Worst hotel experience in Finland so far. The room was old, poorly maintained, and not properly cleaned. The key card system was a constant issue; they were unable to provide us with two functioning room cards. The family room was great, with a large bedroom and a separate bunk bed. The wooden cabin was cozy. It's a five-minute walk back to the hotel after skiing, and a three-minute walk to the shopping street. A perfect choice for Levi Ski Resort.

This is a former Olympic training center now used by local youth as a full time training facility so there's a LOT of kids and families staying here but everyone was polite and well behaved. Great hotel, super convenient

If i could rate above excellent, I would. The food, the room, the location, staff and parking made for an extremely memorable visit. We absolutely loved this hotel and town. They even gave us functional and festive Christmas room keys to take home.

I'm so happy because our room is very clean.Especially, there is a bathtub in our room, we were so happy:) We wanna book again if we come back. But we just hope that we can watch Netflix or YouTube on the TV. We hope just about it!

The family room was very nice, but the fifth person was considered an extra bed and slept on a sofa. The hotel ground floor was great for watching the Northern Lights, and we saw them that night. There seemed to be a sauna in the bathroom, but we didn't try it as we didn't know how to use it. The hotel breakfast was an English breakfast, and the hotel entrance offered views of the ski resort.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and its location was perfect, right in the city center. Although the room was on the smaller side, it was very comfortable. The hotel's breakfast was also incredibly appealing.

Overall: Generally nice hotel with an excellent location in downtown Rovaniemi. Loved the bedding and the extra pillow for stacking. we have a comfortable stay. The room is spacious, including attachments private sauna room which is inside the toilet. We have to preheat the room for about 40 minutes prior to enjoy the sauna. There are some shopping center and super market near the hotel within 10 to 15 minutes walk depending your foot power.

The location is fantastic, with a café on-site and plenty of attractions nearby. There's also a bus stop close by. The breakfast was lavish. However, for the sauna, the operating hours are short, and the temperature is a bit low. After a few people used the shower, the drain got clogged. I wouldn't recommend it if your main purpose is the sauna. While laundry service is available, it's quite expensive...

The room was good and cosy. It was near to the appuka resort shuttle bus if you have booked activities with them. The breakfast was good too. All the necessary shop and restaurant are closed and round the corner. I would choose this hotel again if I come again. Thanks for storing my luggage from morning until close to 6.30pm

The location is smack right in the heart of town Center. There is a mall opposite, a Chinese restaurant beside and a walking 5 min to Santa town office. Not to mention bus stop is just 1 min walk. There is no better place to be sleeping in rovaniemi. Part of the Europe regulation; there are no disposal amenities . So if you want a room slipper, better bring your own else you will be walking in cold...

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right in the city center. There's a mall and a large supermarket directly across the street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The room is a bit small, but very neat and clean. I highly recommend having breakfast at the hotel; Scandic hotels always have an amazing and delicious breakfast spread!

Booked and the next day tried to shift the dates by one day. They would not allow it and showed zero empathy for the fact that the airport was closed due to war. Also sauna was closed in the early afternoon and past 10 pm which is disappointing. I am a big fan of Scandic normally but the greed and lack of empathy here just because it’s non refundable is such a big turn off. Give your money to nicer...

The hotel is very spacious and clean, and the location is excellent. It's easy to hail an Uber, and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel that goes directly to Santa Claus Village, which is super convenient. The breakfast spread is amazing; I looked forward to it every morning!

It was during the Christmas season, so it was a bit pricey, but it was a great stay. The breakfast was delicious. The next day, when I told them I couldn't eat breakfast due to a flight, they prepared a breakfast box for me.

The room seemed to have been renovated and was relatively new. The location wasn't the best in the area, but since it was a small place, it was only about a five-minute walk to the center, even in the freezing cold. The service was adequate. The room wasn't too small if two people stayed without having to unfold the sofa bed.

It's a beautiful hotel with a lovely restaurant upstairs; however, reservations are required for the upstairs dining area. The rooms are clean and hygienic, and the windows offer views of the snowscape. It's a bit far from the city center.

I'm Japanese. I'll describe the hotel in Japanese. I can honestly say that it was a very high-quality, excellent hotel. All the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, and all the staff at the activities were very friendly, giving me a sense of security. I've stayed in many hotels, but I highly recommend this one. The hotel’s breakfast was excellent and very varied, definitely worth trying. The rooms were clean and tidy with an amazing view, especially if you plan to see the Northern Lights. The staff were very cheerful and kind, always willing to help. The hotel’s transport service was also excellent.

Overall the stay was good..the location was nice..however, the room. There were no bathroom mats provided..the beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast timings for the weekends was mentioned as 7am - 10.30am across all gear communication..however, when checked they informed its until 10am on all days..

The hotel is conveniently close to Helsinki Central Station. The room only had towels, a hairdryer, and an electric kettle. I saw a review mentioning that the front desk would heat up food if you asked, as there's no microwave, so I tried, but they couldn't do it. I guess the only good thing about this place is its location.

We spent 4 days here, and the facilities are well-maintained and clean. It's quite well-located, and we absolutely loved the hotel and the very attentive staff! The lady at reception was lovely and even taught us a few Finnish words. The only small drawback I'd mention is that the breakfast was a bit cold, but other than that, I'm delighted! 🥰

Great location - close to Arktikum, super friendly staff.

The location is good, very close to the city center, but the room was not cleaned and the trash wasn't emptied. The air conditioning inexplicably stopped working, which caused all the food we bought to spoil. Also, there were small cockroaches scurrying around the room, which was a bit gross. Other than that, everything else was pretty satisfactory.

While it might be due to the season, I felt the hotel's quality didn't match its price. There's no elevator, so I had to carry my heavy suitcase up. The room was small, and I could constantly hear conversations from the next room. If I stay in Rovaniemi again, I'll pay a bit more for a different hotel.

The location is excellent, and the room is very clean and tidy, with superb underfloor heating in the bathroom. The front desk lady is not only beautiful but also incredibly kind and gentle. If I get the chance to visit Rovaniemi again, I'll definitely choose this accommodation every time.

Stayed at the Arctic Light Hotel for 3 nights, 23-25th November 2025. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The staff were attentive, friendly and easy to communicate with in every interaction. The room was very comfortable and beautifully presented and the location was fantastic in the middle of town. We stayed at the camping area of Hotel Yöpuu in Kemi and had a very good experience. The sanitary facilities were clean and well heated, which was really appreciated, especially in winter. For Christmas, I splurged on what might be a once-in-a-lifetime trip with my three children. We were expecting -20°C, but it was unexpectedly warm at 1°C on the day, and we were blessed with good weather and got to see the Northern Lights – it was absolutely breathtaking! The transportation from the zoo to the resort is unclear; those using public transport can only take taxis to the park and also to the bus station, otherwise it's very inconvenient. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Upon check-in, we found the room wasn't cleaned properly, but the staff quickly addressed the issue.

The hotel facilities are new and clean, but it is difficult to get there by public transportation. There is less light pollution at night, and we are lucky enough to see the aurora. It is recommended to drive there by yourself. 

The hotel is located far from the city, about an hour's drive away. Although it is a bit far away, the aurora borealis exploded in this hotel. We stayed in a glass house and the aurora was all around us. It was very fun. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have a TV. But I highly recommend this hotel mainly for chasing the aurora and self-driving.

Second stay here, it's our favorite cabin in Levi! Raisa, the host is super friendly, answers very quickly and gives great advice and tips. The beds are very comfortable, the sauna is plus. We would definitely come back here next time in Lapland.

The relatively affordable option in Rovaniemi (everything is expensive) but good room, remember to check in at another location before coming!

Since it was a detached building, there were no special services! I knew that when I went, so there were no problems. There were also facilities where you can learn about the Northern Lights and Finnish nature, as well as a large supermarket, within walking distance, so there were no problems. I recommend this hotel for those who are just looking for a place to stay!
