we have a comfortable stay. The room is spacious, including attachments private sauna room which is inside the toilet. We have to preheat the room for about 40 minutes prior to enjoy the sauna. There are some shopping center and super market near the hotel within 10 to 15 minutes walk depending your foot power.

The location is fantastic, with a café on-site and plenty of attractions nearby. There's also a bus stop close by. The breakfast was lavish. However, for the sauna, the operating hours are short, and the temperature is a bit low. After a few people used the shower, the drain got clogged. I wouldn't recommend it if your main purpose is the sauna. While laundry service is available, it's quite expensive...

The room was good and cosy. It was near to the appuka resort shuttle bus if you have booked activities with them. The breakfast was good too. The location is smack right in the heart of town Center. There is a mall opposite, a Chinese restaurant beside and a walking 5 min to Santa town office. Not to mention bus stop is just 1 min walk. There is no better place to be sleeping in rovaniemi. Part of the Europe regulation; there are no disposal amenities . The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right in the city center. There's a mall and a large supermarket directly across the street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. Booked and the next day tried to shift the dates by one day. They would not allow it and showed zero empathy for the fact that the airport was closed due to war. Also sauna was closed in the early afternoon and past 10 pm which is disappointing. The hotel is very spacious and clean, and the location is excellent. It's easy to hail an Uber, and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel that goes directly to Santa Claus Village, which is super convenient. The breakfast spread is amazing; I looked forward to it every morning!

The room seemed to have been renovated and was relatively new. The location wasn't the best in the area, but since it was a small place, it was only about a five-minute walk to the center, even in the freezing cold. The service was adequate. The room wasn't too small if two people stayed without having to unfold the sofa bed.

If you visit during the snowy season, the glass will be mostly covered in snow, so you won't be able to get a clear view of the sky.

Stayed at Kemi for Icebreaker experience. I have chosen Scandic Kemi, furniture in the rooms are not modern, bathroom is not welcoming and I did not want to take a shower. Beds were clean, temperature of the room was not adjustable, it was enough for cold winter but I prefer if it can be increased. Breakfast was nice, there were plenty of food options.

Nice stay at Kemi Scandic in Ski week. Couldn’t use pool because of cold water(around 20 degrees) but sauna and breakfast was nice. Illumination inside rooms could be enhanced to feel more lively rest everything was fine. Reception staff were welcoming. It is located around 1 km from railway station and there are few markets/shops at walking distance. Snow castle is around 1.5 km but that’s also walkable

Overall the stay was good..the location was nice..however, the room. There were no bathroom mats provided..the beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast timings for the weekends was mentioned as 7am - 10.30am across all gear communication..however, when checked they informed its until 10am on all days..

The hotel is conveniently close to Helsinki Central Station. The room only had towels, a hairdryer, and an electric kettle. I saw a review mentioning that the front desk would heat up food if you asked, as there's no microwave, so I tried, but they couldn't do it. I guess the only good thing about this place is its location.

We spent 4 days here, and the facilities are well-maintained and clean. It's quite well-located, and we absolutely loved the hotel and the very attentive staff! The location is good, very close to the city center, but the room was not cleaned and the trash wasn't emptied. The air conditioning inexplicably stopped working, which caused all the food we bought to spoil. Also, there were small cockroaches scurrying around the room, which was a bit gross. Other than that, everything else was pretty satisfactory.

While it might be due to the season, I felt the hotel's quality didn't match its price. There's no elevator, so I had to carry my heavy suitcase up. The room was small, and I could constantly hear conversations from the next room. If I stay in Rovaniemi again, I'll pay a bit more for a different hotel.

The family room was very nice, but the fifth person was considered an extra bed and slept on a sofa. The hotel ground floor was great for watching the Northern Lights, and we saw them that night. There seemed to be a sauna in the bathroom, but we didn't try it as we didn't know how to use it. The hotel breakfast was an English breakfast, and the hotel entrance offered views of the ski resort.

If you're a couple, make sure to book for two people. Otherwise, the hotel charges extra if only one person is listed. The room temperature isn't adjustable, and the pillows are just okay. The hotel breakfast is decent, but dinner really isn't suitable for a Chinese palate. Overall, the service is good; they can help book activities you're interested in.

Stayed at the Arctic Light Hotel for 3 nights, 23-25th November 2025. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed.
