great location and good service, average hotel that meets all our needs as a family that goes out most of the day for day tours :)
Great value for money with very clean and modern rooms. It was appreciated that the room had an empty fridge available for use. However, I was disappointed by the lack of coffee/tea amenities in the room.
The heating wasn't working, but after I complained, they offered an extra heater that worked really well. The location is great.
Everything was absolutely perfect. It's close to the city center, and the breakfast was very good – there's something for everyone. The service was also lovely.
Outstanding customer service, easy to go location and excellent amenities
Walking to the hotel takes 16 min. Room is large. Swimming Pool is good but opening hours are very short (limited to afternoon from 3pm to 7pm). If weekend, the pool is opened for morning too but opening hours are very short too (7am to 11am). These are not convenient. The changing room door could not be closed

Great location, close to tram... easy to walk around... just behind the Viking Line's port...
strongly recomend...
The bathroom had cobwebs and there was mold on the room floor. The location is good, but the hotel is quite dated.
The hotel is showing its age, and the room decor feels a little dated. However, the surrounding area is lovely, situated right by the pier. From the rooms, you can enjoy distant views of ships in the harbor. It's also very convenient, with the city center just a ten-minute walk away. The hotel service is good, and the breakfast spread is quite generous.

A nice hotel near the tram station and ferry to Tallinn. Hotel swimming pool is heated and sauna is nice.Nice view from the frozen sea at the room.
The location is really good. The tram is very caring and the facilities amazing. Breakfast the best. And the bar at the top is a must in Helsinki
This is my always hotel when I come to Helsinki since they were opened like 7-8 years ago. Good location, and I like the breakfast spread. Looking forward to stay here in my next trip
If you want to have a real swimming pool, the pool in the hotel is far too small. But you can have a good view from the pool. Everything else is fine, we had a pleasant stay.
The hotel service was excellent, and the breakfast was plentiful. They have many conference rooms, which are perfect for business meetings and other events. I really liked their sightseeing elevator; you can see the sea view from it, which is very nice.
Excellent property, exceeded expectations. Breakfast was good. Nicely located close to public transport.

My 1st visit to Helsinki was impressive by Valo Hotel with their friendliness and helpful staff. The daily buffet breakfast are also very good spread. Nice juices and with good coffee.
Stayed here multiple times. AS always the hotel wa clean, with friendly service and a good varied breakfast.
Clean and new looking. Online check-in and check-out work well. Just be aware that you can online check-in even if your room is not available yet and no one will tell you when it is available — you will have to sit around and go to check the availability from the self-service check-in every once in a while. When I asked staff at the desk, they just said the check-in is at 16 and they don’t know about...
Nice modern hotel. Small room but it has everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Staffs were super helpful and friendly. Would love to stay here if I ever visit Helsinki in the future.
Very nice and welcoming staff! Nice wait staff in the restaurant too. Nice little room. Would definitely come back! The wellness area was a bit pricey for an add on but really nice and chill when quiet! I just would have liked a staff member there to manage noise and groups as I wanted to go on my last night but it was very overcrowded with loud intimidating groups. The location was pretty good, out...

Great stay! Location walking distance from train station. A little walk to the old market hall at most abt 10mins. Recommend it!
Very convenient location, friendly staff, breakfast was very delicious, gym and sauna equipments are good, good choice for staying in Helsinki
cannot recommend this accommodation enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the spotless presentation and cozy atmosphere. The location was absolutely perfect—close to everything but still peaceful at night. Our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing thoughtful local tips. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after long days...

Very nice location, staffs are friendly, very satisfacted for staying even justfor one night.
Conveniently located, the lobby is spacious and well-decorated – a rare find in Europe. The breakfast was excellent and offered a great variety. The hotel has many rooms, and the hallways can be a bit winding. Our room was clean, with a stylish and minimalist design. There was an issue with the bathtub drain cover, making it impossible to shower while standing inside. Luckily, there was ample space...

The hotel was friendly and welcome. The reception staff on arrival is the most helpful and informative. The recently decorated room was delightful and the bed extremely comfortable. Good service, various choice in breakfast and special thanks to Miss Pinky to let us got breakfast on Monday morning as we were rush went to Ferry Terminal to Tallinn,
Good except carpark need additional fee about €23.. quite expensive.
Nearby supermarket was a good point.
Bad thing, no microwave oven for reheat
The Crowne Plaza Helsinki has an excellent location, within walking distance to city center attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable, well-equipped, and the 24-hour service is attentive. It offers great value for money, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.
The room hygiene was terrible. The trash can hadn't been emptied, and the complimentary bottled water had clearly been opened and partially consumed. We requested a room change, but even the new room's carpet wasn't clean.

The staffs were all great and room cleaning need to inform to be made.
Hotel breakfast variety is ok for a few days but variety is the same and no changes even after 3 days. So basically having the same type of food after the 3rd day is boring.
Amenities need to improve like no kettle and I think no body cream too.
But the convenience of the hotel location is the star but do take note if booking...
Beautiful hotel near the Helsinki train station. Breakfast is delicious too.
The hotel's location right next to the station is super convenient. Shopping malls and restaurants are also a short walk away. The room was clean and tidy, and breakfast offered a good variety. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it.
We stayed here for just one night and the location is near the railway station and most of the tourists attractions in walk distance. Very close to the train station, the hotel design is excellent, and the breakfast is plentiful with no waiting for a table. The downsides are that check-in isn't until after 4 PM, and there's often a long queue for check-in.

Decent hotel in a good location. Shopping mall attached with some good food options.
Breakfast at the hotel was passable. Nothing fancy.
To have a kettle in your room you must pay an extra $20 a night. Which we found so odd. We just ended up buying coffee from the mall.
The smell that comes from the bathroom was horrendous. Make sure you keep the bathroom door closed
Great location adjacent to a shopping centre. Walk to most attractions. Room was big. Reception staff were fantastic.

A nice and clean hotel. It's close to Aalto's villa, and the city center is easily accessible by tram. However, arriving from the airport by public transportation (train and bus) was inconvenient, so I recommend taking a taxi. Spent a few days here due to attending a conference in the city. Absolutely loved the place - now part of the Hilton chain but with real underlying character.

It was a nice staying, although needs to be improved. We had a reservation at another hotel but they inform us 2 weeks before leaving about a renovation that they would do to the building and moved us at Plaza hotel, which was in a more convenient location after all. Why 4 star only? Breakfast was dissapointing to me. First time there's no "riisipiirakka"/Karelian pie on a hotel I've been to in Finland. As others said, the selection of breakfast is bigger at other hotels.
It’s hard to complain when you book a standard room and get upgraded to a suite!! Was like a flat minus a kitchen area!! Did thoroughly enjoy my stay here. The environment is great and the location is excellent.
The room was large and spacious, and there was a bar downstairs. The breakfast was quite nice, with à la carte and buffet options. The morning after my check-in was International Women's Day, and they even gave me roses. Overall, it was a very good experience. The location is also very convenient, with a Michelin-starred restaurant downstairs. I recommend it!
Very good location and posh hotel in Helsinki. Highly recommended.
Service: A very poor experience. At 3 AM, someone suddenly tried to enter the room; thankfully, the door was secured with a safety latch. When I called the front desk, they said it was a routine staff check and they had opened the wrong room. When I checked out in the morning, the front desk staff apologized coldly, but I didn't feel any remorse at all. I will never choose this hotel again.
Very nice pool and sauna + steam room. While you're supposed to book times in advance, spontaneous use is also possible without restrictions. Breakfast is also very good, and the bar in the evening is highly recommended. Great hotel.
The sanitation is very good, the breakfast is great, but early check-out is not possible, and there is a lack of flexibility, which leads to a lack of consideration for the customer's perspective. If the next time you stay there has a more complicated itinerary, you should choose carefully.
