Nile river shore 490 m
The rooms are huge, and the hotel offers a shuttle service. The breakfast spread is excellent, and it's quite affordable. Using inDrive for taxis is super convenient for getting around anywhere. If you're not a stickler for details, it's a great hotel. But if you are, then Egypt itself might not be the right fit!
The hotel is located on an island which is not in downtown, close to the airport and a little bit far from famous temples etc., but it is acceptable and quite safe, away from noisy. The facilities are a bit old but still clean. The billboard is not well maintained and can't be used, table tennis and tennis rackets are old, just usable but not enjoyable.
The service is good, we arrived in the morning...
I stayed at Jolie Ville with my family and had a very comfortable experience. The staff were child friendly and helpful throughout our brief stay.
The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the overall service was efficient and smooth.
The facilities were good, and everything worked as expected, making it a reliable choice for our overnight stay.
The food was good, offering a decent variety,...
The hotel's location isn't far from Luxor Temple, and the buffet was good. We also enjoyed fishing in the Nile, making it great value for money. However, the overall efficiency of the staff was very low. It took over an hour to check in at the front desk, even though there were only four families ahead of us. Additionally, facilities like the gym and squash courts were practically useless, mostly broken...
Beautiful resort, located on a small island just outside Luxor. We had a family room, which were two interconnect rooms. Good beds, very clean. Huge breakfast buffet. 3 pools, of which one is (slightly) heated. We were there in winter, the unheated pools are too cold to swim then. View of the Nile spectacular. The staff is very friendly.
Small things for improvements. Bathrooms slightly outdated and...
Great hotel in Luxor with beautiful views of the Nile.
My room was very spacious and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was quite good, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The facilities also appeared to be well maintained.
The only downside was that my apartment was a bit far from the main area, but aside from that, everything was perfect.

The river view room offers a spacious view of the hot air balloons across the river, even though it was foggy that day. We also received a complimentary fruit platter upon check-in, and the front desk staff was very warm and attentive.
The hotel has an excellent location, less than 2km from Luxor Temple. You can see the Valley of the Kings and hot air balloons in the early morning from across the river. The room is spacious and the service is good.
Fantastic hotel! We even got upgraded to a partial river view room. Although it's an older property, it's very well-maintained and right on the Nile. The location is also convenient. I'll definitely book this hotel again when I visit Luxor.
Facilities: Well-equipped. Although the style is a bit old, it's very well-maintained.
Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy.
Environment: Offers views of the Nile. Both the night view and hot air balloons can be seen from the balcony. Upon checking in, we discovered this was the same hotel our delegation stayed at.
Service: The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic, proactively introducing the...
Quite good, my room can see the hot air balloon but my fd one cannot

The hotel is located on the island, which is accessible by a complimentary hotel boat running every 20 minutes. The views are breathtaking and the overall atmosphere of the island is beautiful.
The staff were very helpful and provided excellent service. However, the rooms are quite dated and not very clean. The bathroom doesn't have separate wet and dry zones, so water splashes everywhere when showering...
The hotel is located on a pleasant island, about a five-minute ferry ride away, with the ferry provided by the hotel. The services are average, and the breakfast is continental. However, the facilities are quite old and not very clean, with noticeable dust on the floors.
The value for money is okay, but the service is mediocre, the facilities are average, maintenance isn't great, and the food is just so-so. Overall, there's definitely room for improvement!
You have to take a boat to get there, and you'll need to carry luggage on and off (though there's help available for a tip!). Also, make sure to factor in extra travel time.
The room basically very old and ages..
Soundproofing very bad, can hear the noise from corridor.
Lack of sockets in room.
Hotel looks nice but the room maintenance low average.
Breakfast very good indeed.
The bedding was really unclean; remember to bring your own disposable bed linens! Breakfast was mediocre, just something to fill you up. The view was nice though, you could see the Nile River. There were always people in the hotel lobby constantly trying to sell spa packages! I hope they don't expect everyone to be a salesperson! Late at night, around 2 AM, people were constantly checking in, dragging...
The hotel is located on an island opposite the Old Cataract Hotel, requiring a boat ride to access. While a bit dated, it's still well-maintained. We booked a dinner-inclusive package, and even though we arrived close to 10 PM on the first night, the hotel restaurant waited for us to have dinner. The Nile views from the hotel, both at sunrise and sunset, are quite lovely. The buffet restaurant is decent

Hotel has Beautiful nile view but the facilities are old and out of date, other hotels i stayed in egypt r all provided unlimited bottle of water, but not here.
Great thing is the staff at reception very helpful.
Ahemd (if i remember correctly) who is in charge of night shift at reception very welcoming and full of humor. Released our stress from luxor airport to City at mid night
Well done!
The hotel's ambiance is quite nice; if you have time, you can watch the sunrise and sunset over the Nile from the pool. However, the garden view bungalows don't offer much of a view from the window. Breakfast looks plentiful, but it's mostly sauces and cheeses. The service was attentive, but the place is definitely showing its age.
Real Steigenberger! Everything is perfect, services are great, the hotel is very clean and quiet
There aren't many hotel options in Luxor, and this one offers the best value for a five-star hotel. While the facilities are a bit dated, the service and maintenance are excellent. More importantly, this hotel isn't in the bustling city center, but it's not too far either. Anyone who's stayed in downtown areas of other Egyptian cities will know what that means: no honking, no motorcycles, no noise...
The room was quite old and I found it to be pretty average. The facilities weren't great either. Breakfast wasn't included, and we paid an extra 600 EGP per person, which was definitely not worth it. Although there were many options, there wasn't much good food. They had plain congee (Chinese rice porridge) but no side dishes or preserved vegetables. There were also a lot of tour groups, so the overall...

Although the hotel is a bit old, the environment is great. You can take a boat on the Nile right outside, which is always convenient. It's also very close to the Old Cataract Hotel.
Amazing location in the middle of the river nile.
Hotel a bit old or outdated. However location was very central and high security. Got to leave rather early for excursion and requested breakfast to go service and was told it not possible. You will have to bring your own bag/box to pack your own breakfast box.
The hotel and service were excellent. We rented 3 rooms while visiting the Aga Khan Mausoleum in Aswan. However, I must say that in Egypt, the porters and waiters are overly pushy and constantly focused on getting tips, which becomes very annoying.”
We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful and couldn't be more safe if you had little ones who needed to run around. We had absolutely fantastic massages. The spa is not large, but very nice. There is also a gym, heated pool, very large indoor jacuzzi, saunas in the spa restrooms. My mom and I had a great experience. Our only disappointment was that we ordered a Caesar salad at the bar...
The hotel is located on a small island Elephantine island on the Nile River in the middle of Aswan. The hotel is very nice, modern and safe. There is also a high tower in the area, the service is at a high level and the food is very tasty. You can spend the day sailing on a small boat around the hotel, or you can spend time lying on a deck chair and enjoying the atmosphere and pleasant views of palm...

service is not really good: need to request 3 times to get the water bottles
Had a great time in this hotel. Very strategic location in Luxor overseeing nile river. Our assistant Yasmin was very friendly and she even upgraded our room during over stay over there. Just that they can’t assist us to contact our transporter from Luxor to Hurghada due to their protocol. Apparently they have their in house service. The rest is perfect.
Resonable price.
Big swimming pool and great Nile river view
Location is ok
Breakfast is good enough.
Several restaurants options on site.
Room is very old and not clean
Reuse shampoo and shower gel that previous guest used.
Take longer time to get hot water and water pressure is very low.
Highly recommend this hidden gem hotel in Luxor! The overall environment is clean and elegant with a super comfortable atmosphere. There are neatly arranged lounge chairs by the outdoor swimming pool, and lying on them to sunbathe in the afternoon is the perfect cure for travel fatigue.
The breakfast has a mind - boggling variety of options, with hot dishes, cold cuts, desserts and freshly squeezed...
A big 4* hotel right on the Nile a short walk to the promenade. Nice rooms. Breakfast was very busy with queues for the egg station. Big buffet.
Good size pool. Only used one of the two pools.
Room was too cold, called to reception twice and no reaction. Breakfast was not fresh

Nice stay. Good location, people are nice and helpful
The hotel was great. When we checked in, they upgraded us to a large suite. It was too hot, so we didn't explore the city much. It was very pleasant to stay in the hotel, enjoy the Nile River view, and have some tea.
The room was very spacious and the view was great. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and couldn't enjoy it in detail. If I could stay a few more days, it would definitely be one of the most cost-effective options.
We were arranged to stay in a river view suite in a small house across the road from the hotel (in fact, there is no river view on the first floor). The room was relatively damp. We paid the price of a five-star hotel but lived in a county guesthouse with decoration standards. The overall feeling was that the premium was very high and there was no cost-effectiveness.
The hotel is close to the Nile River, the swimming pool in front of the house is very clean, the environment and scenery are first-class, and it is very enjoyable. The room is very large, the bedroom, living room, and bathroom are all large and clean. The hotel yard is large, parking is convenient, and the service staff is very friendly. I booked a three-day chartered boat tour of Abu Simbel Temple...
Excellent room, and very friendly and sincerely caring staff. The Nile view from the balcony is amazing. Monica the Guest relation manager went above and beyond to ensure our stay is at its best. The hotel's overall ambiance is great, and the breakfast spread is exceptionally rich and delicious. It's comfortable and cozy, definitely a worthwhile choice! The transportation is also very convenient. If you're coming to Luxor, I highly recommend staying here! You're guaranteed a good rest.
The staff were incredibly warm and chatty, which was a huge plus. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, and the soundproofing isn't great; the street-facing rooms can be quite noisy, though thankfully, it was clean. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast.
had a wonderful stay at Steigenberger Nile Palace in Luxor. The hotel is elegant, clean, and very well maintained. The staff were professional, friendly, and always attentive. The hotel is a bit run down and the rooms need updating.
The plus side of this hotel is the staff do not keep harassing you for tips, unlike the locally owned hotels.
The hotel breakfast spread was very good. The strawberry juice was delicious and fresh. We had dinner at the hotel on both nights and the food was good
The hotel is located right by the road, and it seems like a lot of Chinese guests stay here. There's a KFC to the left of the hotel that's cheap and tasty.
The environment is great, and the Nile view is absolutely beautiful! The room is clean and tidy! Waking up early to enjoy breakfast while watching the hot air balloons rise over the Valley of the Kings across the river is indeed a wonderful experience!

I really enjoyed staying at Iberotel. I spent almost all of my time in Luxor at the hotel. I enjoyed the sunset every day. The only thing I was dissatisfied with was the breakfast menu, which lacked variety and was the same every day. But that was compensated for by the beautiful view
Nice location, nice breakfast, nice views, nice amenities, and very nice employees always ready to help. I recommend this hotel 100%
The Nile view is absolutely stunning, and the soundproofing is good. The room is a bit old, but the breakfast is delicious.
The room was decent, and the cleanliness and service were okay. Just don't book cruises through the hotel; they're overpriced and the boat quality is poor.
The river view room really has an unbeatable environment. You can watch the sunrise, sunset, and hot air balloons from the room. The interior design is also beautiful, with a European-style flair. The facilities are a bit old, and the service is just average.
Although it's an older, well-established local hotel with an excellent location, the room facilities are quite dated. The river view is also inconsistent, with some rooms having obstructions. On the positive side, the public garden areas are beautiful, and breakfast times are very accommodating for early risers/busy travelers. Additionally, the dinner buffet offers great value for money.

Abu Simbel, Seti Abu Simbel 🧭 Map

A trip to Abu Simbel isn’t a bargain venture, especially since an overnight stay is really necessary. After scrutinizing all the options, I settled on the Seti and am very happy I did. Abu Simbel has at true sense of adventure as it’s in the middle of nowhere, just 30km from the Sudan border on the shores of Lake Nasser. The Seti fits well with stone balconies that frame the lake and the sand dunes...
I had a wonderful stay at this lake resort! The location is absolutely perfect — peaceful, scenic, and ideal for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the beautiful lake views was truly refreshing. Our rooms are clean and spacious and have all the amenities that we need in a hotel when we’re traveling. The dining venue was a buffer that was plentiful, tasty, and well presented. Sufficient plugs were available in our room. WiFi was fast. Laundry was returned same day, which was a plus as we only had 1 night at the hotel. Small room with extremely small balcony. (We not booking the cheapest room) Old amenities and essentials. Very disappointed at Luxor Hilton. Not value for money at all. It’s also true that you get to see hot air balloons in the morning. However, the view is not that worth it.
The staff were friendly and helpful! I was astonished by their ability to speak several languages. The hotel/resort itself was very relaxing, particularly after long days of visiting historical sites. Highly recommended.
Perfect environment to live in, great infinity pool with sunrise or sunset, but not convenient to go to town center.
Staff, view, location, services all perfect
nice hotel but the buffet is a bit off
It is a very beautiful resort, and the best in Luxor. Enjoyed the spacious compound and view of the Valley of the King and Nile River from the hotel resort. First, the front desk service was chaotic. Despite repeatedly confirming upon check-in that six meals were included in the two rooms, we were told on our first visit that meals were not included for dinner, on our second visit that only one meal was included, and only on our third visit, accompanied by the front desk manager, were we allowed to eat.

This is a hotel where you can stay with peace of mind. I was surprised at how strict the security at the entrance was.
The hotel staff were also very kind. The room was clean, the view was great, and the breakfast was delicious. It was a very satisfying hotel.

The entire staff went above and beyond to make my stay special, but I have to give a huge shoutout to Rasha, the incredible manager who truly made my birthday unforgettable! She made sure every detail was perfect—from the warm welcome to the thoughtful surprises that completely exceeded my expectations. What stood out most...

Had a great massage during this stay, as well as well priced food and drinks at the hotel restaurant.
Seeing the low rating, I expected the place to be quite run-down, but it was actually very good. The room wasn't new but it was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with a nice view. The restaurant, in particular, was excellent value for money; definitely order à la carte instead of the buffet.
Our room was on the first floor and had some mosquitoes, but the surroundings were beautiful, located on a hillside overlooking the Nile. The facilities were comprehensive, and the front desk service was very warm and welcoming. Watching the sunset here was particularly stunning.
The room facilities are very old, and some are broken. When I reported issues to maintenance, their service was pretty hit-or-miss. They didn't seem to pay much attention to some safety-related problems either. They were quick to respond when I asked for repairs, but either didn't fix them properly or didn't consider them actual problems.
Nice location with a good view. Received a free upgrade at check-in.
Out of the five hotels I stayed at in Egypt, this one wasn't cheap, but the experience was just okay. The photos made it look great, but the hotel itself isn't that big. It's located on a hill next to the Old Cataract, so walking back means a steep climb. Nice swimming pool, gym and massage.
Breakfast is great, vegetarian options are plenty. First time coming here but I will certainly come back
We stayed at Aracan Eatabe Luxor for two nights during our Egypt round trip and overall everything was okay. It’s a acceptable hotel for a stopover. It could be cleaner.
One small downside was our double bed: it felt odd because it was made up of two mattresses with different heights and placed sideways, which wasn’t very comfortable.

We loved our stay at Aracan Hotel in Luxor. The hotel is in a perfect location, offering beautiful views of the Nile and easy walking access to attractions like Luxor Temple and nearby restaurants. The building may look a bit old, but the rooms are clean, and the staff are very professional.
Relaxing at the café in the hotel garden feels especially rewarding after a long, tiring day.
Highly recommended
Very friendly staff at a good value for money hotel. It could do with a healthy dose of renovation.
Breakfast is good value for money, especially in this neighborhood.
Sayed Abrahim at the poolside bar was a wonderful host.
A good restaurant (unlike the current one), a (working) coffee machine and a lift that doesn’t scare you to death would be a marvelous addition.
Still, would definitely rebook!
Room was clean but the furnitures are very old. Rooms from inside should be renovated . The regulator of ac is broken. Not sufficient lights. For the price it should be a bit better. Bathing area was very small.
Service is good , staff is nice and helpful. The front of the hotel and reception area is good and maintained.
Location wise the best and in city centre just across corniche.
Great location to major attractions and restaurants. Aly (manager), GiGi, and Badwin took great care of us the entire time. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Food at restaurant out of this world amazing. I had the spicy chicken kebab and ate all of it. I'm a give foodie! The rooms were clean and had a view of the Nile river. Would stay here again. Best view of the Nile, excellent service. Kudos to the staff in particular.
The stretch of the Nile in Aswan is arguably the most beautiful, and the hotel's legendary status goes without saying, having inspired both the novel and film "Death on the Nile." The hotel has a very bright and airy feel overall, perhaps due to the intense sunshine outside; Aswan in September gets sun every day. The hotel itself is a special attraction.
Security: Strict security at the entrance....
We stayed in the old building. The view from the window was beautiful, though photos probably look better from the new building. However, if you want to experience the hotel's traditional charm, the old building is definitely better. The hotel restaurant combines North African elegance with Baroque grandeur. The staff were well-mannered, polite, enthusiastic, decent, and attentive. Since we couldn...

A great hotel with excellent service. The balcony offers a lovely view of the Nile. Breakfast had limited variety, and dinner was a decent Western meal, somewhat catering to Chinese tastes. The best part was the mango juice, filled with large chunks of fruit.
After my luggage was lost, the staff at the Old Cataract Hotel went above and beyond to help me find it. On the first night, without my suitcase, they even provided many daily necessities (double sets of t-shirts, socks, spray, and other essentials). I was truly touched. Marhaba Aswan Hotel is a budget-friendly accommodation option located in the heart of Aswan, Egypt. The hotel offers rooms with views of the Nile River, providing guests with a scenic experience. The rooms are spacious, but our friends have noted minor maintenance issues, such as leaky shower heads.

Thanks to the staff at Basma for providing an unforgettable honeymoon arrangement.
The bed was one of the few that was exceptionally comfortable.
Many people seem to say the service was terrible, but I didn't experience that at all.
The rooms weren't as good as Atour or Ji Hotel, and at 1300 RMB a night, it was definitely a bit pricey! I stayed for two days. The hotel is a short walk from the Nubian Museum, and a short walk further down is the Old Falls, making the location very convenient. There's a Carrefour supermarket opposite the Old Falls, and a pretty good Chinese restaurant across from Carrefour.
Waking up in the morning...
Arriving at 9 am, I only planned to leave my luggage at the hotel, but the front desk helped me check in early 🙏; since I couldn't find anything to eat on my early flight, they arranged breakfast for me, $15 per person, which is a normal price. The scenery was truly comparable to the old falls. In Aswan, it felt like the inside and outside of the hotel were two different worlds; the hotel was safe...
Nestled on a hill overlooking the Nile, this hotel offers panoramic views of the river and the famous Old Falls. The rooms are fully equipped, and the balconies are dedicated viewing platforms – perfect for relaxing in a rocking chair, enjoying the breeze and the view.
The view was decent, and the breakfast was simple but acceptable. The real problem was the terrible facilities and soundproofing. Add to that the presence of other Chinese guests nearby, and their combined negativity created a nuisance that lasted from morning till night – it was utterly disgusting.
The balcony is beautiful, offering a panoramic view of the Nile River. It's very close to the Old Falls hotel, and the hotel also serves lunch and dinner at reasonable prices with decent taste. Breakfast, however, is a bit basic. The service is excellent, and the staff are very welcoming.

Pros: The hotel staff were very friendly; they allowed me to check in early even though I arrived at 8:00 AM. Breakfast was served (enough to fill you up, but the selection was limited and didn't quite suit Chinese tastes). Luggage storage was available after check-out.
Cons: The hotel facilities were quite old; the Wi-Fi was very slow, almost unusable; it was...
The service very good especially our tour guide mustafa, he so kind and very helpful he help us to buy the ticket and treat us like his own family . Also the front desk sister salma very friendly and kind. The room very clean and comfort. The location is strategic . Very recommended to book the hotel package tour at luxor. We're very satisfied
Nice hotel, friendly staff. The rooms were cold; I stayed in December, there was no kettle, and the air conditioning didn't work. However, they brought a warm blanket, and the staff responded very quickly to my requests. That was nice.
The Karnak Temple is about a 15-minute walk away.
Friendly front desk people, close to Karnak temple, basic local breakfast, limited wifi, thank you
It was nice to have a supermarket next to the hotel.
It was far from the city center, so I had trouble exchanging money, but the hotel did it for me. However, the exchange rate was poor.
My flight was early in the morning, so when I told them I would be leaving before breakfast started, they made me a bento for breakfast. The owner was kind.
The sunset nearby was beautiful.
Had lunch buffet. Good choices & excellent quality. Very crispy , fresh salads. Main dishes are tasty. Overall is good. Service could be more professional, yet is nice & friendly.

Great value for money and superb location-close to the railway station. Many nice restaurants nearby.
Fanrastic value for money. Even has a refrigerator and bathtub!
It was generally acceptable! However, my travel companion forgot a pair of shoes in the hotel room, and when we called back, the hotel staff said they couldn't find them! Whether they hadn't looked carefully or simply didn't want to return them, we have no idea!
We got a room allotted as soon as we reached there by around 10 am. They had no issues with the early check-in. They even said that they can provide breakfast even though we had no breakfast on the arrival day. Wonderful experience. Rooms were a bit old but rooms were clean. Furniture require upgrade. Staff were friendly. The hotel is preferred normally by Arabic speaking population. Eventhough, we...
Tiba Hotel Aswan may not be a luxury property, but what it truly excels at is hospitality. The staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel welcome, offering assistance with luggage, directions, transportation, and local recommendations. Their positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile significantly enhance the...
Is not what I expected due to the price. I booked through Bookings , unfortunately I Paid a bit more than what I been told on the Booking site & even they converted $ into Egyptian Pound using a high rate ,higher than the Bank rate (48 LE instead of 47.48 LE for 1 $)
Everything about this hotel is fine for the price. Staff are very helpful.
