If you visit during the snowy season, the glass will be mostly covered in snow, so you won't be able to get a clear view of the sky.

The room was a bit small, and the air conditioning wasn't quite strong enough – I even felt a bit chilly wearing thick fleece pants. I suggest increasing the fan speed on the AC. There's a time limit for showering in the room; if you exceed it, the water cuts off, likely due to a small water heater capacity. The Aurora alarm system in the room is excellent. If you're a couple, make sure to book for two people. Otherwise, the hotel charges extra if only one person is listed. The room temperature isn't adjustable, and the pillows are just okay. The hotel breakfast is decent, but dinner really isn't suitable for a Chinese palate. Overall, the service is good; they can help book activities you're interested in.

we have a comfortable stay. The room is spacious, including attachments private sauna room which is inside the toilet. We have to preheat the room for about 40 minutes prior to enjoy the sauna. There are some shopping center and super market near the hotel within 10 to 15 minutes walk depending your foot power.

The location is fantastic, with a café on-site and plenty of attractions nearby. There's also a bus stop close by. The breakfast was lavish. However, for the sauna, the operating hours are short, and the temperature is a bit low. After a few people used the shower, the drain got clogged. I wouldn't recommend it if your main purpose is the sauna. While laundry service is available, it's quite expensive...

Booked and the next day tried to shift the dates by one day. They would not allow it and showed zero empathy for the fact that the airport was closed due to war. Also sauna was closed in the early afternoon and past 10 pm which is disappointing. The room seemed to have been renovated and was relatively new. The location wasn't the best in the area, but since it was a small place, it was only about a five-minute walk to the center, even in the freezing cold. The service was adequate. The room wasn't too small if two people stayed without having to unfold the sofa bed.

The key card system was a constant issue; they were unable to provide us with two functioning room cards. I'm Japanese. I'll describe the hotel in Japanese. I can honestly say that it was a very high-quality, excellent hotel. The hotel is conveniently close to Helsinki Central Station. The room only had towels, a hairdryer, and an electric kettle. I saw a review mentioning that the front desk would heat up food if you asked, as there's no microwave, so I tried, but they couldn't do it. I guess the only good thing about this place is its location.

We spent 4 days here, and the facilities are well-maintained and clean. It's quite well-located, and we absolutely loved the hotel and the very attentive staff! The lady at reception was lovely and even taught us a few Finnish words. The only small drawback I'd mention is that the breakfast was a bit cold, but other than that, I'm delighted! 🥰

The location is good, very close to the city center, but the room was not cleaned and the trash wasn't emptied. The air conditioning inexplicably stopped working, which caused all the food we bought to spoil. Also, there were small cockroaches scurrying around the room, which was a bit gross. Other than that, everything else was pretty satisfactory.

While it might be due to the season, I felt the hotel's quality didn't match its price. There's no elevator, so I had to carry my heavy suitcase up. The room was small, and I could constantly hear conversations from the next room. If I stay in Rovaniemi again, I'll pay a bit more for a different hotel.

Stayed at the Arctic Light Hotel for 3 nights, 23-25th November 2025. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The staff were attentive, friendly and easy to communicate with in every interaction. The room was very comfortable and beautifully presented and the location was fantastic in the middle of town. For Christmas, I splurged on what might be a once-in-a-lifetime trip with my three children. We were expecting -20°C, but it was unexpectedly warm at 1°C on the day, and we were blessed with good weather and got to see the Northern Lights – it was absolutely breathtaking! The transportation from the zoo to the resort is unclear; those using public transport can only take taxis to the park and also to the bus station, otherwise it's very inconvenient. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Upon check-in, we found the room wasn't cleaned properly, but the staff quickly addressed the issue.

The hotel facilities are new and clean, but it is difficult to get there by public transportation. There is less light pollution at night, and we are lucky enough to see the aurora. It is recommended to drive there by yourself. 

The hotel is located far from the city, about an hour's drive away. Although it is a bit far away, the aurora borealis exploded in this hotel. We stayed in a glass house and the aurora was all around us. It was very fun. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have a TV. But I highly recommend this hotel mainly for chasing the aurora and self-driving.

This property is just outside of Levi (about 10-15 mins drive from main town center). It’s a beautiful property and the igloo rooms are quite spacious , luxurious and comfortable with all amenities. Their breakfast was good but could have been better. They provide a hot tub outside every igloo room but I feel the water wasn’t warm enough so we couldn’t use it in the cold weather.

I stayed at Northern Light Levi and it was such a special trip! I arrived in Levi on my first day and was so lucky to see the northern lights right away, an unforgettable moment. Everything about this hotel was fantastic. We had an aurora suite for 2 nights and were able to see the aurora both nights. I highly recommend taking an aurora tour as well for a different vantage point. The food was excellent, and all staff was welcoming and helpful.

First of all, best hostess ever! Aaria is extremely nice and helpful with all your needs. Her breakfast is good and her Finnish pancakes are amazing. The B&B is very clean and welcoming. The b&b has 2 toilets and showers to share which are always clean. This was my first time sharing and didn't mind it at all. Can't say enough on how great it was staying here for 5 days.
