Much better than expected! The Nile view is stunning. Breakfast wasn't really suited for Chinese tastes, but the front desk lady was super nice. She even helped our friends, who were staying at another hotel, store their luggage.

This was my favorite hotel! The views were absolutely stunning, and we were incredibly satisfied with every service, from the boatman who picked us up to the moment we checked out. The only minor thing was that the breakfast wasn't quite to our taste, but everything else gets a five-star rating!

The hotel is located on the island, which is accessible by a complimentary hotel boat running every 20 minutes. The views are breathtaking and the overall atmosphere of the island is beautiful. Although the hotel is a bit old, the environment is great. You can take a boat on the Nile right outside, which is always convenient. It's also very close to the Old Cataract Hotel.

Hotel a bit old or outdated. However location was very central and high security. Got to leave rather early for excursion and requested breakfast to go service and was told it not possible. You will have to bring your own bag/box to pack your own breakfast box.

The hotel and service were excellent. We rented 3 rooms while visiting the Aga Khan Mausoleum in Aswan. However, I must say that in Egypt, the porters and waiters are overly pushy and constantly focused on getting tips, which becomes very annoying.”

We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful and couldn't be more safe if you had little ones who needed to run around. We had absolutely fantastic massages. Seeing the low rating, I expected the place to be quite run-down, but it was actually very good. The room wasn't new but it was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with a nice view. The restaurant, in particular, was excellent value for money; definitely order à la carte instead of the buffet.

Our room was on the first floor and had some mosquitoes, but the surroundings were beautiful, located on a hillside overlooking the Nile. The facilities were comprehensive, and the front desk service was very warm and welcoming. Watching the sunset here was particularly stunning.

The room facilities are very old, and some are broken. When I reported issues to maintenance, their service was pretty hit-or-miss. They didn't seem to pay much attention to some safety-related problems either. They were quick to respond when I asked for repairs, but either didn't fix them properly or didn't consider them actual problems.

This hotel was a delightful surprise on our trip. Located on an island in the Nile, it requires a boat trip to get in and out. The hotel's blue and white theme is reminiscent of Santorini. The hotel was great. When we checked in, they upgraded us to a large suite. It was too hot, so we didn't explore the city much. It was very pleasant to stay in the hotel, enjoy the Nile River view, and have some tea.

We were arranged to stay in a river view suite in a small house across the road from the hotel (in fact, there is no river view on the first floor). The room was relatively damp. We paid the price of a five-star hotel but lived in a county guesthouse with decoration standards. The overall feeling was that the premium was very high and there was no cost-effectiveness.

A great hotel with excellent service. The balcony offers a lovely view of the Nile. Breakfast had limited variety, and dinner was a decent Western meal, somewhat catering to Chinese tastes. The best part was the mango juice, filled with large chunks of fruit.

After my luggage was lost, the staff at the Old Cataract Hotel went above and beyond to help me find it. On the first night, without my suitcase, they even provided many daily necessities (double sets of t-shirts, socks, spray, and other essentials). I was truly touched. Located in the New Aswan region, this hotel is ideal for travelers with a car. It's a short drive from the Western Desert Highway, a standard hotel with moderately sized rooms, all necessary amenities, and good cleanliness. The breakfast selection is plentiful, and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.
