Much better than expected! The Nile view is stunning. Breakfast wasn't really suited for Chinese tastes, but the front desk lady was super nice. She even helped our friends, who were staying at another hotel, store their luggage.
This was my favorite hotel! The views were absolutely stunning, and we were incredibly satisfied with every service, from the boatman who picked us up to the moment we checked out. The only minor thing was that the breakfast wasn't quite to our taste, but everything else gets a five-star rating!
The hotel is located on the island, which is accessible by a complimentary hotel boat running every 20 minutes. The views are breathtaking and the overall atmosphere of the island is beautiful. The staff were very helpful and provided excellent service. However, the rooms are quite dated and not very clean. The bathroom doesn't have separate wet and dry zones, so water splashes everywhere when showering...
Overall, the experience was just okay. We could take the complimentary boat shuttle between the dock and the hotel every day, which was a nice little Nile River cruise. The room facilities were a bit old but clean enough. The pool staff were quite enthusiastic. The only downside was breakfast. Perhaps because it was close to Ramadan, the dining area was overflowing with people. The food selection wasn...
The room decor feels a bit dated, but it was incredibly clean, which made for a great stay! The shuttle boat runs frequently, and there's parking at the dock, making arrivals and departures very convenient. Breakfast and dinner options were fairly standard, but sufficient. Our room, 506, had a balcony facing the east bank of the Nile, which was not sunny and offered a fantastic view. Overall, highly...
The location is super convenient, directly accessible by boat, making it easy to catch both sunrise and sunset. The hotel's facilities are a bit dated, and the service could be a bit warmer. However, the overall environment of the hotel is excellent, and the restaurant is great with delicious food.

Although the hotel is a bit old, the environment is great. You can take a boat on the Nile right outside, which is always convenient. It's also very close to the Old Cataract Hotel.
Amazing location in the middle of the river nile.
Hotel a bit old or outdated. However location was very central and high security. Got to leave rather early for excursion and requested breakfast to go service and was told it not possible. You will have to bring your own bag/box to pack your own breakfast box.
The hotel and service were excellent. We rented 3 rooms while visiting the Aga Khan Mausoleum in Aswan. However, I must say that in Egypt, the porters and waiters are overly pushy and constantly focused on getting tips, which becomes very annoying.”
We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful and couldn't be more safe if you had little ones who needed to run around. We had absolutely fantastic massages. The spa is not large, but very nice. There is also a gym, heated pool, very large indoor jacuzzi, saunas in the spa restrooms. My mom and I had a great experience. Our only disappointment was that we ordered a Caesar salad at the bar...
The hotel is located on a small island Elephantine island on the Nile River in the middle of Aswan. The hotel is very nice, modern and safe. There is also a high tower in the area, the service is at a high level and the food is very tasty. You can spend the day sailing on a small boat around the hotel, or you can spend time lying on a deck chair and enjoying the atmosphere and pleasant views of palm...

Had a great massage during this stay, as well as well priced food and drinks at the hotel restaurant.
Seeing the low rating, I expected the place to be quite run-down, but it was actually very good. The room wasn't new but it was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with a nice view. The restaurant, in particular, was excellent value for money; definitely order à la carte instead of the buffet.
Our room was on the first floor and had some mosquitoes, but the surroundings were beautiful, located on a hillside overlooking the Nile. The facilities were comprehensive, and the front desk service was very warm and welcoming. Watching the sunset here was particularly stunning.
The room facilities are very old, and some are broken. When I reported issues to maintenance, their service was pretty hit-or-miss. They didn't seem to pay much attention to some safety-related problems either. They were quick to respond when I asked for repairs, but either didn't fix them properly or didn't consider them actual problems.
Nice location with a good view. Received a free upgrade at check-in.
Out of the five hotels I stayed at in Egypt, this one wasn't cheap, but the experience was just okay. The photos made it look great, but the hotel itself isn't that big. It's located on a hill next to the Old Cataract, so walking back means a steep climb. I even had an unreliable driver try to charge extra just because of the hill – unbelievable! 😓 The front desk staff's attitude was so-so, and they...

The hotel itself is very old, the staff make up for the outdated hotel, been quite friendly. Just please be very careful when checking in, I paid by credit card & was then asked to pay with US dollars. My credit card has gone through my bank (but been in a foreign country, it showed a few days later) I did get it reversed, just a heads-up
Marhaba Aswan Hotel is a budget-friendly accommodation option located in the heart of Aswan, Egypt. The hotel offers rooms with views of the Nile River, providing guests with a scenic experience. The rooms are spacious, but our friends have noted minor maintenance issues, such as leaky shower heads. The hotel's central location is a significant advantage, being situated near the Aswan train station...
I've never been better taken care of than at the Marhaba! The staff was attentive and proactive, the location was perfect, my room was comfortable -- with a phenomenal Nile view!
Cheap hotel but the hygiene is not good And the room is normal quality
Nice place with well manor stuff
The staff are friendly and very helpful. It's close to the train station and the rooms have a nice view, they need a few updates though. Overall it's an okay stay for a few nights.

The river view is absolutely stunning, offering a distant view of the Philae Temple. The gardens and trees within the resort are also beautiful, giving off a 'White Lotus Resort' vibe. Dinner included a live performance by local Nubians, which was very chill. Breakfast was delicious. The downsides are: ① The front desk service was incredibly slow to respond. It took most of the day to get a router...
This hotel was a delightful surprise on our trip. Located on an island in the Nile, it requires a boat trip to get in and out. The hotel's blue and white theme is reminiscent of Santorini. The sunrise and sunset views from the hotel were breathtaking, and the à la carte dinner was great value for money.
Our stay at Benben was a bit of a mixed one. If you are someone who has a lot of time on your hands and you want to take photos for instagram and do not care about water supply/shower issue, this may be the right place for you. On the other hand, if you have travel schedule planned and not too flexible with time (e.g., Abu Simbel day trip) and care about sleep quality, this is not the place for...
Everything was perfect except for the inconsistent hot and cold water 😍
The service was good. There were quite a few flies in the room, but it was clean and tidy. The food also tasted great.
The rooms were decent, and the views were nice, but the shuttle service was absolutely terrible! I'm extremely dissatisfied! There was a black guy at the front desk with a really bad attitude; he was right there but just wouldn't pick up the phone. I called reception so many times, but he never answered! It's like all the staff here take pride in being late. We had a flight to catch and repeatedly...

Nice stay. Good location, people are nice and helpful
The hotel was great. When we checked in, they upgraded us to a large suite. It was too hot, so we didn't explore the city much. It was very pleasant to stay in the hotel, enjoy the Nile River view, and have some tea.
The room was very spacious and the view was great. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and couldn't enjoy it in detail. If I could stay a few more days, it would definitely be one of the most cost-effective options.
We were arranged to stay in a river view suite in a small house across the road from the hotel (in fact, there is no river view on the first floor). The room was relatively damp. We paid the price of a five-star hotel but lived in a county guesthouse with decoration standards. The overall feeling was that the premium was very high and there was no cost-effectiveness.
The hotel is close to the Nile River, the swimming pool in front of the house is very clean, the environment and scenery are first-class, and it is very enjoyable. The room is very large, the bedroom, living room, and bathroom are all large and clean. The hotel yard is large, parking is convenient, and the service staff is very friendly. I booked a three-day chartered boat tour of Abu Simbel Temple...
Excellent room, and very friendly and sincerely caring staff. The Nile view from the balcony is amazing. Monica the Guest relation manager went above and beyond to ensure our stay is at its best. Ibrahim from the breakfast restaurant always prepare our breakfast to go as our excursions were very early. Thank you Tolip staff for making our stay memories unforgettable. THANK YOU.

Best view of the Nile, excellent service. Kudos to the staff in particular.
The stretch of the Nile in Aswan is arguably the most beautiful, and the hotel's legendary status goes without saying, having inspired both the novel and film "Death on the Nile." The hotel has a very bright and airy feel overall, perhaps due to the intense sunshine outside; Aswan in September gets sun every day. The hotel itself is a special attraction. Security: Strict security at the entrance....
We stayed in the old building. The view from the window was beautiful, though photos probably look better from the new building. However, if you want to experience the hotel's traditional charm, the old building is definitely better. The hotel restaurant combines North African elegance with Baroque grandeur. The staff were well-mannered, polite, enthusiastic, decent, and attentive. Since we couldn...
The only downside is the price, haha! But the service was absolutely fantastic; they upgraded our room for free. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. This is by far my favorite hotel in all of Egypt. The Nile sunset view was unbelievably beautiful. At 5 PM, they even organized a tour of the rooms where Agatha Christie and Churchill once stayed. The prices for dining at the hotel were...
A great hotel with excellent service. The balcony offers a lovely view of the Nile. Breakfast had limited variety, and dinner was a decent Western meal, somewhat catering to Chinese tastes. The best part was the mango juice, filled with large chunks of fruit.
After my luggage was lost, the staff at the Old Cataract Hotel went above and beyond to help me find it. On the first night, without my suitcase, they even provided many daily necessities (double sets of t-shirts, socks, spray, and other essentials). I was truly touched. The hotel manager who greeted us told us he loves Chinese people, and he didn't just say it; he proved it with his actions! ^_^ ...

The room was clean.  The food at the hotel was fresh and the price was reasonable.  They packed our breakfast boxes with plenty of food on the very early morning that we had to catch our flight.
Located in the New Aswan region, this hotel is ideal for travelers with a car. It's a short drive from the Western Desert Highway, a standard hotel with moderately sized rooms, all necessary amenities, and good cleanliness. The breakfast selection is plentiful, and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.
Superb hotel .helped us with vegetarian options..wifi is a bit problem but very co operative staff
The service was good, and I felt quite comfortable.
Better than the hotels in Cairo
The place is pretty new, but it's in a really remote area, so we rented a car.

Our stay at Sonesta Nouba Aswan Hotel was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. This hotel is a beautiful and magical place, wonderfully located by the Nile and made only better by its kind and attentive staff and excellent facilities. I wish I could have stayed longer but hope to return soon.
Omg, all their staff are very accommodating and nice, their service is above and beyond, very helpful. We had trouble, one of our luggage was missing and none of the airport workers spoke English. We only asked for the number to contact if the luggage arrived later in the evening or the next morning, so we told them the situation and they right away figured it out. They called the number and informed...
We had a wonderful stay! The rooms have such an enchanting Nubian charm. The pool is just a short stroll from the rooms — perfect for a swim while watching the afternoon drift into evening. So relaxing! Breakfast by the Nile was absolutely delicious 😍 such a surreal experience.
The room was incredibly small and dated, with outdated furnishings. The water flow for washing and bathing was minimal, and the floor drain was clogged, making it difficult for water to drain. It's not suitable for families. Breakfast wasn't a buffet; each person was served a portion, which was unpalatable. Before check-in, they said children were welcome, but upon check-in, they were told they must...

The room I booked in a hurry through the shoe city that day was only 120 yuan including breakfast. The location is in a street next to the railway station square. It is easy to find, the transportation is convenient, and it is not noisy. After checking in, I found that the room is large, the bedding is clean, and the heat is hot. The water is strong. I have stayed in the well-known Cleopatra Hotel...

The room we stayed in was not well-illuminated. Very dim lights, otherwise a simple, standard room that's fair for its price. Critiques: Beds had spines protruding out that weren't easy on your back and spine; shower curtain was not designed properly, went up to your waist, water gushed out the bottom onto the floor, parking is NOT included, good luck finding one on the adjacent streets. However, service...
The hotel is clean. The room is really big and good space. The price is little high for it's category. The location is perfect and you are close to market, cafes, train station and Nile decks. The staff there is kind. Breakfast 🥞 is horrible
It’s part of my tour staying @ this hotel. So I don’t know how much the tour agency paid per night. Probably a budget hotel. The location is just 2 min or less walking distance from Aswan railway station, many restaurants or shops around here. This is a highly recommended hotel who wish to spend their free time in the heart of the Nubian village. It is located very close to the bustling tourist street market and is on close proximity to the Nile river at the west bank of Aswan. I would say a stay at this place would give one an entry point to African culture. The food served in the hotel's restaurant is very tasty and I vouch for their chicken...
It's located in the heart of Nubian Village's downtown area (?) and right next to the pier, making it easily accessible from the boat. It seems like it's just barely accessible by car (depending on the day). The rooms are cute, and while not exactly hotel-like, they're well-maintained. Contrary to reviews, there was someone at the front desk both morning and night. I was worried about my early morning...
This is a fantastic guesthouse, located in the heart of Nubian village, next to the main pier. The rooms are clean and hygienic, fully equipped, and the service is attentive and welcoming. Breakfast is also excellent. It boasts a rich local culture, and the Nile River is right outside the door. There are many beaches within 500 meters, attracting many swimmers. Overall, it offers great value for money...
A wonderful location, with excellent service and breakfast. Would highly recommend, I loved being right by the Nile for meals
The hotel is right by the Nile River, and the whole street is blue, as if you have entered a fairy tale world. This hotel is very cheap, with a good environment and Mediterranean style. The breakfast is freshly made, and the price per night is only one or two hundred. The only drawback is that the bathroom is not separated into dry and wet areas, but the price and service are worth it. I will stay...
I heard that the more prosperous part of Aswan is the east bank of the Nile, but this is a small hotel in a Nubian village on the west bank of the Nile. If you have a chartered car, you can stay in the village to experience the Nubian culture (there is a section of road under construction into the village, it is not easy to walk and it is very dark at night). You can see the sunrise over the Nile when...
