The rooms were clean and tidy. Very friendly staff
Staff is very nice and try to make your stay really comfortable.
Sauna is nice. You can sing up for time at administrators desk.
Breakfast and dinner is good. Variety of diches are available.
There is place where kids can play. Sleds are available outside.
Also there is a kitchen where you can make tea and coffee. You can cook and eat there as well.
Rooms are big enough.
The only problem we faced is not super convenient shower. Water is everywhere after you showered.
I also loved the sauna experience! It is located in the little lighthouse on the top of the hotel. You can book it for your room at the reception, so it's all just for you. Afterwards you can go out to the terrace to enjoy the view and the winter air.
Breakfast was tasty and the choices were ok, I think everyone can find something for themselves. You also have access to the shared kitchen with coffee&tea.
What really cemented my opinion of this place though was the way staff and owners were doing their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. It was truly what elevated the whole experience. They told us about the history of the place and went out of their way to help us. I would definitely come back there, maybe in summer for comparison! :)
The only thing that can cause problems is the fact that it is a little far away from city center. I would recommend going by car or getting a taxi, especially if you have a bigger luggage. But well, you wouldn't be able to have such a picturesque spot in the middle of Kemi!
