novel and film "Death on the Nile." The hotel has a very bright and airy feel overall, perhaps due to the intense sunshine outside; Aswan in September gets sun every day. The hotel itself is a special attraction.
Security: Strict security at the entrance....
We stayed in the old building. The view from the window was beautiful, though photos probably look better from the new building. However, if you want to experience the hotel's traditional charm, the old building is definitely better. The hotel restaurant combines North African elegance with Baroque grandeur. The staff were well-mannered, polite, enthusiastic, decent, and attentive. Since we couldn...
The only downside is the price, haha! But the service was absolutely fantastic; they upgraded our room for free. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. This is by far my favorite hotel in all of Egypt. The Nile sunset view was unbelievably beautiful. At 5 PM, they even organized a tour of the rooms where Agatha Christie and Churchill once stayed. The prices for dining at the hotel were...
A great hotel with excellent service. The balcony offers a lovely view of the Nile. Breakfast had limited variety, and dinner was a decent Western meal, somewhat catering to Chinese tastes. The best part was the mango juice, filled with large chunks of fruit.
After my luggage was lost, the staff at the Old Cataract Hotel went above and beyond to help me find it. On the first night, without my suitcase, they even provided many daily necessities (double sets of t-shirts, socks, spray, and other essentials). I was truly touched. The hotel manager who greeted us told us he loves Chinese people, and he didn't just say it; he proved it with his actions! ^_^

The hotel itself is very old, the staff make up for the outdated hotel, been quite friendly. Marhaba Aswan Hotel is a budget-friendly accommodation option located in the heart of Aswan, Egypt. The hotel offers rooms with views of the Nile River, providing guests with a scenic experience. The rooms are spacious, but our friends have noted minor maintenance issues, such as leaky shower heads.
The hotel's central location is a significant advantage, being situated near the Aswan train station...
I've never been better taken care of than at the Marhaba! The staff was attentive and proactive, the location was perfect, my room was comfortable -- with a phenomenal Nile view!
Cheap hotel but the hygiene is not good
And the room is normal quality

Thanks to the staff at Basma for providing an unforgettable honeymoon arrangement.
The bed was one of the few that was exceptionally comfortable.
Many people seem to say the service was terrible, but I didn't experience that at all.
The rooms weren't as good as Atour or Ji Hotel, and at 1300 RMB a night, it was definitely a bit pricey! I stayed for two days. The hotel is a short walk from the Nubian Museum, and a short walk further down is the Old Falls, making the location very convenient. There's a Carrefour supermarket opposite the Old Falls, and a pretty good Chinese restaurant across from Carrefour.
Waking up in the morning...
Arriving at 9 am, I only planned to leave my luggage at the hotel, but the front desk helped me check in early 🙏; since I couldn't find anything to eat on my early flight, they arranged breakfast for me, $15 per person, which is a normal price. The scenery was truly comparable to the old falls. In Aswan, it felt like the inside and outside of the hotel were two different worlds; the hotel was safe...
Nestled on a hill overlooking the Nile, this hotel offers panoramic views of the river and the famous Old Falls. The rooms are fully equipped, and the balconies are dedicated viewing platforms – perfect for relaxing in a rocking chair, enjoying the breeze and the view.
The view was decent, and the breakfast was simple but acceptable. The real problem was the terrible facilities and soundproofing. Add to that the presence of other Chinese guests nearby, and their combined negativity created a nuisance that lasted from morning till night – it was utterly disgusting.
The balcony is beautiful, offering a panoramic view of the Nile River. It's very close to the Old Falls hotel, and the hotel also serves lunch and dinner at reasonable prices with decent taste. Breakfast, however, is a bit basic. The service is excellent, and the staff are very welcoming.

Great value for money and superb location-close to the railway station. Many nice restaurants nearby.
Fanrastic value for money. Even has a refrigerator and bathtub!
It was generally acceptable! However, my travel companion forgot a pair of shoes in the hotel room, and when we called back, the hotel staff said they couldn't find them! Whether they hadn't looked carefully or simply didn't want to return them, we have no idea!
We got a room allotted as soon as we reached there by around 10 am. They had no issues with the early check-in. They even said that they can provide breakfast even though we had no breakfast on the arrival day. Wonderful experience. Rooms were a bit old but rooms were clean. Furniture require upgrade. The rooms are villa-style, and the view from the Nile River view room was superb. The room was clean, and the staff's service was impeccable. The Egyptian massage and sunset cruise were also fantastic. It was such a wonderful hotel that I'd love to stay here again on my next trip to Aswan, Egypt.
Excellent location. On could take felucca or a motor boat to start a day trip. The hotel also offers free sunset cruising. All staff are friendly and restaurants are located at water front.
Rooms are quite small though and bathroom is outdated.
We enjoyed our stay of two nights.
An excellent location and wonderful management and team members on site friendly and helpful staff
Wonderful service - guard and porter at the front, efficient front desk, upgraded to a Nile room.
Pool side was great with a view of the Nile, plenty of chairs and fresh towels, although bar staff sometimes a little slow on drink and food refills this could be forgiven
Buffet breakfast had a good selection including eggs made to order, staff very attentive
Dinner selection was OK but again great service

The room was clean. The food at the hotel was fresh and the price was reasonable. They packed our breakfast boxes with plenty of food on the very early morning that we had to catch our flight.
Located in the New Aswan region, this hotel is ideal for travelers with a car. It's a short drive from the Western Desert Highway, a standard hotel with moderately sized rooms, all necessary amenities, and good cleanliness. Recommend you to ask for the new renovation room and don’t forget to put non-smoking room. The Egypt culture is smoking habit and make the room smell bad. But I got change the room after I get in. Everything turn out 10/10. Location is great McDonald is in front of our hotel.

Hotels in Aswan are generally quite pricey, but this one offers decent value for money in comparison. The room was a standard double, actually a bit newer than it appeared in the photos, and we received complimentary welcome fruit. The back of the elevator is transparent, which...
Walking distance from Aswan train station. Less than a minute walk to the Nile River. Room was clean. Bed and pillows were good. Shower only had a curtain on the back side so the water was all over the floor on the side but not bad. The girls at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Only stayed one night but had a good stay. Would stay again.
The hotel is located very close to the Nile River, and the view from the room window overlooks the Movenpick Hotel. The breakfast area also had a great view. The service is excellent. At night, it's close to the souk, so it can get noisy outside; earplugs are a must. The location with the Nile view restaurant is fantastic, and the food is delicious, but it's a shame there's a lot of trash scattered near the hotel entrance and stray dogs around. This hotel was a delightful surprise on our trip. Located on an island in the Nile, it requires a boat trip to get in and out. The hotel's blue and white theme is reminiscent of Santorini. The sunrise and sunset views from the hotel were breathtaking, and the à la carte dinner was great value for money.
Our stay at Benben was a bit of a mixed one.
If you are someone who has a lot of time on your hands and you want to take photos for instagram and do not care about water supply/shower issue, this may be the right place for you.

Loved the location and the colorful setting and how it is located in the Nubian village with good food options around. The rooms and beds could have been a bit better inside though. Service was great and we had a good time on the Nile, got to make our own coffee and spend some time in the area too. One of the folks sang songs from the local area and of others too including Bollywood
This is a great option for travelers looking to stay in a quiet place by the Nile away from the noise and chaos of Aswan for the night. It also offers the opportunity of having a glimpse of Nubian culture. Shout-out to Sara in the front desk and Mohamed in the kitchen for their attentiveness and friendliness.
I absolutely loved "Fenti" Nubian hotel in Aswan.
The room was very clean and beautiful, designed in a classic Nubian style that feels authentic and cozy.
The view is stunning—so calm and peaceful, perfect for relaxing.

We arrived late the first night and were greeted warmly with a welcome hibiscus drink while check in was finalized and then taken to our room. The area immediately surrounding the hotel has several tourist shops and stands and can get quite busy...
Beautiful place right on the Nile. Very oriental and authentic, truly get the full experience of the culture. Food is good, rooms are clean, staff are very welcoming and friendly. The views are incredible especially when you have breakfast. Lots to do near the hotel such as shopping and riding camels/“tok toks.” Overall great all around, would definitely come again!

Charming little hotel tucked in a colorful Nubian Village. Loved our short stay here. Staff are responsible n punctual. Great service. Room is a little dark n small but very comfortable. There is a restaurant on site.
We loved this hotel! Food and service was amazing- Alaadino was our server and was incredible and attentive - the staff were all so kind and helpful - they brought out a flower for my daughter from the kitchen just because. Every dish was the best meal we had in Egypt.
We stayed here 2 nights before our Nile River cruise and enjoyed every minute of it! All the staff were so friendly and accommodating, especially Mohamed. He made himself readily available for all our needs. He was extremely helpful in arranging rides by car or felucca, or tours. We especially enjoyed his little lessons of Nubian prases!
This property was very comfortable, the food was amazing and...
