great location and good service, average hotel that meets all our needs as a family that goes out most of the day for day tours :)

Great value for money with very clean and modern rooms. It was appreciated that the room had an empty fridge available for use. However, I was disappointed by the lack of coffee/tea amenities in the room.

The heating wasn't working, but after I complained, they offered an extra heater that worked really well. The location is great.

Everything was absolutely perfect. It's close to the city center, and the breakfast was very good – there's something for everyone. The service was also lovely.

Walking to the hotel takes 16 min. Room is large. Swimming Pool is good but opening hours are very short (limited to afternoon from 3pm to 7pm). If weekend, the pool is opened for morning too but opening hours are very short too (7am to 11am). These are not convenient. The changing room door could not be closed

The staff provided an upgrade to a master suite at a reasonable price, so that me and wife have comfortable and enjoyable overnight stay.

The bathroom had cobwebs and there was mold on the room floor. The location is good, but the hotel is quite dated.

The hotel is showing its age, and the room decor feels a little dated. However, the surrounding area is lovely, situated right by the pier. From the rooms, you can enjoy distant views of ships in the harbor. It's also very convenient, with the city center just a ten-minute walk away. The hotel service is good, and the breakfast spread is quite generous.

If you want to have a real swimming pool, the pool in the hotel is far too small. But you can have a good view from the pool. Everything else is fine, we had a pleasant stay.

The hotel service was excellent, and the breakfast was plentiful. They have many conference rooms, which are perfect for business meetings and other events. I really liked their sightseeing elevator; you can see the sea view from it, which is very nice.

My 1st visit to Helsinki was impressive by Valo Hotel with their friendliness and helpful staff. The daily buffet breakfast are also very good spread. Nice juices and with good coffee.

Just be aware that you can online check-in even if your room is not available yet and no one will tell you when it is available — you will have to sit around and go to check the availability from the self-service check-in every once in a while. The staffs were all great and room cleaning need to inform to be made. Hotel breakfast variety is ok for a few days but variety is the same and no changes even after 3 days. We stayed here for just one night and the location is near the railway station and most of the tourists attractions in walk distance. Very close to the train station, the hotel design is excellent, and the breakfast is plentiful with no waiting for a table. The downsides are that check-in isn't until after 4 PM, and there's often a long queue for check-in.

The hotel staff were all friendly. We checked in early and the lady was very helpful. It's close to the train station, different metros and the bus station, there are many travel options too choose from so getting around is super easy. It's close to many malls, so restaurants and shopping are all a walking distance away.

Decent hotel in a good location. Shopping mall attached with some good food options. Breakfast at the hotel was passable. Nothing fancy. To have a kettle in your room you must pay an extra $20 a night. Which we found so odd. We just ended up buying coffee from the mall. The smell that comes from the bathroom was horrendous. Spent a few days here due to attending a conference in the city. Absolutely loved the place - now part of the Hilton chain but with real underlying character. My room was reasonably large and very comfortable. I didn't have any issues with the bathroom becoming waterlogged after showering. Comfortable bed with excellent pillows. It’s hard to complain when you book a standard room and get upgraded to a suite!! Was like a flat minus a kitchen area!! Did thoroughly enjoy my stay here. We stayed here last week while visiting son & daughter in law. Very nice hotel, clean room, friendly staff, breakfast was surprising! huge variety of items plus juices, milk, wine. We would/will definitely stay again!

There are no amenities but very neat and cozy with beautiful view day and night. Don’t forget to bring your slippers and bath gowns along with teeth brushes, then you will be fine. Don’t miss their exquisite breakfast with a sun rising.

Perfect location to loads of restaurants/ cafe / fast food. Directly opposite the train station that service VR train to various parts of Finland. There is also a link department store and 24 hours supermarket. Highly recommended

Service: A very poor experience. At 3 AM, someone suddenly tried to enter the room; thankfully, the door was secured with a safety latch. When I called the front desk, they said it was a routine staff check and they had opened the wrong room. When I checked out in the morning, the front desk staff apologized coldly, but I didn't feel any remorse at all. I will never choose this hotel again.

The sanitation is very good, the breakfast is great, but early check-out is not possible, and there is a lack of flexibility, which leads to a lack of consideration for the customer's perspective. If the next time you stay there has a more complicated itinerary, you should choose carefully.

Best bed and air conditioning I have! Quiet and stylish hotel room. Good location with tram and train stations within walking distance. Nice and friendly staff. Just note the bathroom has no door. If not used to cold weather, you may feel cold while taking the bath. Also the luggage storage at hotel is a series of lockers. If the lockers are full, you may not be able to keep your luggage there.

The hotel is right at city center. It's clean and the breakfast is very good. A little bit down side is that there is no cafe machine in the room.

Location, Hotel, room, and breakfast were all quite good. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go to the sauna and to the gym. Our stay was good. Warning : don't use the shoes cleaning polishing machine in the lobby it badly scratched my brand new shoes and the staff didn't give a damn about it.

The Crowne Plaza Helsinki has an excellent location, within walking distance to city center attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable, well-equipped, and the 24-hour service is attentive. It offers great value for money, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The room hygiene was terrible. The trash can hadn't been emptied, and the complimentary bottled water had clearly been opened and partially consumed. We requested a room change, but even the new room's carpet wasn't clean.
