Hotel Padoue in Lourdes

modern room & perfect location, just 5 minutes walk to the church & grotto

Hotel has 4 star on the side of the building but it’s showing its age and did not feel like it. To be fair, it did look comparable with the other 4-star hotels in the area. Pillow was very very flat and uncomfortable. Room was basic and clean. 

Location was great though - mins walk from the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free parking (7 min walk away) was a nice plus

Our visit was part of a Pilgrimage to Lourdes so a large group. Full board, breakfast , 3 course lunch and dinner, far too much. The quality of food varied from lovely traditional home cooking to disappointing pre-cooked "ready meals". Maybe less food at lunchtime with a better quality dinner time meal. Staff are exceptionally hardworking and always pleasant despite being rushed off their feet. One thing to be aware of for those who are infirm or in a wheelchair is that the hotel is on an exceptionally steep hill.

The hotel is very near the Cathedral which is why we booked here.we have arrived almost midnight as we have travelled all the way from Paris. The staff did not let us wait for long and it was the fastest check in I ever experienced! I only booked for a double room but they gave us a family room which is so spacious. The room is clean and got the basics. The staff are friendly and accomodating and helpful. We did enjoyed our stay here and will definetly book here again.

Check in was smooth. All staff are very friendly! We are a group of 5 and are booked in a 5 person room. Nice and cozy. They even have a second shower and toilet. Small but function make it so much easier for a group of 5. Free parking is a bonus. All great.

The hotel is very close to the Sanctuary, comfortable, and clean; it has air conditioning. We only had one dinner and three breakfasts: the food met the standards of a 4-star hotel.

The staff was helpful in booking our taxi. The bartender was very helpful.

Only one thing the tub are little bit higher but service was very good

The hotel recently got renovated, very clean, fresh and they have 4 elevators which is an important thing.

The location is superb, as it's waling distance to the sanctuary. Only 5-7 minutes walk

The breakfast was simple, doesn't leave a good impression on me to be honest. They have separate room for FIT guest and Groups.

The dinner we had was amazing !

The only downside for this hotel is their bathroom. They have bathtub in each room to accommodate their Japanese Market. The thing is their bathtub is smaller compared to the bathtub at hotel in Japan, I travelled to Japan a lot of times that's why I can easily tell the difference. Due to the small size, it's hard to stand firm on the bathtub. To make it worse, they have a small glass next to the bathtub, which I can't understand why. The glass is not fixed to the side of the bathtub, so it moves back and forth if you push it just like a door

That thing is concerning as it is very dangerous for elderly people, in case they slip at the bathtub and reflexively hold the glass it would be disastrous

I guess this hotel is pet-friendly because I saw people brought their pet to their room, and I once heard a dog barking while walking through the hallway
