The hostel has nice beds and relatively clean rooms. It is not that spacious but is big enough to you can fix your things in the luggage. It is warm enough despite the cold weather last October. It is walking distance to the old market and other tourist spots The toilet and bath is outside the room but since the hostel is small this is not a problem. The kitchen is nice and cozy. It is a good venue for people in the hostel to gather around. The staff are nice and helpful in recommendations. I just don"t like the stairs because the hostel doesn"t have elevators

Just 10 minutes walk from the train station. Helsinki is small so most of the museums and sights are in a walking distance from the hostel. The hostel is on the second floor and has no elevator. Beautiful well equipped kitchen with free tea and coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. The Wi-Fi worked well also in the dorm. Bring your own padlock for the lockers. It was free to store the luggage the day I left, that was also nice. I staid in a 8 person dorm. The room became a bit warm and stuffy in the night, but it was so cold outside so it was not an option to open the window.

I stayed with friends for 1 night in this hostel in Helsinki in a triple room. The shower and toilet were shared. The hostel is centrally located in Helsinki and a quick walk to all the interesting sights in town. It's a 3rd floor walk up and one of the smaller sized hostels I've been to, with only about 15 guest rooms. The common area is very comfortable and there is always someone at the reception desk. Their website mentioned that there was breakfast available for purchase, but when we were there, they said that they don't offer breakfast.

Stayed here for 12 nights while attending the Wolrd JR. Hockey Championships. First time for the both of us staying at a Hostel, what a pleasant surprise and a fantastic stay we had at this hostel. The staff are so friendly and are always there to help you. It's a very clean hostel , as far as the WI-FI , WE had no trouble at all . Hook up to Hostel 22 and you should be great. We had it in our rooms . We were sometimes loud with laughter and had a couple kitchen parties , but when 80% of the hostel joins ya ....it's all good !! Bea being my FAVORITE staff personal they were all excellent , helpful workers !! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOSTEL !! Congratulations to Finland for winning GOLD !!

Great location and service. Flexibility by parking. Rooms are clean and tidy. Good Wi-Fi connection. Many sockets for charging. Only the elevator is missing.

Reasonable price. Very comfortable. Homely atmosphere. Why would you waste money going to a fancy expensive hotel when this place is available? Will definitely be back

Excellent location and old building, old furniture. Definitely good choice for people who want to save money staying in the city center.

But beds are old, two stores, old towels and old furniture, used by a lot of people for many years. I stayed in room number 6, and you can hear everything in the corridor and behind the walls there, hear from your bed other guests talking behind the wall.

The private light in my bed didn't work so I asked to change the bed and had to take the second floor bed (my was on the first floor with broken light and no ability to read). After the guest from Germany left I tried to take her 1st floor bed (because no-one was going to repair my light) and the girl-administator seemed so tired of her work that said I "don't have to change so many beds". I paid 32 euro a night, 4 nights stay (124 euro).

LGBT-flag is at reception but the schedule with tourist events happening in the city is in the corner in the kitchen. If you don't use the kitchen you won't find it, so I have missed a lot of interesting events my first days. As for me as a tourist it is better to put the flag in the kitchen but tourist information about events nearby the reception entrance. I have asked about tourist information at reception on the first day I came but all I have got was the city map (which I also have in Google maps in my phone).

The kitchen is closed 23:00-5:00 so you can't even take a cup and drink water from the tap in the kitchen at 23:15.

No lift, 3d floor, but that is also because the building is old in the city center.
I will stay in this hostel again if I do a transit and need to sleep nearby the busstation (10 minutes walk on foot from it).

Roughly, A kilometre away from the central railway station, the place can be reached in 10-12 mins by walk. It's neat and bed/rooms affordable. It has toilets, kitchen and showers. Only be mindful that you need to carry your luggage up the stairs to the third floor as no lifts available. Ring the bell and the door will be unlocked. Info for tours around the city is available there as well.
Restaurants and pubs are in the vicinity.
